There are several characters with a brief appearance in the history of the drama, thus having an apparent minor significance in designing the play. They seem to be mere “working tools” for the playwright. However when relating them to the major issues of the literary product and if integrating them in a larger vision of the whole creation of the author their significance and role can be outlined in a more adequate manner. The Herald may stand for the impossibility of the common man to understand the drama of the artist, for the incapacity of a mediocre person to assimilate the aspirations of the genius. The Second Carter is a good opportunity to express the middle-ages relations between the Orthodoxy of the Romanians and the Lutheranism of the Saxons in Transylvania, the Protestantism and the whole religious Reform having been rejected naturally by the Romanian people. The Third Carter is the pretext to express in an artistic manner a historical reality, i.e. the major role Târgovişte played as a spiritual focal point for the Romanian middle-ages Orthodoxy, but also as a centre for the religious printings in Romanian or Slavonic languages. Also one can distinguish the suggestion of a light irony on the behalf of the author with regards to the human prosaic hypostasis of the Romanian Orthodox priests when associating their two fundamental habits, anointing the priests and taking care of their own housekeeping. The Voivode is an image of a person with a subtle, diplomatic intelligence that leaves room for a waggish wit. He is fully aware of his condition as patron of church building. He hesitates between two decisions he should make concerning Manole the Craftsman: either to highly praise the artist, the creator or to sentence to death the human murderer. Whichever decision he would make, he knows very well his prerogative as a ruler is absolute and supreme, the middle-ages autocracy allowing him anything. Having a refined spirit, the Voivode understands from the very beginning both the superlative features of the creation and the sacrifice of the creator. His attitude seems to be benevolent, conciliatory, as he is very satisfied with the “gift” of the Masons – in his view the church belongs both to the ruler and to God. It becomes obvious the Voivode urges Manole to enjoy the “fruit of his endeavor and of his hands”. He forgives Manole, having been convinced that at the Last Judgment the church Manole has built would exculpate him of all sins. After Manole commits suicide the Voivode pays him the proper respect. The whole portrait configures the Voivode as an exceptional ambassador of his people, at a far distance from the bloody figure portrayed in some variants of the folk ballad, closer to the real historical character, the benefactor of the Argeş Monastery, Neagoe
Bioavailability and Sustained Plasma Concentrations of CoQ10 in Healthy Volunteers by a Novel Oral Timed-Release Preparation
Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) is a natural compound with potent antioxidant properties. Its provision through diet does not always allow adequate levels in the human body, and supplementation is often necessary. This bioavailability study intended to explore the plasma concentration levels of a novel CoQ10 oral preparation (COQUN®, Coenzyme Q10 Miniactives Retard 100 mg capsules) mimicking assumption on a regular basis. Twenty-four healthy adults tested a single dose of CoQ10 100 mg in one day to assess bioavailability. After a one week wash-out period, they were randomly assigned (1:1) to continuous administration for four weeks: Group A (n = 12) 100 mg once a day (OD); and Group B (n = 12) 100 mg twice a day (BID). During the single dose phase, Cmax was observed at 4 h, and the mean values of AUCt and Tmax were 8754 μg/mL·h and 4.29 h, respectively. The multiple dose phase showed increasing plasma levels up to 7 days after the start of administration, and sustained high concentrations during the all administration period. No relevant adverse events were reported. These results show that Miniactives® technology can release CoQ10 to allow high constant blood concentrations without a sharp decrease. This may be the first step of evidence for a potential new antioxidative treatment in human chronic diseases deserving high CoQ10 levels
PHOTOINDUCED WETTABILITY OF TITANIUM OXIDE THIN FILMS
WOS: 000284612100007We present here the results of a systematic investigation of the influence of the main deposition parameters (substrate temperature, deposition time, reactive gas composition, etc.) on the hydrophilic properties of DC sputtered titania films, grown on heated glass substrates (463-573 K), using water vapors as the reactive gas. Reference samples prepared in standard oxygen-based deposition conditions were used to compare the results. All the investigated samples were polycrystalline, with either pure anatase or mixed anatase-rutile nano-phase mixtures, depending on substrate temperature and film thickness. The surface wettability, evaluated from contact angle data during UV irradiation and in the back-reaction conditions, is discussed in terms of the synergic effects of materials structure, surface morphology, elemental composition, and electronic properties.CNCSISConsiliul National al Cercetarii Stiintifice din Invatamantul Superior (CNCSIS) [PCCE-ID_76]; Turkish national research scholarshipTurkiye Bilimsel ve Teknolojik Arastirma Kurumu (TUBITAK) [2218]The financial support from the CNCSIS Contract PCCE-ID_76 is acknowledged by D. Constitutive activation of the G(s)alpha protein-adenylate cyclase pathway may not be sufficient to generate toxic thyroid adenomas
