According to Belon (1903), R. dissimilis differs from R. fimbriata as follows (translated): “1. Between bands or ochraceous spots, with a grayish pubescence slightly more apparent than usual, reducing the bare appearance of the intervals; mainly on the pronotum, the absence of this pubescence is notably evident, and the ochraceous bands do not contrast with the surface more than their shade.—2. The scutellum, slightly rounded laterally and with the apex obtuse, is rather triangular than transverse or square.—3. The system of antennal setae is notably modified. Here, in fact, the setae below the antennae are not very long and thick as in fimbriata; they are arrange as in pulchella, that is to say poorly opposite, when viewed in profile, are distinguished a pubescence vertical, short, almost equal and rather dense.” However, the grayish pubescence may or may not be too evident. Furthermore, it is possible to see that it is present on the elytra of one of the syntypes of R. dissimilis, as a narrow and slightly distinct band close to longitudinal bands on basal half. Also, the yellowish bands on pronotum could be somewhat variable and, in one of the syntypes of R. dissimilis, it is possible to see that it is partially damaged. As for the scutellum, it is common to find variation in the shape. It is not possible to be sure, but seeing a photograph of one of the syntypes of R. dissimilis, the scutellum does not seem triangular. Finally, seeing photographs of the one of the syntypes of R. fimbriata (Fig. 61) and a syntype of R. dissimilis (Fig. 60),it is possible to see that the setae on ventral side of the antennal segments are identical, or almost so, in both specimens. Thus, there is no difference pointed out by the author. Based on the absence of reliable differences between the types of both species, we are considering R. dissimilis as a junior synonym of R. fimbriata.Published as part of Santos-Silva, Antonio, Galileo, Maria Helena M., Joly, Luis J. & Tavakilian, Gérard L., 2018, The genus Rosalba Thomson, 1864 (Coleoptera, Cerambycidae, Lamiinae, Apomecynini), pp. 201-258 in Zootaxa 4387 (2) on page 236, DOI: 10.11646/zootaxa.4387.2.1, http://zenodo.org/record/118736

Tornare a discutere di riviste giuridiche
The Author traces back the role played by legal magazines over the years, emphasising
their being a mirror representation, genuine, silent and at the same time relentless, of the
different phases of legal theory.
The most recent magazines’ function is to renew the dialogue between legal theory and
case-law; this dialogue should neither be casual, nor a captive of the alternative, as sad as
it is popular, between occasional disapproving distancing and too enthusiastic acceptance in
respect of court’ choices
Hsp90 prevents phenotypic variation by suppressing the mutagenic activity of transposons
The canalization concept(1) describes the resistance of a developmental process to phenotypic variation, regardless of genetic and environmental perturbations, owing to the existence of buffering mechanisms. Severe perturbations, which overcome such buffering mechanisms, produce altered phenotypes that can be heritable and can themselves be canalized by a genetic assimilation process. An important implication of this concept is that the buffering mechanism could be genetically controlled. Recent studies on Hsp90, a protein involved in several cellular processes and development pathways(2-5), indicate that it is a possible molecular mechanism for canalization and genetic assimilation. In both flies and plants, mutations in the Hsp90-encoding gene induce a wide range of phenotypic abnormalities, which have been interpreted as an increased sensitivity of different developmental pathways to hidden genetic variability(6,7.) Thus, Hsp90 chaperone machinery may be an evolutionarily conserved buffering mechanism of phenotypic variance, which provides the genetic material for natural selection. Here we offer an additional, perhaps alternative, explanation for proposals of a concrete mechanism underlying canalization. We show that, in Drosophila, functional alterations of Hsp90 affect the Piwi-interacting RNA (piRNA; a class of germ-line-specific small RNAs) silencing mechanism leading to transposon activation and the induction of morphological mutants. This indicates that Hsp90 mutations can generate new variation by transposon-mediated 'canonical' mutagenesis
