    No full text
In the society in which Mário de Andrade lived, there were various forms of prejudice, and his study offers a perspective for understanding artistic performance. Since the beginning of the 1920s, the São Paulo newspapers A Gazeta and Folha da Noite, and the magazine D. Quixote in Rio de Janeiro produced prejudiced content to ridicule the modernist group. Writers, journalists, and comedians have directed the most aggressive content against Mário de Andrade. They use specific artistic forms such as poetry, prose, and caricature. Different authors have used artistic resources to promote prejudiced speech, however, art is also an element of questioning prejudice. The author considered ideas from Queer Theory and chose visual material to comment on homophobic speech. This essay is based on documentation that is unknown to scholars of modernism and Mário de Andrade. Knowledge of its existence is a condition for overcoming prejudice.Na sociedade em que Mário de Andrade viveu existiram várias formas de preconceito, e seu estudo oferece perspectiva para entender a atuação artística. Dysprosium-containing layered double hydroxides nanoparticles intercalated with biologically active species as an approach for theranostic systems

    No full text
A layered double hydroxide structure including dysprosium cations was prepared by co-precipitation. The nanoparticles showed a linear relationship with the reciprocal relaxation spin-lattice (T1) time of water protons which is reflected as contrast in aqueous suspensions analyzed by magnetic resonance imaging. The interlayer space of dysprosium containing LDH was successfully intercalated with folate, ibuprofen and gallate ions, which are key molecules for recognition of some cancer cells and treatment of diseases. The paramagnetic property of the dysprosium-containing LDH detected in this work beside the ability to transport drugs open up the opportunity to design theranostic materials in a single crystal phase with nanometric dimensions
