Creating an Image: Ancient Quotes in Descriptions of the Members of the House of Cilli in Piccolomini’s Historia Austrialis
Celjskega, Ulrika II. Celjskega in Barbare Celjske. Primerjava izvornega konteksta in Piccolominijeve uporabe pokaže, da izvorni kontekst bralcu daje novo dimenzijo razumevanja zapisanega, hkrati pa je Piccolomini z uporabo tipičnih šolskih besedil še dodatno poudaril svoje sporočilo, da so Celjski šolski primer slabih ljudi in plemičev.For the characterisation of the members of the House of Cilli in his Historia Austrialis, Piccolomini used quotations, allusion, paraphrases and other connections to ancient Latin texts. His readers would have recognised them, and the original context would have influenced their understanding of his new work. This article is designed as an overview of allusions to Suetonius, Saint Augustine, Seneca Minor, Terence, senatus consultum ultimum, and Sallust in the descriptions of Frederick II of Cilli, Ulrich II of Cilli, and Barbara of Cilli. A comparison of the original context and Piccolomini’s use shows that the original context gives a new dimension to the understanding of Historia Austrialis. At the same time, Piccolomini uses works from the typical school curriculum to emphasise his message that the members of the House of Cilli were typical villains and corrupt noblemen
Digital skills labour market and productivity (Chapter 4) and Econometric application full version (Annex 2)
While primarily focussed on the social and economic impact of eInclusion, this book analyses the root causes behind processes of digital inclusion or exclusion and derived from it important implications for policy. In order to do so: a) about 300 hundreds theoretical and empirical sources have been reviewed; b)
1000 cases of eInclusion support initiatives were screened and 125 of them analysed in depth11; c) a wide ranging review of the economic literature on the impact of ICT was conducted; d) an econometric model to assess the impact of possessing or lacking digital skills on employability and wage differentials was
designed and run. In addition to this, the Vienna Study also leveraged and analysed the empirical evidence from another project funded by DG Information Society and Media on ICT potential for the economic and social inclusion of immigrants and ethnic minorities (realised by the Join Research Centre of the European Commission Institute of Prospective Technological Studies, IPTS). The sheer breadth and depth of the theoretical and empirical evidence gathered and analysed in this study is unique and makes it a ground breaking contribution to the field

MOLECULAR PATHWAYS IN LOW GRADE B-CELL LYMPHOMA
Low grade B-cell non-Hodgkin's lymphomas (B-NHL) represent a markedly heterogeneous group of lymphoproliferative disorders, including B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia/small lymphocytic lymphoma (B-CCL/SLL), lymphoplasmacytoid lymphoma (LPL), follicular lymphoma (FL), mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue lymphoma (MALTL), and splenic lymphoma with villous lymphocytes (SLVL). The molecular pathogenesis of low grade B-NHL is characterized by distinct genetic pathways which selectively associate with each clinicopathologic category. At diagnosis, B-CLL/SLL frequently display deletions of 13q14 and trisomy 12, whereas evolution to Richter's syndrome associates with disruption of p53. LPL carries t(9;14)(p13;q32) in 40-50% of the cases, leading to the deregulated expression of the PAX-5 gene. FL consistently harbors rearrangements of BCL-2 independent of the cytologic variant. With time, a fraction of FL cases accumulates mutations of p53 and evolves into a high grade B-NHL. Low grade MALTL are characterized by the frequent occurrence of trisomy 3 and, occasionally, by p53 mutations. SLVL carries p53 mutations in a fraction of cases. The identification of distinct genetic categories among low grade B-NHL may help in the therapeutic stratification of these disorders. In addition, genetic lesions of low grade B-NHL have proved to be a useful molecular marker for monitoring minimal residual disease

While we still find relatively few Slovene students and not a single master (professor) at the University of Vienna in the 14th century, the situation was markedly different in the 15th century. Thirteen professors from present-day Slovenia were identified in this century. Of these 13 individuals, nine, also began studying at one of the three higher faculties of theology, jurisprudence and medicine after obtaining their Master of Arts degrees. Two theologians, six lawyers and one physician have been identified. Both theologians achieved academic degrees (Christoph Petschacher von Moräutsch became Cursor biblicus, and Briccius Prepost von Cilli became Doctor of Theology). Of the six jurists, three were able to obtain doctorates in law (Laurence of Obergurk, Thomas Prelogar of Cilli, and Koloman Kellner of Marburg), while three others began studying jurisprudence (Johannes Reutenberger of Nassenfuß, Andreas of Ljubljana, and Andreas Schenk of Windischgrätz). Thomas of Cilli, Andreas Schenk, and Koloman Kellner studied at the famous University of Padua. One master of arts began studying medicine at the University of Vienna, which he continued in Padua and completed with a doctorate at the University of Ferrara (Martin Doliatoris of Ljubljana). Some of the Slovene professors also held the highest ecclesiastical offices. Among them were four canons (Christoph Petschacher, Thomas of Cilli, and Briccius Prepost of Cilli were canons of Vienna, and Laurence of Obergurk was of Brno), with Thomas of Cilli also serving as Bishop of Constance. He was a councillor to Emperor Frederick III. and, as such, decisively shaped the political life of his time. Overall, it can be stated that these Slovene professors had a significant influence on the intellectual, scientific, ecclesiastical and political life of their time. In the paper, the biographies of these 13 professors are traced using University of Vienna archival sources, existing scholarly literature, and the Repertorium Academicum Germanicum (RAG), an online collection of scholars of the Old Kingdom who had achieved at least the degree of Licentiate of Arts at a university. The ranking is arranged chronologically according to the respective professor’s entry in the Rectorate Register of the University of Vienna.
Nekateri slovenski profesorji so zasedali najvišje cerkvene položaje.
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