In toxic thyroid adenomas, mutations in the TSH receptor (TSH-R) gene or the gene encoding the alpha-subunit of the stimulatory guanine nucleotide-binding protein (G(s) alpha) have been demonstrated to constitutively activate the cAMP cascade, which subsequently stimulates the growth and function of these tumors. However, the widely varying thyroid phenotypes in patients with TSH-R germline mutations, ranging from only slightly enlarged diffuse to multinodular goiters, suggest that additional mechanisms may be effective in the pathogenesis of toxic adenomas. We have investigated the levels of stimulatory and inhibitory G protein alpha-subunits together with basal and TSH-stimulated adenylate cyclase (AC) activity in toxic adenomas with or without activating mutations and in nodular and extranodular tissues of a toxic goiter due to a germline mutation in the TSH-R gene. Augmented expression of G(s) alpha protein was detected in all toxic adenomas, independent of the presence of mutations, and in the nodular tissue of the toxic goiter, but not in the nonnodular hyperplastic tissue of the toxic goiter with the mutated TSH-R. Analogously, the expression of the alpha-subunit of the inhibitory G protein (G(i) alpha) was also increased in all adenomas and the nodular tissue of the goiter, but, again, not in the hyperplastic goiter tissue. Basal AC activity was high in all tissues with mutations, but was only slightly increased in adenomas without detected mutations. No correlation was detectable between basal or TSH-stimulated AC activity and the levels of G(s) alpha and G(i) alpha. Our data suggest that mutational activation of the cAMP cascade may not be sufficient to generate toxic nodules and adenomas, but far more complex mechanisms, including alterations of G protein signaling, may be effective in the pathogenesis of these tumors

Mircea Eliade as Dramatic Author
This bachelor thesis defines writer Mircea Eliade as a dramatic author, including reception of his work by contemporary literary recenzents in confrontation to his own point of view. It will also explain the backround of creating the playworks. We deside if there are any relations between Eliade's diaries, novels and dramas. We will compare similar subject: the drama Iphigenia by older authors (Euripides, Jean Rotrou, Jean Racine and Johann Wolfgang Goethe) and how much are projected old Romanian folk ballads Miorița (The Little Ewe) and Meșterul Manole (The Master Builder Manole). In the rest of the play works we decide how much is involved Eliade as a religionist especially his theory of "teror of the history" (in partial drama 1241), theory of the "sacral and profane" in drama Oameni și pietre (People and Stones) and the response to the myth around famous sculptor Constantin Brâncuși in the play Coloana fără sfârșit (The Infinite Column). Most of the used texts are available under the lines or in the attachment. Unless it isn't written differently, the translations I've made myself and it was a part of the technical work
Wind farms access to the Romanian transport system
Nowadays, wind generation is developing in the whole world. In conformity with the Romanian present regulations, the wind energy producers must obtain the technical interconnection approval, which consists in the documents presented to the Transmission Grid Operator: an interconnection study for the wind turbines, urbanism certificate, and the property certificate. As the wind turbines are increasingly penetrating the power systems, their impact on power quality is becoming important. Electrical flicker is produced due to the wind turbine switching operations (start or stop), and due to the continuous operation. The paper deals with the access of the wind farms to the Romanian transport system, both from the legislative (policies, regulations, certificates, and incentives) and from the power quality point of view. The flicker study becomes necessary as the wind power penetration level increases quickly
THE STRATEGIC DEVELOPMENT OF HUMAN RESOURCES-IMPERATIVE REQUIREMENT OF THE PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION REFORM
Together with the global economic crisis, the impact of organizational crises on human capital and its performances has become increasingly obvious. From this perspective, the strategic role of human resources’ development is crucial. This development can help the organizational management to improve their operational abilities, that allow a better management of the existing crises and also preventing future one. Most researchers agree that the strategic development of human resources implies systematical processes, formal ones, to be adapted to the needs at the organizational level.strategic development of human resources, managing the institutional crisis, work climate, organizational stress.
