After Iraq: Stanley Hoffmann and the Role of the United States in the International System
The article analyzes Stanley Hoffmann's view on US foreign policy in the aftermath of September 11, 2001, and especially on the Bush administration’s decision to invade Iraq in 2003. It is based on his books, including his earlier ones, Gulliver's Troubles, Janus and Minerva, and Duties Beyond Borders, and on the essays he published in the New York Review of Books from 2001 until 2006.
