Among these, AI and machine learning have proven to be valid engagement and storytelling tools for museums, in particular for the creation of interactive chatbots and better customize visitor experience. This paper aims to reason about the possibilities of these existing tools, discussing their potential and limitations. The collection of visitor flow data
within the museum and the interactive use of chatbots allow different levels of personalization of the visit. The real question is: how can an evolving AI tool be transformed into a storytelling tool that is in harmony with the museum's itinerary and allows for personalization but also respects the museum's own identity and peculiarities? These reflections are part of a research proposal for developing a chatbot to orient visitors within the museum, signaling works of potential interest. Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. No full textIl saggio si inserisce in una ricerca diretta dall’Istituto dei Beni culturali della Regione Emilia Romagna e analizza le trasformazioni urbane avvenute nelle ex legazioni pontificie nel primo cinquantennio post unitario, una fase importante per la formazione della disciplina urbanistica in Italia. Si tratta di un lavoro comparativo tra le tre città rivolto a individuare aspetti comuni e differenze nei provvedimenti delle amministrazioni locali e dei privati. Lo studio approfondisce il rapporto fra l’urbanistica e la storia culturale, tra i piani, i servizi a rete e le altre iniziative quali, i nuovi musei, i monumenti e le piazze celebrative dell’Unità d’Italia, gli interventi rivolti alla conservazione urbana. Esso focalizza l’attenzione sugli elementi di continuità e discontinuità con l’urbanistica del periodo precedente. Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Le Legazioni della Romagna e di Ferrara e le loro trasformazioni
No full textIl saggio (di 52.000 battute) intende ripercorrere la storia dei mutamenti politici e sociali delle ex Legazioni di Forlì, Ravenna e Ferrara nel cinquantennio successivo alla ribellione contro l'autorità pontificia, fino alle soglie della Prima guerra mondiale. Ricostruisce quindi in un'unica visione gli importanti eventi che, dal giugno 1859, portarono alla non scontata annessione al Piemonte nel marzo 1860 (in quanto territori ex pontifici, tutti gli occhi delle cancellerie europee erano puntati su queste aree), passando agli anni Sessanta dominati dall'arretratezza socioeconomica così come dal dibattito politico tra moderati e democratici per contribuire a completare l'Unità (tantissimi romagnoli parteciparono alle ultime imprese garibaldine), per poi arrivare al confronto anche aspro tra istituzioni liberali al potere e associazioni popolari repubblicane e socialiste che, dagli anni Settanta e Ottanta, andarono via ingrossando le loro fila, imponendosi spesso come forza più consistente a livello locale. A cavallo del secolo, mentre la nazione viveva la sua prima industrializzazione e si apprestava a celebrare il 50° della sua nascita, le ex Legazioni romagnole e ferrarese vedevano ormai come indiscussi protagonisti i partiti popolari, spesso al potere dei municipi locali, impegnati in uno sforzo di emancipazione e miglioramento delle condizioni di vita delle masse lavoratrici, ma anche sempre più ferocemente divisi. Una frattura drammatica, appena ricomposta dalle proteste contro la guerra di Libia del 1911 e dalla partecipazione alla Settimana rossa, ma poi amplificata dalla Grande guerra, che avrebbe favorito l'avvento della dittatura nel dopoguerra

Get PDFIl saggio traccia un profilo dei processi economico-sociali che contraddistinguono il centro urbano più importante dell'area padana meridionale: il declino delle antiche produzioni protoindustriali del settore tessile (seta, lana, cotone); la valorizzazione del centro storico attraverso significativi interventi urbanistici e investimenti immobiliari all'insegna della modernizzazione ispirata al "decoro" borghese e della organizzazione di un moderno centro direzionale per banche, uffici, assicurazioni; la tenuta, al di là delle trasformazioni politiche, del potere economico-agrario tradizionale, i cui esponenti - l'antica aristocrazie terriera alla quale si affiancano i dinamici grandi affittuari "costruttori di terre" - restano a lungo al governo della città e delle sue scelte strategiche, sia sul terreno delle amministrazioni locali che su quello della gestione del credito. L'affermarsi di un ancora modesto patrimonio industriale, fra gli anni '80 dell'800 e la stagione che precede la prima guerra mondiale, incentrato sulla meccanica legata innanzitutto alla domanda dell'agricoltura locale, sulla piccola industria conserviera e su un moderno canapificio, non dà luogo a un reale processo di industrializzazione e di creazione di una base operaia nel tessuto sociale cittadino. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases.
