Chou Chin-Chen\ue2s object-describing lyrics
The thesis focuses on the object-describing lyrics written by Chou Chin-Chen and investigates the selection of ideas, analysis of images, and artistic characteristics. This thesis is divided into six chapters.
Chapter 1 is divided into two sections. The first section introduces the research motivation, the research methods, and literature review. The second section studies the origin of object-describing lyrics to describe the relationship of objects and literature and to define the concept of object-describing lyrics.
Chapter 2 indicates the formation background of Chou Chin-Chen\ue2s lyrics. The first section discusses the historical origin and litery development of object-describing lyrics in terms of different dynasties: Early Chin dynasty, The Han dynasty, and Wei-Jin Dynasty. In addition, the section further investigates the civil object-describing lyrics in Dunhuang and intellectuals\ue2 object-describing lyrics in early North Song Dynasty. The second section discusses the factors of writing with the respect of the social and cultural background and makes the list of Chou Chin-Chen\ue2s lyrics in order to compare the background influences and literature characteristics.
Chapter 3 analyzes the content of Chou Chin-Chen\ue2s lyrics based on the definition made in the previous sections. The chapter discusses 32 lyrics to analyze the selection of ideas with six categories: season, plants, nature, appearance and time. There are two seasonal lyrics (lantern and Chongjiu festivals), ten plant lyrics (plum flowers, willows, pear, lotus, sweet-scented osmanthus, and apricot), seven nature lyrics (snow, moon, and spring rain). The discussion focuses on the image analysis including prototypes and trends and further investigates the historical backgrounds, content structures, writing skills and historical evaluations.
Chapter 4 studies and compares Chou Chin-Chen\ue2s object-describing lyrics in terms of the artistic characteristics, rhetoric skills, language styles, and content structures.
Chapter 5 describes the comments and influences of Chou Chin-Chen\ue2s object-describing lyrics. Chapter 6 concludes the achievement of Chou Chin-Chen\ue2s object-describing lyrics

ABSTRACT
The research talks about the favor in disposals of texts and graphics of mobile reading. It has two ways to approach the target. One is to find out user’s feels about font size, disposal of texts and graphics, and different reading interface. Another is based on differences of user’s background to find out the diversity. It also observes user’s different recognitions.
Aftter investigating:
1. The most people feel satisfied with font size 18.
2. The most people feel satisfied with “graphics followed by text”.
3. The most people feel satisfied with paper reading.
4. There is no difference of recognition in sexual.
5. In ages of texts flowed around the right side of the graphic, there is different recognition.
6. There is no difference of recognition in education.
7. In experience of font size 20 and paper reading, there is different recognition.

Arista only very slightly expanded apically (“Fig. 14” in Cheng et al. 2008); all postgonites strongly sclerotized, apically more or less pointed; posterior postgonite on only one lateral lobe of aedeagal sheath; lateral lobes submedially separated from each other; one lateral lobe of aedeagal sheath with 2 relatively close anterior postgonites (“Fig. 17” in Cheng et al. 2008). Supplementary description (not repeating characters common to P. foliiseta). Supracervical setae 12–14. Dorsomedial, tentorial apodeme 1/2 as long as basal, parallel portion of dorsolateral, tentorial apodeme. Longest, dorsal branch of arista shorter than longest seta on pedicel. Cibarial, medial sensilla 9–10 per side; posterior sensilla 4–6 per side. All tarsi with gray tarsomere V. The antisymmetry is observed in the postgonites: in A-type, the left lateral lobe bears 2 anterior postgonites, and the right lobe 1 posterior and 1 anterior postgonites (“Fig. 17” in Cheng et al. 2008); but in B-type, vice versa. A Play: Chen Zi-Gao, the Male Queen
This is a play adapted from the original play: “The Male Queen,” written by Wang Chi-Te in Ming dynasty. This is a whole new adaptation integrated with contemporary gender concepts and also referring to related historical documents and novels.he plot of the play is as follows: a general, Chen Chien, meets an extremely beautiful young soldier, Chen Zi-Gao on the battlefield. Chen Chien admires Chen Zi-Gao wholeheartedly, so he bestows him a treasured sword and takes him as his personal bodyguard, who also has to serve him at night. After the war, they return home in triumph. Chen Zi-Gao is accommodated in the western chamber and lives with Chen Chien’s wife, Shen Miao-Jung. Chen Chien’s sister, Chen Yu-Hua, meets Chen Zi-Gao incidentally and mistakes him for her fiance. After realizing the truth, she still falls in love with him. So she starts to see Chen Zi-Gao in the western chamber during the night. They have a secret affair. Then the brother and sister, Chen Chien and Chen Yu-Hua share the same beauty Chen Zi-Gao. Chen Zi-Gao falls in love with a male and a female at the same time. Then Chen Chien finally finds out the fact that his sister is having an affair with his beloved bodyguard. He wants Chen Zi-Gao to make a decision. Chen Zi-Gao is given a promise that if Chen Chien becomes King, he will be crowned the male queen. Chen Zi-Gao chooses Chen Chien. Chen Yu-Hua then dies of disappointment and depression.he play tries to present Chen Zi-Gao’s unique character in the combination of his yin and yang characteristics, which provides an authenticity for his homosexual relationship with Chen Chien. Chen Yu-Hua’s active pursue of passion and love makes a contrast between homosexual and heterosexual relationships. In such contrast, combined with power and gender struggle, the unique emotional and dramatic conflict is revealed. In addition to the traditional romance between a gifted young man and a beauty, this play hopes to discover a new relationship and affection through the interpretation and integration of contemporary gender concepts. his thesis will include the play and the author’s reflection on the play to show the beginning and subsequent developments of the making of this play, including the analysis of the original play “The Male Queen.”

Increased flow resistance and decreased flow rate in patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome: The role of autonomic nervous modulation
Background: The aim of this study was to investigate the flow resistance and flow rate in patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) in the surgical intensive care unit and their relation with autonomic nervous modulation. ;Methods: Postoperative patients of lung or esophageal cancer surgery without ARDS were included as the control group (n = 11). Patients who developed ARDS after lung or esophageal cancer surgery were included as the ARDS group (n = 21). The ARDS patients were further divided into survivor and nonsurvivor subgroups according to their outcomes. All patients required intubation and mechanical ventilation. ;Results: The flow rate was significantly decreased, while the flow resistance was significantly increased, in ARDS patierits. The flow rate correlated significantly and negatively with positive end-expiratory pressure (PEEP), while the flow resistance correlated significantly and positively with PEEP in ARDS patients. Furthermore, the flow rate correlated significantly and negatively with the tidal volume-corrected normalized high frequency power but correlated significantly and positively with the tidal volume-corrected low-/high-frequency power ratio. In contrast, the flow resistance correlated significantly and negatively with normalized very low-frequency power and tidal volume-corrected low-/high-frequency power ratio, but correlated significantly and positively with tidal volume-corrected normalized high-frequency power. ;Conclusion: The flow rate is decreased and the flow resistance increased in patients with ARDS. PEEP is one of the causes of increased flow resistance and decreased flow rate in patients with ARDS. Another cause of decreased flow rate and increased flow resistance in ARDS patients is the increased vagal activity and decreased sympathetic activity. The monitoring of flow rate and flow resistance during mechanical ventilation might be useful for the proper management of ARDS patients.
