No full textNegli ultimi tempi, l’avvento della tecnologia digitale ha definitivamente trasformato le immagini fotografiche in un block notes visivo di massa, confermando così l’intuizione del 1936 di Walter Benjamin che individuava nella fotograia, la vera e originale forma artistica della contemporaneità, quella in cui «la quantità si è ribaltata in qualità», rovesciando i canoni estetici della cultura occidentale e ponendo finalmente le basi di un’arte democratica per le masse popolari. Le masse popolari di cui parlava Benjamin, e in particolare la sua parte pobre e umile – gli esclusi – furono anche la musa ispiratrice e il soggetto finale delle architetture di Lina Bo Bardi.Ces derniers temps, l’avènement de la technologie digitale a déinitivement transformé les images photographiques en un bloc-notes visuel de masse, conirmant ainsi l’intuition de Walter Benjamin qui en 1936 voyait dans la photographie la forme artistique véritable et originale du monde contemporain, celle dans laquelle « la quantité se renverse en qualité», bouleversant les canons esthétiques de la culture occidentale et posant enin les bases d’un art démocratique pour les masses populaires. Les masses populaires dont parlait Benjamin, et en particulier leur part pauvre et humble – les exclus –, furent également la muse inspiratrice et le sujet inal des projets architecturaux de Lina Bo Bardi

No full textThe tractate Keritot of the Babylonian Talmud belongs to the Order of Qodashim in the Mishnah. It discusses the Temple and its rituals, especially sacrifices, but deals mostly with laws of incest, sexual transgressions, childbirth, and miscarriages. In this commentary, Federico Dal Bo provides a historical, philological and philosophical investigation on these gender issues. He discusses almost the entire tractate, referring to many other sources, Jewish (the Dead Sea Scrolls, the Sifra, and other rabbinic texts) as well as non-Jewish (Akkadian, Hittite, and Ugaritic). The author also provides accurate philological observations both on the Mishnah and the Gemara. Finally, he addresses gender issues by combining a reductionistic approach to Talmudic study (the so called "Brisker method") with philosophical deconstruction. Dal Bo shows that in nearly the entire tractate Keritot the rabbis discuss human sexuality in a tendentious and restrictive way, claiming that heterosexuality is the only proper sexual contact and progressively stigmatizing any other kind of sexual behavior

Dal punto di vista demografico, si tratta del periodo in cui si completa il recupero del relativo spopolamento causato principalmente dalla Peste Nera del 1348 e dalle epidemie successive, e in cui tornano a manifestarsi i segni di un equilibrio precario tra popolazione e risorse. Tuttavia, la storia della popolazione italiana durante tali secoli risulta chiaramente poco studiata, lacuna a cui questo volume si propone di rimediare
Comparative analysis of air-gap PD characteristics: vegetable oil/pressboard and mineral Oil/pressboard
No full textPartial Discharge (PD) is considered to be one of the main reasons for aging and degradation of the oil/pressboard insulation system in power transformers. Vegetable oils which own excellent dielectric performance are introduced as potential insulation liquids substituting traditional mineral oil. In this paper, an air-gap PD model was adopted to investigate the PD characteristics of refined rapeseed oil and Karamay 25# mineral oil that are both currently employed in liquid filled power transformers. The PD current pulse waveform analysis (PD-CPWA) method was used to investigate PD mechanisms of two different insulation systems: mineral oil/pressboard and vegetable oil/pressboard. For both insulation systems, phase resolved partial discharge (PRPD) patterns throughout the accelerated deterioration experiments were compared. The extracted ?-q-n plots with respect to various PD times were analyzed. It is found that, the air-gap PD stage characteristics of vegetable oil/pressboard are more notable. It has fewer double-peak pulses, smaller inception phase angle, lower charge amplitude, higher repetition rate, and more remarkable ‘rabbit-ear’ patterns than mineral oil/pressboard. The PD development process of both insulation systems can be characterized by four stages: initial discharge stage, weak developing stage, discharge burst stage and pre-breakdown stage
Influence of Al contents on the long-term corrosion behaviors of cold-sprayed Zn-xAl coatings
No full textZnsingle bondAl coating is considered one of the most economic candidates for marine static immersive corrosion protecting technology, in which the Al/Zn ratio is quite crucial to achieve a certain aggressive ions concentration corrosion. In this study, different Al contents Zn-xAl composite coatings were prepared using low-pressure dynamic cold spraying, potentiodynamic polarization and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy techniques were implied to reveal the long-term corrosion behaviors in 3.5 wt% NaCl solution and experimentally optimize the Al and Zn composition of the composite coating for marine static immersion corrosive resistance. The results showed that the weight loss kinetics curve of Zn-xAl composite coatings conforms well to a linear equation over time after logarithms, an increase in Al content leads to enhanced corrosion resistance of Zn-xAl composite coatings. After 1440 h immersion, the optimum Znsingle bond95Al composite coating, with high ECorr (−1.522 V) and low ICorr ((4.881 ± 0.98) × 10−5 A/cm2), presented the best corrosion resistance, due to the compact network passive film composing of Al(OH)3 and Al2(OH)5Cl2H2O, which slowed down mass-transfer step of Zn/Al elements
