    Effect of Soil Temperature on Radish Yellow Pathogen

    蘿蔔黃葉病的發生程度,深受環境因子中溫度的影響。根據試驗結果顯示,黃葉病在25±3℃時發生浪爲嚴重,而較高或較低的溫度皆會使病害降低。經進一步探討溫度對病原菌的影響,發現溫度愈低,病原菌的成活率愈高;在24-28℃最適於病原菌的生長。測定胞子發芽結果,雖在水瓊脂(water agar)上,胞子及厚膜胞子最適溫略有差異(前者28℃,後者24℃),但發芽管長度均以28℃最爲適合;土壤厚膜胞子之測定結果亦以28℃爲較適合發芽之溫度。 Disease incidence of radish yellows caused by Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. raphani Kend et Snyder. , was influenced by change of temperature. In our experiments, we found that the optimum temperature for disease development was 25±3℃, and the disease severity was significantly decreased by lower or higher of temperature. The pathogens grow on Czapek's agar at 8-36℃, with optimum at 20-28℃. It was found that survival of the pathogen in soil gave longer period in lower temperature than higher temperature. The optimum temperature (28℃) for germination of conidia and chlamydospore was hardly any different in soil or on water agar, except 24℃ was better for germination of chlamydospore on agar, but 28℃ still was best for germ tube development

    Alternaria dianthi Stev. & Hall引起的康乃馨葉斑病,是本省康乃馨栽培上主要的葉部病害之一。露天栽培的康乃馨葉葉斑病發生較簡易防雨設施者為嚴重。不同康乃馨品種在田間發生葉斑病之程度存在明顯的差異,其中以紅花品種較為抗病。溫室檢定50個康乃馨品種對葉斑病菌之抗感性,僅有8個品種抗病性較高,其餘均為感病或高感病品種。將抗病品種與感病品種採單株或單行混植,則有促使抗病品種產生病害的趨勢。溫室藥劑測試選出75%四氯異苯腈(Chlorothalonil)可濕性粉劑400倍及24.9%待克利(Difenoconazole)乳劑1,000倍兩種藥劑進行田間防治試驗,結果顯示,發病前或發病初期施用此兩種藥劑均可有效防治葉斑病的發生,其中尤以待克利效果最佳,並有顯著提高切花品質與產量的效果。Alternaria leaf spot caused by Alternaria dianthi Stev. & Hall was the most serious air-borne disease on carnation (Dianthus caryophllus L.) in Taiwan. Carnation plants infected by the pathogen were much more severe under field conditions than under rain-proof structures. Cultivars of commercial carnation showed variable susceptibility to this disease in the field. Cultivars with red-color-flower were more resistant than others. Of 50 cultivars tested against the pathogen in the greenhouse, eight were recongnized as resistant ones, However disease severity of resistant cultivar could be increased significantly when the resistant and susceptible cultivars were planted as “row by row” or “plant by plant” pattern, Spraying with 75% Chlorothalonil W.P. 400 X or 24.9% Difenoconazol E.C. 1000 X before or immediately after disease occurrence was effective to control the disease in the fields and consequently resulted in significant improvement of carnation quality

    如何減少化學農藥的使用, 並尋得一無毒性或低污染之化學藥劑替代物,已成為跨世紀各主要開發國家所重視與研發的重點政策。其中生物防治(生物性藥劑使用)策略即為重點項目之一。在應用作物病原拮抗微生物中,除植物生長促進之根圈細菌外;木黴菌屬( Trichodermab spp.)為其中最常被使用的有益微生物之一;目前各國無不積極加以開發利用。有關生物性農業藥劑種類主要應包括生物性殺菌劑、生物性殺蟲劑、生物性殺草劑及生物性殺線蟲劑等。一般而言,生物性農業藥劑的研發, 雖因生物種類不同而有差異,但基本研發流程則大同小 異。主要研發步驟約可分成三部分,即(一)依防治標的物而篩選出具防病、防害蟲或殺草能力之微生物菌株,(二)大量培養與製劑之開發,及(三)傳輸體系如施用方法及範圍及使用時機等之了解。至於產品開發則需進一步達成毒理試驗與註冊登記,才能正式將之商品化。 Biological control will be an alternative strategy for the control of plant pests given the history of pesticides on developed country in the twenty one century because biopesticides are thought as the natural organisms that are less toxic and pollution than chemical pesticides for the globe ecology. For disease management, Trichoderma spp was usually applied as an important role among biocontrol agents of plant diseases. So far, the biopesticides may mainly include biofungicides, bioinsectcides, and bioherbcides. Generally, the basic requirements of a successful system of biological control of plant pests are (a) an effective biocontrol agent, (b) production and formulation methods that give rise to high yields of biomass consisting of appropriate efficacious propagules of high viability and stability, and (c) delivery systems that provide a conducive milieu and minimize growth of competitive microflora. In addition, the processes of the biopesticides for commercially available still need to complete the field tests, and to pass toxicity tests, and registration by Environmental Protection Agency and Council of Agriculture of Taiwan

