Accounting for Climate Change: A Temporal Analysis of the Literature
This study presents a systematic literature review of articles related to accounting for climate change. By adopting the theoretical lenses of the actor–network theory, this study investigates the primary actors influencing management research on accounting for climate change and how their roles have evolved over time considering major international climate agreements, such as the Paris Agreement and the European Green Deal. Results of this study reveal a shift in research focus from corporate sustainability reporting and voluntary disclosures to broader economic models integrating climate adaptation, risk management, and green finance post-2015. The findings highlight how the role of dominant actors evolved over time, with increased polarization in the field. Thus, results provide evidence for the reflectivity of global political and economic developments on the evolution of the scientific debate, also in the area under investigation
oggi emergenti. The coronavirus emergency is contaminating the lives of individuals and
societies in all fields: not only the social-healthcare area but also the ethical-
social, cultural, political, legal and juridical spheres are “infected” by
a virus which does not seem to save, either directly or indirectly, bodies
or spirit. A “virological” emergency risks impressing an abrupt “turn”
on processes that were thought to have been acquired: from daily habits
to globalisation, from education to work, the world no longer seemsto revolve around consolidated axes. An integral part of this change of
direction, which at the moment cannot be clearly foreshadowed in its
directions, is the structure on the basis of which legal programs and policy
choices are oriented, in particular, with regard to the protection of
public health and employment conditions and relations. The emergency
government decree is putting to the test the legal system’s constitutional
soundness and is taking up all the space in the configuration of situations
susceptible to regulatory intervention, increasingly entrusted to
technical-scientific committees of experts in the sector. In some cases the
transformations underway entail a misalignment of the law from traditional
principles and categories. This process is very rapid in execution
and, therefore, there is not the necessary discussion and elaboration of
new general guidelines. In this contribution we try to offer a first critical
reflection on the factors and developments regarding the legal (or, vice
versa, para- or anti-legal) elements emerging today
Review of the conference book Corporate governance: International outlook by A. M. Gallo, U. Comite, & A. Kostyuk
The genesis of the book Corporate Governance: International Outlook, edited by Alba Maria Gallo, Ubaldo Comite, and Alexander Kostyuk, can be traced back to the International Online Conference “Corporate Governance: International Outlook” held on June 5, 2025. The book compiles the manuscripts broadly categorized into four distinct, albeit interrelated themes of corporate governance — board of directors’ practices, artificial intelligence (AI), sustainability and reporting, and several other key aspects of corporate governance, including legal aspects, public policy, small and medium enterprises amongst others, which are highly relevant as well as frequently discussed at public platforms.ei tietoa saavutettavuudest
Telemedicine Services: Opportunities and Developments in Italy
Telemedicine services, with the collection and sharing of patient clinical data, have gone from an emergency response during the pandemic to an essential structural investment for the Italian health system.
Telemedicine is a part of the main digital transformation process in healthcare and is establishing itself
as a key technological tool to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the system. Indeed, it can make
the difference in each phase of healthcare, from prevention to access to care, up to the real patient care,
helping to shift the center of gravity of the Italian healthcare system moving from the centralized care
in the hospitals to home healthcare. Through a literature review, an overview of the telemedicine in the
Italian context is proposed, discussing the factors that facilitate its development, the main barriers to
its implementation, and the future prospects of these digital tools that are useful to support the National
Healthcare System
The Weltbühne-Prozess against Carl von Ossietzky (1931): Democracy and Rights in the Weimar Republic
The paper analyses the political implications of the Weltbühne-Prozess, one of the most controversial cases in 20th Century German history. On the basis of archive research carried out at the Foreign Office of the GFR, the author underlines, on the one hand, the international implications of the trial and, on the other hand, the questionable way in which the trial was conducted. The Weltbühne-Prozess was an example of the crisis in the democratic institutional structures of the Weimar Republic

The efficiency of nations in the struggle against the COVID-19 pandemic
The COVID-19 crisis has caused unprecedented suffering across the world. Millions have become infected, and hundreds of thousands have lost their lives. Nations mobilised their health workers and infrastructure to curb the spread of the disease and cure the infected. This paper aims to investigate the efficiency of nations in their struggle against the COVID-19 and how their efficiency changed over time analysing data from June and December 2020 with a novel three-stage methodology. In the first stage, we clustered 107 nations into highly competitive, competitive, and non-competitive countries using their Global Competitiveness Index scores published by the World Economic Forum evaluate a country in a group of comparable countries. In the second stage, we used Data Envelopment Analysis to assess the efficiency of each nation. In the third stage, we investigated the relationship between countries' efficiency and performance in 66 variables published in the United Nations Human Development Report along with the long-debated aspect of a nation's political governance regime using Tobit regression. Based on the data in June and December, the USA and the UK were the worst performers in the highly competitive nations cluster, Chile and Peru were the worst performers in the competitive nations cluster, and Brazil and Mozambique were the worst performers in the non-competitive nations cluster, respectively. Air pollution, international inbound tourists, urban population significantly reduced while domestic credit and gross national income per capita significantly increased efficiency, but the political regime did not affect efficiency
