    No full text
Title: Study of indium doped shape-memory alloy Ni2MnGa Author: Petr Cejpek Department: Department of Condensed Matter Physics Supervisor: RNDr. Milan Dopita, PhD., Department of Condensed Matter Physics Abstract: The alloys related to Ni-Mn-Ga system exhibit effects connected to the magnetic shape-memory and martensitic transformation and therefore attract attention of researchers for their application potential. Properties and especially transformation temperatures are strongly dependent on composition, doping and also on external conditions as a magnetic field or pressure. The main aim of the work was to prepare own single crystals of Ni2MnGa1−xInx and to study their properties with respect to the temperature and applied fields in dependence on a various indium doping. The transformation temperatures obtained from the measurement of electrical resistivity and magnetisation re- vealed the systematic decrease of martensitic transformation temperature TM , pre-martensitic transformation temperature TP and Curie temperature TC. The martensitic transformation should vanish at indium concentration of x ≈ 0.10. The decrease with indium content is much faster than in the study published previously on the polycrystalline samples (vanishing at x ≈ 0.20). This dis- crepancy is probably caused by the residual stress..

Teploty přechodů získané z měření elek- trického odporu a magnetizace ukazují, že teplota martenzitické transformace TM , teplota pre-martenzitické transformace TP a Curieova teplota TC system- aticky klesají s rostoucím obsahem india. Milan Dopita, PhD., Department of Condensed Matter Physics Abstract: The alloys related to Ni-Mn-Ga system exhibit effects connected to the magnetic shape-memory and martensitic transformation and therefore attract attention of researchers for their application potential. Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

New town hall for the district Brno-North

The aim of this diploma thesis is to propose the Town Hall for the city part Brno-sever (Brno-Nord). The Town Hall is placed in a newly designed urban structure, which is located on the territory of today's barracks in Černé Pole. The locality is located in the imaginary geometric center of the city and because of it the site is becoming a convenient location for the Town Hall. The main aim was to create the Town Hall changing during the time, which would respond to the additional larger footprints to the place and would respond to the adding further spaces not only with the function using for the purposes of the Hall. The new Town Hall is designed to enrich the urban space

    Variations on the Author

“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis

Diffusion x-ray reflection from rough multilayers

    No full text
This bachelor work follows with the theory of diffusion x-ray scattering from rough multilayers. In the first chapter we will recap some basic principles - statitistic properties of interfaces, Fresnell coefficients, scattering theory, etc. - this stuff we will use to derive the expressions for specular reflection and diffusion scattering from rough interfaces, which we will consider as the random fractals. We will demonstrate the use of these derived expressions at a measurement on the multilayers coumpounded from and layers and substrate of mineral glass. Fitting of the measured data on the derived expressions will be done with Matlab software. Moreover, we will measure the roughness of interfaces with AFM microscope and we will compare these two measuring metodes. 2SiO 2Zr

The subject of this bachelor thesis is the analysis of technological process of manufacturing of the part called hydraulic cylinder in conditions of company S&K TOOLS spol. s r. o. There is an analysis of the present technological process in the beginning of the thesis. The main goal of this task is to find weak spots of manufacturing, create an improvement proposals and realization of practical experiment in concrete conditions of the company. Last part of the thesis is focused on realization of technical and economical evaluation
