Reflections on the History of Cleveland State University: From 1964 to Today
This conversation is part of Cleveland State University\u27s 50th Anniversary Perspectives. The panelists are Regennia N. Williams, Ph.D., the author of the commemorative book Cleveland State University: 50 Years and a professor of History at CSU. William Becker is the University\u27s Archivist. Dr. Williams and Mr. Becker, both CSU alumni who have worked at the University for more than 30 years, reflect on their personal experiences and memories as well as the evolution of CSU since its creation in 1964.
The moderator is John Soeder, the senior writer in University Marketing at CSU and editor of Cleveland State University: 50 Years
OpenCon 2018 Cleveland Kick-Off
The day-long kick-off event will be on Monday, March 5th at Cleveland State University, in the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law Moot Courtroom. Librarians, library staff, instructional designers, and faculty are all welcome to attend this free event!
In honor of Open Education Week and in collaboration with universities across Ohio, Cleveland State University will be facilitating its first OpenCon Cleveland event.. The focus of the event will be the potential and value of open pedagogy efforts in higher education and other educational institutions. The facilitators of this event hope to increase awareness of and enthusiasm for open in the larger Ohio community and to begin establishing a network of open education advocates in the region

Celebrate Octavofest at the Cleveland State University Michael Schwartz Library by creating folded book art. Books destined for recycling can be transformed by folding their pages to create voluminous and intriguing shapes. Examples can be seen in the Octavofest exhibit areas September 30 – October 31. A limited number of books will be available for folding and participants are welcome to bring books to fold

Cleveland State University is a comprehensive, urban university located in downtown Cleveland, Ohio. It was established in 1964 as a state-assisted university to provide public higher education for citizens of greater Cleveland and northeast Ohio.
