Testing CP-violation in a Heavy Higgs Sector at CLIC
We propose a novel method to test CP-violation in the heavy (pseudo)scalar sector of an extended Higgs model, in which we make simultaneous use of the () and interactions of a heavy Higgs state . This is possible at the Compact Linear Collider (CLIC) by exploiting production from Vector-Boson Fusion (VBF) and decay to pairs. We analyze the distribution of the azimuthal angle between the leptons coming from top and antitop quarks, that would allow one to disentangle the CP nature of such a heavy Higgs state. We also show its implications for the 2-Higgs-Doublet Model (2HDM) with CP-violation
Kingman area transportation study update : final report
abstract: ADOT, in cooperation with the City of Kingman and Mohave County, initiated the Kingman Area Transportation Study Update to update the 2005 Kingman Area Transportation Study. The study provides a plan of improvements for 5-year (short-range), 10-year (mid-range), and 20-year (long-range) transportation planning horizons. The recommendations are multimodal, considering roadways, nonmotorized transportation modes (bicycles and pedestrians), and transit components
Performance audit, Kingman Unified School District
abstract: In fiscal year 2011, Kingman Unified School District’s student achievement was similar to peer district averages, and it operated efficiently with lower costs than peer districts’, on average. The District operated its administration with lower per pupil costs because it employed fewer administrative staff per pupil than peer districts, on average. In addition, the District’s plant operations cost per square foot and food service cost per meal were lower than peer districts’ averages. The District’s transportation program cost per pupil was higher than the peer districts’ average, but the program was efficient, with lower per mile costs. However, the District should improve some of its administrative practices. In particular, the District should strengthen controls over its cash handling, culinary arts program, and computer network and systems.Report (Arizona. Office of the Auditor General) ; 2013-0
Painting the indigenous nation as a modernist strategy in the work of Eduardo Kingman
This study centers its analysis in the pictorial work of Eduardo Kingman as a model to describe the approaches, tendencies and ideologies which characterized Indigenismo. This artistic current brought painters, writers and Ecuadorian intellectuals together during the 1930s. The article proposes that this current emerged as a reaction to the predominance of academicism in the circles and schools of art. The study reviews the exhibits, biennials and contests in which Kingman participated. It analyzes the artistic and literary influences reflected in the work of the author, his relationships with the Guayaquil Group and his links with the Union of Writers and Artists of Ecuador. Finally, it brings together the opinions and reactions of writers, intellectuals and the general press to his pictorial production
Higgs boson decays into single photon plus unparticle
The decay of the standard model Higgs boson into a single photon and a vector unparticle through a one-loop process is studied. For an intermediate-mass Higgs boson, this single photon plus unparticle mode can have a branching ratio comparable with the two-photon discovery mode. The emitted photon has a continuous energy spectrum encoding the nature of the recoil unparticle. It can be measured in precision studies of the Higgs boson after its discovery.http://gateway.webofknowledge.com/gateway/Gateway.cgi?GWVersion=2&SrcApp=PARTNER_APP&SrcAuth=LinksAMR&KeyUT=WOS:000256297000092&DestLinkType=FullRecord&DestApp=ALL_WOS&UsrCustomerID=8e1609b174ce4e31116a60747a720701Astronomy & AstrophysicsPhysics, Particles & FieldsSCI(E)8ARTICLE9null7

Daedalus, Dedalus, and Joyce
James Kingman granted permission for the digitization of his paper. It was submitted by CD.Stephen Dedalus, James Joyce's characterization of himself in A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man (1914-15), is often interpreted as a young man who sets out with great artistic ambition but meets with utter failure. The image of Icarus, hubristically flying too close to the sun and drowning as a result, is often used to characterize the aspiring artist. However, the story of Daedalus and hisson Icarus is a complicated myth rather than a morality fable. The imagery of the myth also includes the labyrinth, the Minotaur, Ariadne's thread, and othe relements that are used subtly by Joyce to relate the story of Stephen's rejection of religion, nationality, and family. Joyce, an author with an encyclopedic grasp of literature, philosophy, history, and art, appropriately structures Stephen's development in a myth centered on the world's first exiled artist. Though it may seem paradoxical that an author consciously rejecting reliance on outworn ideas of the past would use myth—the oldest surviving literary influence—to scaffold his novel, a careful consideration of the entire myth in relation to Joyce's writings reconciles the apparent contradiction. Through an investigation of these themes, this essay deepens our understanding of the relationship between creator and creation. This honors paper was approved by Dr. Brian W.
