No full textLa 5ème Rencontre du CEDITER, organisée à Bari conjointement avec l’Université Aldo Moro de Bari (Italie), est divisée autour de 4 Sessions : la relationnalité, la dimension historique des territoires, les ressources culturelles et les conditions institutionnelles. Le titre de la Rencontre « ANCIENS ET NOUVEAUX POINTS CARDINAUX : ORIENTATION ET DÉFIS D'UN MONDE EN DEVENIR » représente la métaphore des points cardinaux. En fait, ces points cardinaux se poursuivent, s'entrelacent, même s'ils ne suivent pas de règles dictées a priori. Chacun d’entre eux sous-tend une réflexion scientifique qui s'est développée dans ces dernières décennies mais, pour répondre à la nécessité d'arriver à une connaissance adéquate de la réalité, ils doivent nécessairement dialoguer. Il s'agit donc de faire interagir de manière holistique. L'enjeu, en effet, est de reformuler l'agenda de la connaissance, de se débarrasser des certitudes présumées, de plus en plus mises en crise, d'affronter les dilemmes, la multiplicité des visions possibles : c'est-à-dire de construire des relations entre des pensées différentes, préfigurant de nouveaux scénarios, voire inédits

raccolti in classi omogenee secondo requisiti prognostici e/o demografici;
avendo dunque estrapolato tra i vari sottogruppi uno di diretto interesse, a questo resta
improntata l’indagine sulla portata dell’azione terapeutica, in forma di problema di test
d’ipotesi. Il responso conclusivo viene infine adattato alla sensibilit`a tendenziale esibita
verso il trattamento da parte dei restanti sottogruppi; a tale scopo si `e ricorso, secondo
l’impostazione bayesiana, ad un modello di regressione gerarchica, in cui effetti sperimentali
di verso concorde sono supposti scambiabili. La descrizione delle modalit`a di intervento
dei sottogruppi di supporto nel processo decisionale, relativo a quello d’interesse,
viene riferita in particolare all’analisi di dati binari (incidenza di eventi clinici)
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Full text linkThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Cultivating purpose-driven organizations: The hidden potential of employee activism
No full textEvolving communication trends have transformed how companies engage with their
stakeholders, shifting to a dialogical relationship where transparency and authenticity
are paramount. This shift has seen companies and CEOs embracing activism and
aligning corporate activities with social issues. Employees are also increasingly acting
as internal activists, advocating for changes within their organizations and beyond,
which has significant implications for corporate strategy and communication.
Literature highlights the critical role of employees in brand-building through behaviors
that align with corporate values, enhancing brand perception and customer engagement.
Employee supportive voice, as an internal marketing strategy, improves
communication and fosters a sense of responsibility and alignment with the company’s
purpose.
We conducted in Italy 10 in-depth interviews with corporate communications directors
and senior internal communications executives to identify current themes in employee
activism as part of a cross-national qualitative study including also the US. Findings
reveal that in Italy advocacy activism, which supports corporate initiatives through
bottom-up efforts and ERGs, is the most common form. Findings also emphasize that
employee advocacy activism thrives in purpose-driven companies, creating synergies
between employees and organizations.
Building on marketing and communication literature on employee activism, corporate
activism, CEO activism, employee voice and communication behavior, and the results
of the empirical study among Italian companies, we arrive to propose a conceptual
model to further investigate the factors that may influence employee activism intentions
and in particular in its advocacy forms, and the potentially crucial role of CEO and
corporate activism in such a relationship

A variational model for reconstructive phase tranformations in crystals, and their relation to dislocations and plasticity
Full text linkWe study the reconstructive martensitic transformations in crystalline solids (i.e., martensitic transformations in which the parent and product lattices have arithmetic symmetry groups admitting no finite supergroup), the best known example of which is the bcc–fcc transformation in iron. We first describe the maximal Ericksen-Pitteri neighborhoods in the space of lattice metrics, thereby obtaining a quantitative characterization of the “weak” transformations, which occur within these domains. Then, focusing for simplicity on a two-dimensional setting, we construct
a class of strain-energy functions admitting large strains in their domain, and which are invariant under the full symmetry group of the lattice. In particular, we exhibit an explicit energy suitable for the square-to-hexagonal reconstructive transformation in planar lattices.We present a numerical scheme based on atomic-scale finite elements and, by means of our constitutive function, we use it to analyze the effects of transformation cycling on a planar crystal. This example illustrates the main phenomena related to the reconstructive martensitic phase changes in crystals: in particular, the formation of dislocations, vacancies and interstitials in the lattice
