Synthesis Report for Charette
In order to (1) provide a forum to allow participants to get to know each other and each other’s research activities, and (2) to elicit a broad spectrum of insights that will be used by the Research Coordination Network (RCN) steering committee to formulate a draft 5-year strategic plan for the organization, the Charette was held at the Southwest Research Institute, San Antonio, Texas, on May 23-25, 2012

Digital Initiatives in Archival Preservation
For digital archives, the innovative use of information technology will enable archival information to be accessed anywhere anytime by anyone who needs them. This is the ultimate objective of archival preservation---to preserve materials of enduring value for the sake of posterity. However, the need to integrate technology and content is evidently significant. Funding assistance and the commitment of archivists and information professionals in such digital initiatives are critical to its success

Oceanography, 35(2), (2022): 13, https://doi.org/10.5670/oceanog.2022.105.The transport of elements from terrestrial sources to the open ocean is particularly important in the Arctic, where continental shelves comprise half the ocean area (Jakobsson, 2002) and over 10% of the world’s river water is discharged (McClelland et al., 2012). Climate change is further increasing land-ocean exchange by thawing permafrost, increasing river discharge, and enhancing coastal erosion (Günther et al., 2013; Moon et al., 2021)
