No full textDentro del desarrollo de las líneas de acción del Plan General de Desarrollo 2016-2019 de la Universidad Santo Tomás, se tiene como subobjetivos de la línea de proyección social e investigación pertinentes "Incrementar la producción investigativa con impacto regional, nacional e internacional" y “Aumentar de manera progresiva y sostenible la cooperación académica con otras instituciones nacionales e internacionales”. En ese sentido, como Director de la Maestría en Estadística Aplicada realicé dos ponencias en el XXIX Simposio Internacional de Estadística, evento que se realizó en la ciudad de Barranquilla del 15 al 19 de julio de 2019 en las instalaciones de la Universidad del Norte.
Por otro lado, teniendo en cuenta que la Universidad del Norte, institución coorganizadora del evento, ofrece el programa de Maestría en Estadística Aplicada, se realizó la gestión con el fin de realizar un convenio especifico que permita promover la cooperación académica entre los dos programas.http://unidadinvestigacion.usta.edu.c

No full textEste trabajo realiza una comparación diacrónica entre las protestas universitariasde 1971 y 2011 en Colombia, para responder ¿;por qué, pese a las similitudes en lasorganizaciones que las promovieron, existen marcadas diferencias en susrepertorios y marcos de acción colectiva? En la primera parte se reconstruyen lascontiendas políticas que dieron origen a las movilizaciones. Seguidamente, seanalizan las similitudes que ambas coyunturas presentan en las estructuras demovilización que sustentaron las protestas. En la tercera parte, se analizan lasdiferencias en los marcos de acción colectiva y los repertorios de acción quecaracterizaron las movilizaciones. Finalmente, se comparan los contextossociopolíticos en que se desenvuelven los dos ciclos de protesta.This paper makes a diachronic comparison between the university protests of 1971
and 2011 in Colombia. Try to answer: why, despite the similarities in the
organizations that promoted, there are marked differences in their repertoires and
collective action frames? In the first part the political contention that led to the
movilizations are rebuilt. Then, the similarities that both situations occur in
mobilizing structures that supported the protests are analyzed. In the third part,
differences in the frames of collective action and repertories of action that
characterized the protest are analyzed. Finally, we compare the social and political
contexts in which the two cycles of protest develop
