Otro de los aspectos que hacen pertinente el trabajo investigativo son los postulados de la carta magna del Ecuador (2008) que reorienta y prioriza la intervención del Estado en los programas sociales, en el mejoramiento de la calidad educativa de todo el Sistema Nacional de Educación, en la capacitación, innovación, evaluación y desempeño de los docentes, en la formación de los profesionales que egresan de las diversas universidades del país, en la propuesta y diseño de los currículos con el enfoque general de competencias, en la oportunidad de becas para la innovación de conocimientos en las mejores universidades a nivel nacional, regional y mundial...Regarding the decision to develop this theme, the author highlights transformations of social relations for the development of globalization which rapidly leads to advances in science, technology, knowledge, communication that promotes that the powers of the State, social actors, institutions worry about being at the forefront of innovation to propose changes that generate primarily in the education restructuring of the academic offerings at the level of the different levels of education in particular in higher education, proposed curricular chords with scientific and technological innovation for the achievement of learning outcomes that promote quality in the training of professionals.Another aspect that makes relevant the research work are the tenets of the Constitution of Ecuador (2008) that reorients and prioritizes the intervention of the State in social programmers, the improvement of the educational quality of the entire national system education, training, innovation, evaluation and performance of teachers, in the training of professionals who graduate from different universities of the country, in the proposal and design of curricula with the general approach of competences, in the opportunity scholarships for the innovation of knowledge at the best universities to national, regional and global levels...Depto. de Trabajo Social y Servicios SocialesFac. de Trabajo SocialTRUEunpu
In this research, we have analyzed a part of the most public social network with the greatest impact today, Twitter, where thousands of users daily transmit, sustain and perpetuate violent messages, whether symbolic or explicit, that directly attack the dignity of women and highlight gender inequality. Online gender violence must be understood not only as one that occurs within sentimental relationships but also as the one suffered by women in their daily lives in different contexts because of gen-der. In particular, the Internet is constituted as a virtual reality that generates its own rules and lacks clear limits, leaving women exposed to all types of aggression. The main objective of this research is to favor the identification, analysis and classification of the different types of violence, both explicit and symbolic, against women on the social network Twitter...Depto. de Trabajo Social y Servicios SocialesFac. de Trabajo SocialTRUEunpu
En este estudio se plantearon dos objetivos principales, el primero buscó develar las interacciones sociales, ambientales e institucionales que propiciaron la configuración de los modelos de intervención de los asentamientos informales en Madrid entre 1975-2015 dirigidos a garantizar el derecho a la vivienda adecuada a las familias en situación de pobreza y exclusión, y su vinculación a las estructuras del bienestar en España...Debates about intervention approaches on informal settlements have focused mainly on the actions carried out in the cities of Latin America, Africa and Asia, leaving aside the processes and forms of intervention given in some European cities, actions that managed to revert informal urbanization through the constitution of institutional and regulatory frameworks, the formulation and implementation of specific urban and social policies, plans and programs aimed at respond this problem. This study had two main objectives. The first sought to unveil the social, environmental and institutional interactions that led to the configuration of intervention models of informal settlements in Madrid between 1975-2015 aimed at guaranteeing the right to adequate housing for families in poverty and exclusion situation as well as their connection to welfare structures in Spain. The second, aimed to identify the substantive and specific contributions of Social Work to the constitution of the public housing provision system and to the social integration of the families living in the shanty towns of Madrid. Special attention has payed to neighborhoods remodeling and rehousing programs implemented in that period of study...Depto. de Trabajo Social y Servicios SocialesFac. de Trabajo SocialTRUEunpu

The laboratory as a tool for innovation in social science teaching
This article analyzes the results of a teaching innovation project developed during the academic year 2021-2022, whose main objective was to assess the need to in- clude a compulsory subject of mediation and collaborative conflict resolution in the degree in Social Work at UCM. To this end, an international working group has been formed in the form of an Ideas Lab that has developed a research combining quan- titative (questionnaire) and qualitative (Design Thinking) tools, whose results have allowed to develop a proposal that has been submitted to the dean's office for consideration in the future modification of the degree. But undoubtedly, the most remarkable thing is that through the laboratory it has been possible to guaran-tee essential elements for the quality of the training of our university community: transversality, transdisciplinarity, internationalization and transfer of knowledgeEn este artículo se analizan los resultados de un proyecto de innovación docente desarrollado durante el curso 2021-2022, cuyo objeto principal objetivo era valo- rar la necesidad de incluir una asignatura obligatoria de mediación y resolución colaborativa de conflictos en el grado en Trabajo Social de la UCM.
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis
Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more
sophisticated methods
