Evaluation of the coordinative aspects attached to the foundations of the football of the young player
The scientific literature of reference for youth football analyzes the tests dedicated to measuring technical football skills because, unfortunately, it mainly focuses on the result of matches and sports performances as if it were equal to absolute football. Instead in youth football, the result of the game and athletic performance should be replaced by the acquisition of specific technical skills with the ball. For this reason,
there should be a line of research that seeks the tool to measure the skill levels of the technical foundations of football in youth by borrowing the scientific aspects characteristic of the tests already validated and used for educational aspects. The aim of the study is to hypothesize tests derived from the elements of the ABC
movement test (complete title) which provides for adaptability to measure the technical capacity of the technical base. The method is the creation and management of tests related to the coordination aspect through the help of the ABC movement. The results found were useful to understand the importance of the work focused on this topic and above all on the usefulness of these assessment tools
Evaluation of some quantitative aspects in the young soccer players training process during puberty
Into youth soccer, it is very important to carry out evaluation tests, to obtain different data concerning the development of various skills during the growth process.Their tracking could be important for the trainer to reorganize the planning of training session and adapting it to individual athlete.The aim of this study is to collect quantitative data on anthropometric aspects and performance, and eventually re-use them to make changes in the training method.Research is experimental and has to follow the usual parameters for monitoring training courses. Anthropometric data are weight, height and BMI, while performance data include endurance with VO2max calculation (Cooper Test), speed (Three corner run) and agility (speed dribbling test). Tests were performed on a sample of 13 athletes of 13 years oldwho attended the under-14 regional championship.The data of the group under examination were compared with the absolute reference data of the functional evaluation present in the literature. BMI data shows that 6 arenormal weight, 4 in overweight and 3 overweight. Cooper test data shows that 2 are above-average, 5 on average, 5 below average and 1 low. Average speed of the triangle test is 32.38 seconds while the average of dibbling test is 25.39 seconds. Data must be useful as a tool for planning the training session

Analyzing the Perception of the Impact of Sports Practice on Students in School Settings
Objectives. The importance of physical activity is often underestimated, particularly by students, although there is some scientific evidence to support this. There is a lack of data on students’ perceptions of sports practice, focusing on the aspect of well-being and the positive benefits of the latter, including in the school environment. The objective is to quantify the impact of sports practice on the well-being of secondary school students in the school setting. Materials and methods. The sample taken consists of 25 students belonging to the first grades of the State Industrial Technical Institute “G. Cardano” in PAVIA. A questionnaire consisting of 16 questions was developed in order to investigate the relationship between well-being and physical activity among the students. Then, the responses to the questionnaire questions were analyzed, applying chi-squared test analysis to understand any significance among the qualitative variables. Results. It was found that for the respondents, the relationship with sports is 16% indifferent, 4% not positive and 80% favorable. A first significant relationship was analyzed, between the amount in terms of frequency of sports activity and the studentsʼ feelings in the classroom while practicing (p = 0.001); and a second significant relationship was found between the amount in terms of frequency of sports activity and the studentsʼ feelings during the exercises (p = 0.003). Conclusions. The main conclusion that can be drawn from this study is that sports activity has a positive impact on students’ school life, influencing their physical and emotional well-being, enhancing a sense of inclusion and empowerment, and increasing motivation to achieve personal goals
A comparative study of university training of sports and physical activity kinesiologist
BackgroundIn Italy, Legislative Decree No. 36/2021 and Ministerial Decree (MD) No. 1649/2023 have redefined the professional landscape of the physical activity and health sectors, emphasizing interdisciplinary and wellness-oriented education. The current disparity in the weighting of formative elements among the biomedical, psycho-pedagogical, and Exercise and Sport Sciences (ESS) fields in the configuration of degree courses in ESS has led to a need for reform. MD No. 1649/2023 offers an opportunity to reform these courses to emphasize interdisciplinary and wellness-oriented objectives, including at least 20 ECTS credits of practical activities in ESS disciplines. However, the impact of practical and laboratory activities on future kinesiologists has never been studied. This study aims to evaluate the impact of physical activity habits on the performance and self-assessment of ESS students.MethodA sample of 56 students enrolled in the Master of Science in Sport Science and Techniques at the University of Salerno was divided into "active" and "inactive" groups based on their physical activity levels, according to WHO guidelines. Both groups underwent anthropometric and functional tests, including the Squat Jump (SJ) and Countermovement Jump (CMJ). Descriptive statistics and t-tests assessed the differences between and within groups.ResultsThe "active" group exhibited significantly higher performance in SJ (15.7% higher) and CMJ (18.5% higher) compared to the "inactive" group. Both groups showed significant improvements in jump height from SJ to CMJ, with the "active" group improving by 11.04% and the 'non-active' group by 7.38%.ConclusionContinuous physical activity enhances functional efficiency, with significant gains in explosive and reactive strength. Practical, evidence-based training is crucial for future kinesiologists to provide specialized services and promote health, underscoring the importance of integrating substantial practical activities in ESS degree courses
