    Illegal Moldovan migration to the european union

    This article analyzes the illegal migration from Moldova into the EU countries. The main routes to the EU countries are through Romania, Ukraine, Turkey and other countries. Each route has its own specific features, such as transport availability, visa / visa free regimes, etc. The author researches illegal Moldovan migration patterns (“green zone” passage, fake ID passage, breaking of labour and residential laws of the receiving country, etc.). Much attention is also attributed to researching the activity of national actors and their cooperation, as well as organization and realization of illegal labour migration. An attempt to determine the scale and trends of illegal Moldovan labour migration is made, based on statistical data.     Children’s Album for Piano in the Works of MoldOvan Composers

    The author of the article examines piano works dedicated to children written by Moldovan composers from the point of view of their use in the piano educational practice as children’s cycles (albums and suites consisting of piano miniatures). For many Moldovan composers (L. Gurov, S. Lobel, V. Rotaru, Z. Tkach, A. Mulyar, B. Dubossarsky, O. Negrutsa, G. Ciobanu, etc.) the work on piano miniatures was a kind of «creative laboratory» that preceded the appearance of larger works — suites, sonatas, concertos, symphonies, etc. The priorities in the children’s piano works of Moldovan authors are contrasting in style: slow lyrical pieces (Lullaby, Doina, Prelude, Song, Poem, etc.) and mobile miniatures (Jock, Batuta, Ostinato, Comic, Scherzo, etc.) with dance or scherzo-humor character. These plays can greatly enrich the repertoire of children’s music schools and lyceums, as they are distinguished by Moldovan color, national and genre properties, peculiarity of the figurative-emotional system and the certainty of technical tasks

    The article analyzes the dynamics of Czech-Moldovan relations in the period from 1993 to 2021. The general chronological analysis is put into the context of regional trends in Central Europe and Eastern Europe, as well as the distinctive features of the Czech Republic’s foreign policy and their changes over time. The article is divided into three parts corresponding to the phases of the Czech-Moldovan political interaction: passivity in the 1990s, sharp activation in the period 2004–2014 and stagnation in the second half of the 2010s. The article pays special attention to the humanitarian aspects of political interaction, which became the key area of cooperation in the analyzed period. The author considers the influence of various factors on the changing nature of interaction, identifies general trends that illustrate the specifics of Czech-Moldovan relations

    The transition of Moldovan Vernacular Residential Architecture in the XIX century

    Starting with the 14th century, Principality of Moldova inhabited the territories between Nistru River, the Black sea, Danube and the Carpathian Mountains. This location, although having well-delimited natural borders, represented the intersection of multiple spheres of influence such as the intersection between the Ottoman Empire and the European Monarchies, Islam and Christianity etc.Since 1504 Moldova has been in a decline which led to its occupation under Ottoman rule, which was followed by ruthless oppressions of the state in terms of law, economy and rule. Nevertheless, the harshest oppression was experienced under the Russian occupation. With the treaty of Bucharest in 1812, the territory of Moldova is ruptured in two regions – Basarabia which was ceded to the Russian Empire, and Moldova that stayed under Ottoman occupation for 50 more years. This paper aims to shed light in the transition of vernacular residential architecture from Basarabia under the denationalization policies established by the Russian Empire. This will be followed by a comparative study with the architectural development of the unoccupied region of Moldova. The research question is posed: What are the characteristics of the Moldovan vernacular architecture in Basarabia and how did it change in the 19th century in comparison with the Non-occupied region of Moldova ? The content of the research starts with a brief text explaining the lay of the land, internal/external factors that influenced Moldovan society, culture and architecture. The historical descriptive chapter is followed by an extensive description on the typical architecture of the residences in rural regions and their building technology. The chapter would subsequently describe the local residential typologies in terms of space and area.The research further broadens into two chapters explaining the traditional ornamentation and dimensions/structure subsequently. This allows a broader overview into the similarities, identities and differences of the minorities that inhabited the land that is described in the next chapter - Regional and Ethnic characteristics of Moldovan residential vernacular architecture.To answer the last part of the research question, comparative study is presented in the conclusion chapter of the research, it simultaneously leads to more questions that this research managed to tackle and prospects of study. The conclusion of this research states that although the local population met little to no interaction between West and East Moldova (Basarabia) their architectural identities stayed the same in terms of components and ornamentics.     Transforming the old into a foundation for the new - lessons of the Moldova ARIA Project

