After describing two examples of bauxite in Rumania, the author tentatively defines the conditions of bauxite genesis. Lucca Valeriu. Narrative threads: ethnographic tourism, Romani tourist tales, and fiber art
This thesis examines the need for the ethnographer to process their own emotions and experiences as part of the ethnographic experience. Specifically, it argues for the credibility of artistic expression resulting from fieldwork.
Drawing on the author’s experience during the 2012 inaugural "Romani Music, Culture, and Human Rights" study abroad program at the University of Pittsburgh, this thesis offers an analysis of five works of fiber art. Originally perceived by the author as separate from the thesis writing process, they became an integral part of thesis once they were recognized as the non-verbal processing of the my emotional response to events abroad and, therefore, essential components of the research process.
I argue that emotional processing is an integral part of writing an ethnography, for as the ethnographer works through their experiences, their understanding of the events changes, and this in turn impacts the ways in which the ethnographic is perceived and analyzed
When designing buildings in dense urban areas, the problem of lack of sunlight in living rooms arises, which leads to increased energy costs for artificial lighting. The purpose of this study is to analyze the world experience and innovative solutions in the practice of regulating sunlight. This article study the technical regulations that regulate the insolation time in residential and public buildings in some countries of the world, the European Union, the CIS countries in comparison with the Republic of Moldova. It is proposed to improve the normative framework in this field for the Republic of Moldova
Natural Language Processing (NLP) for Requirements Engineering: A Systematic Mapping Study Dataset
We conducted a systematic mapping study to address and survey the issues of using Natural Language Processing (NLP) in the domain of Requirements Engineering (RE), as a new sub-field of RE research known as NLP4RE studies. The attached datasets represent the references and metadata for the 404 selected and included NLP4RE studies, and a separate document to list all of the unique venues for publishing these studies. Development of the Input-Output Table for Compiling the Social Accounting Matrix
PROHNIȚCHI, Valeriu. Elaborarea tabelului resurse-utilizări pentru compilarea matricei de contabilitate socială = Development of the Input-Output Table for Compiling the Social Accounting Matrix. In: Economica. 2021, nr. 4(118), pp. 134-145. ************************************************************************************************************************************* The Republic of Moldova lacks an updated Input-Output Table (IOT), which is necessary for compiling a Social Accounting Matrix and calibrating a Computable General Equilibrium model. The author’s goal is to estimate by economic, mathematical and statistical methods the IOT for 2019 using a IOT for 2014 as a reference. The author first defines an optimal classification of sectors present in IOT-2019 to ensure comparability with IOT-2014. Subsequently, the author reconciles data from National Accounts Statistics, Balance of Payments and budget execution reports to compile the IOT quadrant 1. For quadrants 2 and 3, the columns for which there are statistical data in the aforementioned sources are first determined, after which the missing parts are compiled formulating and solving a mathematical optimization problem, in which the objective function is minimization of structural differences between IOT-2019 and IOT- 2014. Large Minibatch Training on Supercomputers with Improved Accuracy and Reduced Time to Train
Large Cone Beam CT SCan Image Quality Improvement Using a Deep Learning U-Net Model
Cone beam CT scanners use much less radiation than to normal CT scans. However, compared to normal CT scans the images are noisy, showing several artifacts. The UNet Convolutional Neural Network may provide a way to reconstruct the a CT image from cone beam scans
