Bibliographics for the 983 eprints in the live archives of E-LIS : trends and status report up to 7th July 2004, based on author-self-archiving metadata
The priority for ideas and philosophy related to "Network Theory" have been traced back and documented by Braun(2004),and credit goes to Karinthy(1929).The IT has empowered to realise it, as the most practical phenomena and it is no more a humour. The OAI (Open Archives Initiatives)and ACIS (Academic Contributor Information System)are progressive in the direction ,which may lead to realise the "Collective Genius" at global level. Focus of present study is on Author-Self-Archiving (A-S-A)Metadata of the 983 Eprints in the Live Archives of the E-LIS (EPrints of Library and Information Science),which were approved till 7th July 2004.The A-S-A Metadata was used for librametric analysis. Self-explanatory bibliographics are illustrated.The highlights include: Conference papers (34%); highest approval, June 2004 (28%); published archives (76%);not refereed (52%); not in public domain (60%); highest self-archiving-author (De Robbio, Antonella).The Nos. of EPrints having single JITA domain specifications were: Theoretical and general aspects of libraries and information(27); Information use and sociology of information(80);Users,literacy and reading(13);Libraries as physical collections(30);Publishing and legal issues(57);Management(13);Industry, profession and education(36);Information sources, supports, channels(113) ; Information treatment for information services, Information functions and techniques (101); Technical services libraries, archives and museums(25); Housing technologies(1); Information technology and library technology(92); and Inter-domainery (395) i.e. having specifications of two or more than two JITA classes

A Unified Shell model for Buoyancy-Driven Turbulence
We construct a unified shell model for stably stratified and convective turbulence. Shell model simulation of stably stratified flow in turbulent regime exhibit Bolgiano-Obukhbov (BO) scaling in which the kinetic energy spectrum varies as . However, simulation of convective turbulence shows Kolmogorov's spectrum. These results are consistent with the direct numerical simulations of Kumar {\em et al.} [Phys. Rev. E {\bf 90}, 023016 (2014)]. We also observe a dual scaling ( and ) for a limited range of parameters in stably stratified flow

DESCRIPTION OF BACILLUS MARITIMUS SP. NOV. Bacillus maritimus (ma.ri′ ti.mus. L. masc. adj. maritimus maritime, marine). Cells are Gram-stain-positive, rod-shaped, endospore-forming (bulging sporangia) and aerobic. Tolerates up to 7 % (w/v) NaCl (optimum 5 %). No growth occurs in the presence of>8.0 % (w/v) NaCl. The temperature range for growth is 12– 42 Ǫ C (optimum 30 Ǫ C). Growth is observed in the pH range 7.0-11 (optimum pH 8.0) but no growth is observed at pH below 6.0. Negative for hydrolysis of casein, starch and gelatin. Nitrate is reduced to nitrite; H 2 S is not produced. Acid is produced from fructose, raffinose, lactose and melibiose but not from adonitol, dulcitol, dextrose, galactose, inositol, inulin, mannitol, mannose, maltose, rhamnose,, sucrose, salicin, sorbitol, trehalose or xylose. Positive for arginine dihydrolase 1, urease, sucrose, trehalose, raffinose, maltose, L- lactate alkalinization, Oi -galactosidase, L- proline arylamidase, Oi -glucosidase and arginine dihydrolase 2, but negative for β -glucosidase, β - galactopyranosidase, β -galactosidase, salicin, optochine resistance, D- amygdalin, phosphatidylinositol phospholipase C, D- xylose, Ala–Phe–Pro arylamidase, cyclodextrin, L- aspartate arylamidase, Oi -mannosidase, phosphatase, leucine arylamidase, L- pyrrolidonyl-arylamidase, β -glucuronidase, alanine arylamidase, tyrosine arylamidase, D- sorbitol, polymixin B resistance, D- galactose, D- ribose, lactose, N -acetyl-D- glucosamine, bacitracin resistance, novobiocin resistance, growth with 6.5 % (w/v) NaCl, D- mannitol, D- mannose, methyl β -D-glucopyranoside, pullulan and 0/129 resistance (comp.vibrio.). Major fatty acids are iso-C 15: 0, anteiso-C 15: 0, iso-C 14: 0 and iso-C 17: 1 I and/or anteiso-C 17: 1 B. The only menaquinone present is MK-7. The major phospholipids are diphosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylglycerol and phosphatidylethanolamine. The type strain, KS16-9 T (= MTCC 12305 T = DSM 100413 T = KCTC 33834 T), was isolated from a marine sediment sample collected from Kovalam, Kanyakumari coastal region of the Indian Ocean, India. An Exponential Lower Bound for Homogeneous Depth-5 Circuits over Finite Fields
In this paper, we show exponential lower bounds for the class of homogeneous depth-5 circuits over all small finite fields. More formally, we show that there is an explicit family {P_d} of polynomials in VNP, where P_d is of degree d in n = d^{O(1)} variables, such that over all finite fields GF(q), any homogeneous depth-5 circuit which computes P_d must have size at least exp(Omega_q(sqrt{d})).
To the best of our knowledge, this is the first super-polynomial lower bound for this class for any non-binary field.
Our proof builds up on the ideas developed on the way to proving lower bounds for homogeneous depth-4 circuits [Gupta et al., Fournier et al., Kayal et al., Kumar-Saraf] and for non-homogeneous depth-3 circuits over finite fields [Grigoriev-Karpinski, Grigoriev-Razborov].
Our key insight is to look at the space of shifted partial derivatives of a polynomial as a space of functions from GF(q)^n to GF(q) as opposed to looking at them as a space of formal polynomials and builds over a tighter analysis of the lower bound of Kumar and Saraf [Kumar-Saraf]
Performance investigation of PID controller in trajectory control of two-link robotic manipulator in medical robots
Robot-assisted surgical procedures have gained much coverage in recent years and favored over manually conducted operations. The medical robots are comprised of manipulators arm that is the multi-degree of freedom positioning devices with a highly non-linear nature to perform various surgical tasks. Due to non-linear effects, robots offer a severe challenge to the control system. Therefore, the control techniques are required for controlling the robots that should be fast enough to accommodate the rapid changes in the system parameters. In this article, the Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) controller’s performance has been investigated in trajectory control of the Two-Link Robotic Manipulator (TLRM) for reliable functioning of these robots. Tracking error and Control input factors have been used to investigate the PID controller’s robustness in trajectory control of ‘TLRM.’ Euler’s-lagrange approach has been used for dynamic analysis of ‘TLRM’.