The search for identity, characteristic of a considerable part of Hispanic American literature, is evident once again, in the poems collected under the title De lejanías by Rosalba Campra in which the author plays with the different formats of the “escrituras del yo” (Different ways to write about myself). However, in spite of this persistent investigation by the author, it is difficult for the reader to grasp her profile because it is continuously escaping, duplicating or it is uncertain or masked. Thus, the text becomes an oxymoron since it reaffirms with persistence an identity through a sentimental or nostalgic confession, but in tracking what is permanent it eludes the same intention of the search
Suitability of the Nisin Z-producer Lactococcus lactis subsp. lactis CBM 21 to be Used as an Adjunct Culture for Squacquerone Cheese Production
This research investigated the technological and safety effects of the nisin Z producer Lactococcus lactis subsp. lactis CBM 21, tested as an adjunct culture for the making of Squacquerone cheese in a pilot-scale plant. The biocontrol agent remained at a high level throughout the cheese refrigerated storage, without having a negative influence on the viability of the conventional Streptococcus thermophilus starter. The inclusion of CBM 21 in Squacquerone cheesemaking proved to be more effective compared to the traditional one, to reduce total coliforms and Pseudomonas spp. Moreover, the novel/innovative adjunct culture tested did not negatively modify the proteolytic patterns of Squacquerone cheese, but it gave rise to products with specific volatile and texture profiles. The cheese produced with CBM 21 was more appreciated by the panelists with respect to the traditional one
The essay analyses the legal guarantee of contracts for the sale of consumer goods under Directive (EU) 2019/771, which has expressly introduced durability as an objective requirement for conformity to achieve more sustainable consumption patterns and a circular economy in an increasingly digital-driven market. Such regulatory innovation, however, does not lengthen products' lifespans nor raise consumer protection against premature obsolescence. In anticipation of the revision of the directive by the first half of 2024, the Author underlines the main weaknesses of the legal guarantee of durability and, assisted by the use of a comparative method, suggests that only a pre-contractual information duty on product lifespan and repairability can make such a guarantee more effective and sustainable
This dissertation is dedicated to the papyrus excerpta of Philochorus of Athens, the greatest Athenian historian of the Hellenistic age, preserved in P. Oxy. X 1241, P. Oxy. XI 1367, P. Oxy. VI 853, P. Berol. inv. 9780, P. Berol. inv. 5008 and P. Oslo inv. 1662. The thesis consists of a preparatory study in view of a new annotated critical edition.
The introductory chapter is divided into two parts: the first is dedicated to a brief overview of the author; the second is reserved for exposing the methodological criteria on which the present research is based.
The Athenian Attidographer is not the object of study of this research, but it is its glue, a thread that links readers and users of many eras, very distant from the one where he lived and worked. The object of study of this research is the power and liveliness of its historiographical production: the methods, times, and places in which it was digested and handed down. In the perspective of reversing the point of view from the cited author, Philochorus, to the citing author, the historiographical fragments were not examined individually but as a group excerpta, each for each witness: hence the assigned nomenclature ( 1F, 2F, 3F, 4F, 5F and 6F).
Each chapter is developed in four paragraphs and inaugurated by a summary file, containing the salient information about the provenance, the place of conservation, the editio princeps, the following editions, the available reproductions, the bibliographic information and the dimensions of the artefact. All these notions are deepened in the first paragraph. The main aspects concerning the material facies of the finds are also addressed in this section: the anatomical configuration, the bibliological structure, layout, and textual and paratextual semeia . Particular attention was paid to the palaeographic analysis of the witnesses.
The second paragraph is dedicated to analyzing the cover-text, i.e. the sources cited contextually with Philochorus. In contrast, the third paragraph is devoted to the re-edition of the philochorean fragment. For each fragment, I provide both critical-philological and palaeographic apparatus. A commentary on the text follows all reeditions. In the commentary, the aim is an overall assessment of the degree of transformation undergone by the excerptum.
The fourth paragraph shifts the attention from the cited sources to the citing author, whose modus operandi is investigated in all its facets.
The concluding chapter attempts to balance the project's focal aspects