    This paper is a case study of what is recognized as one of the more successful projects in any country in the Europe and Central Asia region, not to mention in the poorest country of the region-Moldova. The ARIA project shows new ways to attack some of the most intractable problems of private sector development in Europe and Central Asia: how to facilitate reorganization and liquidation bankruptcies; how to promote small and medium enterprise spin-offs and new start-ups; and how to promote new learning at the enterprise level, both in the form of"Marshall Plan"programs with more advanced post-socialist countries, as well as continuous improvement programs (such as those adapted from Japanese programs). The prime mover for these programs is the quasi-public restructuring agency, ARIA, which was established as part of the Moldova Private Sector Development I loan. ARIA was structured to try to combine private sector entrepreneurship with a public function in the process of restructuring and bankruptcy. The study tries to account for the strategies and innovations that lead to results.     THE IMAGE OF THE CUCKOO IN THE MOLDOVAN SONG FOLKLORE

    Studying the ornithological morphology images of the traditional culture of different nations is one of the directions of modern ethnomusicology. In this article the author considers the image of the cuckoo in the Moldovan folklore tradition on the example of the analysis of a number of song texts. As material for research, were used the samples of song folklore, collected during field expedition work, presented in a comparative analysis of the poetic texts with the famous songs from the earlier published folklore collections (collections by Z. Tkaci, C. Rusnac, and A. Kriminsky). As a result, there is established the prevalence of motifs of loneliness, disorder of life connected with the image of this bird. The author sees this peculiarity classifying the cuckoo to a masculine gender (in the Romanian language), but not to woman’s (in the Russian language)

    CORPORATE GOVERNANCE – DETERMINANT OF MOLDOVAN BANKING SYSTEM STABILITY

    Recent events recorded in the banking sector of the Republic of Moldova – establishing special administration in three commercial banks by the National Bank of Moldova (NBM) – have highlighted the significant role which the quality of corporate governance presents for banking system. The aim of this paper is to identify the challenges of corporate governance for the stability of the Moldovan banking system and destabilizing effects of weak corporate governance structures within banking institutions and analyze the consequences of corporate governance deficiencies. For achieving the goal the author conducted a detailed analysis of normative acts regulating the banking system in order to identify the existing gaps regarding this subject and analyzed recent performances of commercial banks in Moldova. Despite some progress in addressing the recommendations of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the satisfactory reported performance of banks, there are serious governance problems in several banks including the largest ones

    В настоящей статье автор обращается к жанру прелюдии — одному из самых популярных в фортепианной музыке. Жанр прелюдии нашел широкое распространение и в творчестве композиторов Республики Молдова. Цель статьи — рассмотрение с исполнительской точки зрения прелюдий для фортепиано, написанных отечественными авторами и включённых в педагогический репертуар студентов-пианистов кафедры специального фортепиано Академии музыки, театра и изобразительных искусств. Автор анализирует форму этих сочинений, черты стиля, особенности драматургии, композиторского языка. Статья содержит многочисленные исполнительские и педагогические рекомендации для молодых пианистов. Делается вывод о роли данных пьес в оптимизации процесса профессионального образования и воспитания студентов.In the present article the author presents a review of piano preludes written by Moldovan composers in the second half of 20th century which are frequently studied at the Academy of Music, Theatre and Fine Arts of the Republic of Moldova. The author seeks to characterize their imagery, musical language means and technical difficulties that can be encountered by young performers. The works analyzed are approved in the author's teaching practice. The preludes were written by Gheorghe Neaga, Vladimir Rotaru, Semion Lungul, Constantin Rusnac, Alexei and Marian Stârcea, Vitaly Sechkin. Some information about these miniatures can be found in research by musicologists E. Kletinich, A. Miroshnikova, E. Gupalova. A detailed analysis from a performer's standpoint presented in the article is made for the first time. The piano pieces indicated above are diverse. The two preludes by A. Stârcea contrast with one another: one has a lyrical character, whereas the other one differs in its drama and flustered character. The piece by Gh. Neaga bears the traces of impressionist music. C. Rusnac’s and V. Rotaru’s creations are composed using Moldovan doina stylistics, and S. Lungul’s lyrical miniature is nationally neutral. In the two preludes by M. Stârcea, modern musical language means are used, and sharp rhythms and dissonant harmonies abound. The article also presents five preludes-pictures by Vitaly Sechkin, a Ukrainian composer who spent his last period of life in Moldova. Inspired by Moldovan vivid landscapes, they differ in their imagery and tempo. Nonetheless, each of the miniatures has its own individual appearance and peculiarities of style. All the works reviewed are distinguished by bright themes and original music language. They represent a substantial enrichment of national piano repertoire and are a striking contribution of autochthonous authors to the development of the prelude genre in the world’s piano music

    This article describes some of the most substantial examples of musical works written by the composers of the Republic of Moldova at the turn of the 21st century in the genre of Concerto for Piano and Orchestra. This study focuses on compositions by G. Ciobanu, L. Shtirbu, and Z. Tkach. Their work are analyzed from the point of view of the characteristics of the thematic material, musical language, composition and dramaturgy. he author arrives at the conclusion that these compositions are representative examples of contemporary Moldovan composition art, demonstrate a fruitful collaboration between composers and performers and show an advanced level of development of national composition and performance traditions
