No full textIl volume si costituisce come la più completa ed aggiornata analisi critica della vasta ed interessantissima opera architettonica del maestro ternano e del suo importante e cruciale collaboratore tedesco. Il lavoro conclude una pluriennale serie di ricerche (Cnr e Murst dal 1981 al 2002), attività e studi condotti dagli autori sull’opera di Ridolfi e Frankl; essi sono documentate da una lunga sequenza di pubblicazioni precedenti, comprendenti vari saggi su riviste (Lotus international, Controspazio, ecc.) e su libri, cura di mostre (Terni 1979, Biennale di Venezia 1980, ecc.) e dei relativi cataloghi, da una imponente edizione critica del corpus dei disegni e dei documenti conservati all’Accademia di San Luca (Graffiti, Roma 2003, pp. 500) e infine da una monografia dedicata ad una parte specifica, senile ma straordinariamente originale, dell’opera architettonica di Ridolfi (Cellini, D’Amato, Mario Ridolfi, Manuale delle tecniche tradizionali del costruire, Il ciclo delle Marmore, Electa, Milano 1997, pp. 272). Il volume, di 399 pagine, comprende una prima parte storiografica e critica, estesa all’intero arco della vita degli architetti, un album dei disegni e delle opere, un’antologia degli scritti ed una completa e particolarmente accurata dotazione di regesti bio-bibliograficiThe publication constitutes the most complete and up-to-date critical analysis of the vast and highly interesting architectural work of the Italian master born in Terni, and his important and crucial German collaborator. Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
