Un’Analisi sui Commenti in Inglese nelle Web-Community dei Luxury Brand: Spunti per le Strategie del Marketing del Lusso "Made in Puglia"
Luxury brands are increasingly interested in developing digital marketing strategies that are able to attract new customers and improve brand perceptions. At the same time, however, the online context has become untrusted by luxury brands, due to the potential risk of losing control over brand image because of intense interaction with customers through the Web. In spite of this criticality, only few academic studies have investigated the way consumers interact with luxury brands within online dedicated platforms, such as luxury brands’ web communities. Thus, this research, by focusing on the length of English comments left by consumers in the online brand community of luxury brands, investigates the role of engagement (emotional involvement) and valence of comments (positive or negative). In particular, the analysis of comments left on the Facebook official page of the brand Chanel sheds light on a quite counter-intuitive phenomenon, demonstrating that the length of comments is influenced, at the same time, by both the valence of the comments and the level of engagement of the commenter. Results demonstrate that the effect of the engagement on the length of a comment is moderated by the valence of the comment itself. In particular, the study shows that in a luxury brand online community, a high level of engagement is associated with shorter comments, but only when the valence of the comments is negative. This research has both theoretical and managerial implications. In particular, from a practical point of view, the results may be useful to Made in Puglia luxury companies, since they offer interesting insights to companies from Apulia which need to understand how to better use social media for their branding strategies
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Evidence on Problematic Online Gaming and Social Anxiety over the Past Ten Years: a Systematic Literature Review
Purpose of Review: The present study aimed to review the literature concerning the relationship between problematic online gaming (POG) and social anxiety, taking into account the variables implicated in this relationship. This review included studies published between 2010 and 2020 that were indexed in major databases with the following keywords: Internet gaming, disorder, addiction, problematic, social phobia, and social anxiety. Recent Findings: In recent years, scientific interest in POG has grown dramatically. Within this prolific research field, difficulties associated with social anxiety have been increasingly explored in relation to POG. Indeed, evidence showed that individuals who experience social anxiety are more exposed to the risk of developing an excessive or addictive gaming behavior. Summary: A total of 30 studies satisfied the initial inclusion criteria and were included in the present literature review. Several reviewed studies found a strong association between social anxiety and online gaming disorder. Furthermore, the relationships among social anxiety, POG, age, and psychosocial and comorbid factors were largely explored. Overall, the present review showed that socially anxious individuals might perceive online video games as safer social environments than face-to-face interactions, predisposing individuals to the POG. However, in a mutually reinforcing relationship, individuals with higher POG seem to show higher social anxiety. Therefore, despite online gaming might represent an activity able to alleviate psychopathological symptoms and/or negative emotional states, people might use online gaming to counterbalance distress or negative situations in everyday life, carrying out a maladaptive coping strategy

Design and Parametric Analysis of a Supersonic Turbine for Rotating Detonation Engine Applications
Pressure gain combustion is a promising alternative to conventional gas turbine technologies and within this class the Rotating Detonation Engine has the greatest potential. The Fickett–Jacobs cycle can theoretically increase the efficiency by 15% for medium pressure ratios, but the combustion chamber delivers a strongly non-uniform flow; in these conditions, conventionally designed turbines are inadequate with an efficiency below 30%. In this paper, an original mean-line code was developed to perform an advanced preliminary design of a supersonic turbine; self-starting capability of the supersonic channel has been verified through Kantrowitz and Donaldson theory; the design of the supersonic profile was carried out employing the Method of Characteristics; an accurate evaluation of the aerodynamic losses has been achieved by considering shock waves, profile, and mixing losses. Afterwards, an automated Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) based optimization process was developed to find the optimal loading condition that minimizes losses while delivering a sufficiently uniform flow at outlet. Finally, a novel parametric analysis was performed considering the effect of inlet angle, Mach number, reaction degree, peripheral velocity, and blade height ratio on the turbine stage performance. This analysis has revealed for the first time, in authors knowledge, that this type of machines can achieve efficiencies over 70%
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
