No full textEste artigo busca tensionar as concepções de autor a partir das reflexões de Michel Foucault (1926-1984) e Roger Chartier (1945-). Para tanto, apresenta o que denominamos de o problema da autoria, explorando as variadas faces do autor em perspectiva histórica e na atualidade. A partir disso, seguimos pelos principais conceitos de Michel Foucault, para quem a noção de autor ocupa papel central na individualização presente na história do conhecimento, uma vez que o retorno à genealogia de qualquer conceito, gênero literário ou filosofia sobrevaloriza a relação de um sujeito autor e a sua obra. Em seguida, debruçamo-nos sobre o pensamento de Roger Chartier acerca do autor. Cerca de trinta anos após a conferência de Foucault na Sociedade Francesa de Filosofia, Chartier é convidado pela mesma instituição a revisitar o tema do autor. O retorno de Chartier (2012) à questão se justifica, segundo ele mesmo, pela retificação de cronologias apontadas por Foucault (2009) e que sustentam a sua argumentação. Por fim, concluíamos com as possíveis interseções advindas dos dois pensadores. É possível traçar um paralelo daquilo que Chartier (2001) denominou lugar social com os modos de circulação de textos no âmbito sociocultural, constituinte da função-autor proposta por Foucault (2009). Somente por meio de um lugar social, entendido como espaço em que as dinâmicas sociais se revelam a partir de valores dessa mesma sociedade, é que é possível emergir o autor enquanto sujeito de fala. Nesse caso, trata-se de uma fala valorada simbolicamente a partir dos mesmos valores socialmente circulantes.This article seeks to tension the author\u27s conceptions based on the reflections of Michel Foucault (1926-1984) and Roger Chartier (1945-). Therefore, it presents what we call the authorship problem, exploring the various faces of the author in a historical perspective and in the present time. From this, we follow the main concepts of Michel Foucault, for whom the notion of author plays a central role in the individualization present in the history of knowledge, since the return to the genealogy of any concept, literary genre or philosophy overvalues the relationship of a subject author and his work. Then, we look at Roger Chartier\u27s thinking about the author. About thirty years after Foucault\u27s lecture at the French Philosophy Society, Chartier is invited by the same institution to revisit the author\u27s theme. Chartier\u27s (2012) return to the question is justified, according to himself, by the rectification of chronologies pointed out by Foucault (2009) and which support his argument. Finally, we conclude with the possible intersections arising from the two thinkers. It is possible to draw a parallel of what Chartier (2001) called social place with the modes of circulation of texts in the sociocultural sphere, which constitutes the author-function proposed by Foucault (2009). Only through a social place, understood as a space in which social dynamics are revealed from the values of that same society, is it possible to emerge the author as a subject of speech. In this case, it is a speech symbolically valued from the same socially circulating values