Based on the interview with the author, they were written in the 1980s. Red, green, and black ink are used in the manuscripts. The red and green ink are used to highlight key words and phrases. There are frequent insertions of Arabic phrases, which include quranic quotations and opening and closing formulae. The manuscripts contain several poems written by Serigne Mouhammadou Masokhna Lo, including a biographical eulogy of Serigne Mor Mbaye Cisse, a renowned Murid scholar and educator who lived and taught in Diourbel; and criticisms of social problems such as lack of discipline and good behavior, disorderly conduct, adultery, the negative consequences of alcoholism among men, women, young and old, and among leaders and their followers. The materials also include historical accounts of the five year long construction of the mosque of Diourbel (Jumaay Ndiaareem) using chronograms; the discussion between Serigne Modou Moustapha (who led the effort) and the French engineer responsible for the construction on the equipment needed; the construction of the railway between Diourbel and Touba; the personal qualities of Serigne Bassirou Mbacke; a tribute to Cheikh Ahmadou Bamba and to Serigne Mbacke Madina; the motivation of 28 kaamil (copies of the Qur'an) written by Serigne Fallou Mbacke for his father and spiritual guide Cheikh Ahmadou Bamba; and a tribute to Serigne Bousso, among others. The materials also contain a poem on coffee and its benefits. Digitized on 17 July 2011. According to the author, the documents were written in the 1980s. Some images are difficult to read due to the poor condition of both the originals, which have ink stains, and the writing (especially those entirely written with black inks).     篩選可促進瓜類生長之木黴菌

    Several strains of Trichoderma spp. isolated from rhizosphere soils and rhizoplane of agricultural crops in Taiwan were selected to detect the root growth of bitter gourd, loofah, and cucumber. Some strains of tested species of Trichoderma in this study promoted the root growth of these cucurbitaceous crops as compared with untreated plants. Tests in greenhouse showed the strains of the Trichoderma species significantly increased of 26 to 61% in seedling height, 85-209% in root exploration, 27 to 38% in leaf area, and 38 to 62% in root dry weight for 15 days after sowing seeds of bitter gourd. Similarly, These Trichoderma strains also increased seedling growth of loofah and cucumber. In a test of chlorophyll concentration, the results indicated that the concentration of chlorophyll (mg/cm2 of leaves) was significantly increased in the plants treated with Trichoderma. Based on regression tests, there was no relationship between percentage of root colonization of Trichoderma and enhanced plant growth. 由台灣各地區之作物根圈與根圈土壤分離出來的木黴菌菌株,經直接針對胡瓜種子發芽與根系生長所作的測試;顯示約有2.8%的木黴菌菌株可促進胡瓜主根生長與增加側根之數量。這些有益木黴菌菌株經與土壤混合至106 cfu/g soil後,於溫室中作接種試驗,發現多株Trichoderma harzianum及T. virens等中要種類菌株,除可增加苦瓜、絲瓜及胡瓜根系分佈外;植株高度、葉面積及根乾重量亦有提高之現象。另外測試瓜葉片之葉綠素亦發現有木黴菌處理者其濃度較無處理者有顯著性提高;然測試根圈纏繞能力與促進瓜類生長關係則無顯著之相關性

    S-H混合物防治胡瓜猝倒及根腐病

    S-H mixture used as soil amendment at the rates of 0.5 to 2% (w/w) greatly or completely inhibited damping off and root rot of cucumber caused by Pythium aphanidermatum under the greenhouse and field conditions. Among the various combinations of the components of S-H mixture tested in laboratory, urea was the main factor for the inhibition of oospore survival and mycelial growth of the pathogen. Siliceous slag had some additive effect. Urea alone was almost as effective as S-H mixture in reducing the pathogen population and suppressing the disease, but the gained suppressiveness was lost after 25 days of incubation. Soil amended with urea plus siliceous slag remained suppressive at least for 28 days, the longest incubation period conducted in this study. 在溫室及田間的條件下,使用0.5~2%(w/w)的S-H混合物為土壤添加物,能夠大量或完全抑制由Pythium aphannidematum引起的胡瓜猝倒及根腐病。在實驗室測試S-H混合物各種成分之抑制效果,發現尿素是抑制病原菌卵孢子存活及菌絲生長之主要物質,而矽酸爐渣則有附加作用。單獨使用尿素和使用S-H混合物之效果相同,但只能維持25天,而將尿素和矽酸爐渣混合使用,其效果則至少可維持28天
