E-government: percepções de confiança e privacidade na intenção de uso das redes sociais
No full textObjetivo. Este estudo visa investigar se as percepções de confiança e de privacidade são
antecedentes da intenção de utilização das redes sociais como ferramentas de e-government.
Assim, o referencial teórico explora os conceitos de governo eletrônico, redes sociais, confiança
e privacidade, buscando abordar o contexto brasileiro. Metodologia. Desenvolveu-se um modelo a partir da integração da literatura sobre confiança e privacidade com o Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) no contexto do uso das redes sociais como plataforma tecnológica para serviços de governo eletrônico. Um questionário eletrônico foi distribuído através das plataformas WhatsApp e Instagram. A análise dos dados foi realizada pelo software estatístico SmartPLS utilizando-se a modelagem de equações estruturais (MEE) para confirmar as hipóteses.
Resultados. O estudo revelou que a confiança tem relação positiva com a percepção de utilidade, facilidade de uso percebida e intenção de uso das redes sociais como ferramenta de e-government. Das nove hipóteses do modelo ajustado, cinco apresentaram correlação positiva a um nível de significância estatística de 5%. Limitações. Considerou-se o conhecimento prévio dos respondentes quanto à possibilidade de
uso de uma plataforma de rede social como instrumento para obtenção de políticas públicas,
assim como a restrição em se avaliar apenas as variantes confiança e privacidade. O estudo foi
restritivamente quantitativo, não abordando perspectivas governamentais e não considerando o
mapeamento geográfico dos respondentes.
Aplicabilidade. Visto que uma sociedade moderna demanda soluções modernas, este estudo
busca auxiliar no desenvolvimento, aprimoramento ou alteração da forma como o governo se
relaciona com o cidadão e cumpre seu papel provedor de políticas e serviços públicos.
Originalidade. A possibilidade de utilização das redes sociais como efetivo instrumento de
governo eletrônico, e não apenas um feed de informações, ainda não alcançou discussão ampla
acerca de sua existência e viabilidade, especialmente no campo prático e social. Portanto, esta pesquisa busca expor a temática sob a potencial adoção dos usuários, provendo, além de revisão de literatura, estudo empírico acerca de potenciais variáveis que possam influenciar o uso em diversos segmentos, níveis de governo e organizações.Purpose. This study aims to investigate the perceptions of trust and privacy as antecedents of social media intention of usage for e-government services. Thus, the theoretical framework explores the concept of e-government, social media, trust, and privacy within the Brazilian
context. Methodology. A model has been developed by integrating previous the concepts of trust and
privacy from literature within the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) in an attempt to use social media as a technology platform for e-government services. An online survey was carried out and data were collected through WhatsApp and Instagram. The analysis was performed by
the SmartPLS software with partial least squares structural equation modeling (SEM-PLS) to support the hypotheses.
Findings. The study indicated that trust has a positive relation with the perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use and intention to participate in social media for e-government services. Out of the 9 hypotheses, 5 of them presented a positive correlation with a significance level of
5%. Research limitations. The previous knowledge of the respondents about the possibility of social media use for e-government services was considered. Also, the restriction in evaluating only the perceived trust and privacy as constructors. This study has a restricted quantitative
approach. The government’s perspective was not addressed and the geographic mapping of the
respondents was not conducted. Implications. Since a modern society demands modern solutions, this study seeks to assist the development, improvement, and change of the way government relates to its citizens fulfilling
the role as public services and policies provider.
Originality. The possibility of using social media as an effective instrument of e-government and not just as an information feed has not yet achieved a large discussion, especially in the practical and social field. Therefore, this study seeks to expose it through the user view in the
way that it can influence the use in different government levels, segments, and organization
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