The use of enabling tests to provide a qualitative measurement of the sport skill level of small soccer players
Evaluation tests represent a fundamental step in the educational path of working with small football players. The method used is of an experimental type whose aim is to analyse the capacity of children in the execution of three fundamental technical aspects of football: Short and Long Passage, Header shot and Shot on Target from a stationary position and in movement. We want to emphasize the importance of training the technical gesture starting from the little ones. In fact, too much tacticism combined with a continuous search for physicality in every area of the field has produced in the last decade an innumerable series of technically poorly trained players. The tests were performed on a sample of 12 children of 10 years old that play championship under-10. The data shows the score from each child during the execution of the various tests from which the total result was obtained by adding the points awarded for each attempt. The average of the high scores for the various tests was 13 for short pass; 27.3 for long pass; 3.6 for the header shot t; 9.6, and 7.75 respectively for stationary and moving shot on goal. The results can be used at the beginning of the activity and when a new group is available to identify the gaps to work on and then they can be repeated in other and different periods of the season to verify how effective the work done up to that point was
Physical education teaching in Italian primary school: theoretical lines and operational proposals
Background and Study Aim For the new reform to be applied in the best possible way, it is a priority and useful to promote the development of knowledge on the organization and methods of teaching/learning in physical education in primary school. This study aims to search for a new didactic organizational model for physical education in primary school, starting from the theoretical lines, showing the contrasts of the significant aspects and the uniqueness of heuristic learning, with a consequent theoretical and argumentative elaboration of operational proposals.Material and Methods For this purpose, an accurate survey of the scientific literature has been analyzed, highlighting the critical issues that characterized the various proposals and attempt to implement physical activity and sports education courses in primary school over the years, up to the recent legislative innovation.Results The path of the definition of physical education in primary school was marked by stages that did not always enhance the educational and training dimension of the motor and sports experience, making the school discipline assume a marginal and optional role in the face of an extracurricular practice characterized by a widespread organization and more capable of intercepting and responding to the physical exercise and sport needs of society. This complex situation has only generated confusion without solving the problem of the absence of physical and sporting activity in the 5-10 age group, as required by the World Health Organization and the European Union, by adequately and uniquely qualified teachers. It is now useful to promote the development of knowledge on the didactic organization of the primary school, on the different teaching/learning methods in physical education, to contextualize the scope of the new legal provision to the current legal framework.Conclusions The study highlights the value of a new approach in teacher training that aims to ensure the acquisition of key competence, according to the Recommendation of the European Parliament. This perspective can be easily realized by using a core curriculum uniformly applied at the national level
Ecological-Dynamic Approach vs. Traditional Prescriptive Approach in Improving Technical Skills of Young Soccer Players
Background: This study contributes to expanding the existing literature on learning technical skills in youth soccer by comparing the effectiveness of different training approaches in the development of passing skills. The ecological-dynamic approach, which emphasizes the continuous and adaptive interaction between the athlete and the environment, is analyzed in comparison to the traditional prescriptive approach, which relies on predefined techniques and exercises. The aim of the study is to determine which of the two approaches is more effective in improving the performance of young soccer players. Methods: Thirty players (age 12 ± 1.2 years) were randomly assigned to two groups: the ecological-dynamic group (ECG) and a control group (CON). Both groups underwent an eight-week training program with equal sessions. The ECG group's training focused on adjusting constraints like the learning environment, game rules, and visual restrictions to boost adaptability and problem-solving skills. The CON group followed a traditional prescriptive approach with specific instructions, goal setting, immediate feedback, and structured exercise progression. Passing abilities were evaluated before and after the program using the Loughborough Soccer Passing Test, with a retention test administered five weeks later. Descriptive statistics, including mean values and percentage improvements, were used. A repeated measures ANOVA compared differences between the groups. Results: The analysis revealed a significant Occasion × Group interaction for all performance variables, indicating that the ECG group experienced greater improvements than the CON group. Specifically, the ECG group showed significant reductions in Trial Time (p = 0.001, ηp2 = 0.6), Penalty Time (p = 0.016, ηp2 = 0.4), and Overall Performance (p = 0.011, ηp2 = 0.8) from pre-test to post-test. However, these improvements did not persist into the retention test (p = 0.131, p = 0.792, and p = 0.192, respectively). The CON group also improved significantly in Trial Time (p = 0.003), Penalty Time (p = 0.002), and Overall Performance (p = 0.001) from pre-test to post-test, but with smaller effect sizes and no sustained gains at retention. Conclusions: The ecological-dynamic approach (EDG) has proven to be more effective in enhancing passing skills compared to the traditional prescriptive approach (CON). Although both methods led to performance improvements, the EDG group achieved more significant progress
