Nemoura kontumensis sp. nov. (Fig. 1.) Material examined. Holotype ♂ from Vietnam, Kon Tum Province, surroundings of Kon Plong, m 1200, 4/ 7.V.2016, 14°37, 350’ N; 108°17,651’ E. The holotype, preserved in alcohol 75%, is deposited in the Vietnam National Museum of Nature, Hanoi, Vietnam. Adult habitus. A small light brown Nemoura. Antennae light brown, head uniformly brownish. Pro-, meso- and metanotum uniformly light brown. Abdomen and cerci yellowish. Male (Fig.1). Body length: 5.0 mm. Forewing length 5.0 mm, hindwing length 4.0 mm. Paraproct subtriangular. Cerci very long, bilobed, enlarged at base with a ventral lobe bearing an inwardly curved apical spine, narrow in the middle and large again distally, ending in a curved process duck beak shaped (Fig. 1 a). Epiproct short, wide, apically notched with a pair of strong spines (Fig. 1 b). Posterior margin of tergum 9 bears a pair of rounded, divided, spinulose lobes (Fig.1 c). Female: unknown Larva: unknown Affinities: Nemoura kontumensis is similar to N. neospiniloba described from Thailand, sharing the two lobes on the posterior margin of tergum 9. The new species can be easily distinguished from N. neospiniloba by the divided lobes on abdominal tergum 9, which are fused in N. neospiniloba, and by the different shape of the tergal lobes and the shape of the cerci and epiproct. Two Chinese species, N. furcocauda Wu, 1973 and N. mucronata Li & Yang, 2008 also have lobes on the posterior margin of tergum 9 (Yang et al., 2014). Etymology. Amphinemura konplongensis sp. n. (Fig. 2.) Material examined. Holotype ♂ from Vietnam, Kon Tum Province, surroundings of Kon Plong, m 1200, 4/ 7.V.2016, 14°37, 350’ N; 108°17,651’ E. Pro-, meso-, and metanotum uniformly dark. Abdomen and cerci yellowish. Male (Fig.2). Body length: 5.1 mm. Forewing length 6 mm, hindwing length 4.5 mm. Paraproct with outer lobe margin long, apex spatula-shaped, with strong hair (Fig. 2 a). Cerci as long as the outer paraproct lobe (Fig. 2 b). Epiproct narrow to its middle length, enlarging at the apex, showing dorsally two strong spines directed forward, crampon-like, and ventrally two strong spines directed laterally and backward and a spine directed forward. (Fig. 2 c). Female: unknown Larva: unknown Affinities: Amphinemura konplongensis is similar to A. divergens and to A. ningxiana Li & Yang, 2011 in having the tip of the epiproct bearing two strongly sclerotized processes which diverge; these are however much thinner than in A. divergens and A. ningxiana. Additionally, A. komplongensis has two ventral lateral processes, similarly shaped, that are absent in A. divergens and A. ningxiana. Etymology. Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Indonemoura annamensis Fochetti & Ceci, 2016, sp. n.
Indonemoura annamensis sp. n. (Figs. 1–4) Material examined. Holotype ♂: Vietnam, Tua Thien Hue Province, Bach Ma National Park, surr. Hotel Morin, m 1300 / 1400, 16,2 ° N; 107,85 ° E, 23 / 28.V. 2014. The holotype, preserved 75 % ethanol is deposited in the Vietnam National Museum of Nature, Hanoi, Vietnam. Adult habitus. Forewing length 7.6 mm, hindwing length 6.7 mm. General color dark brown. Head and antennae dark brown; pronotum slightly paler. Legs and palpi uniformly light brown. Abdomen and cerci pale brown. Male. Epiproct long, trifurcate distally; dorsal sclerite basally wide, divided into a pair of heavily sclerotized processes, curved outward subapically, bearing a few strong spines on their tip (Figs. 1, 3); ventral sclerite, basally large, then narrowing to a thin process which is ventrally subtriangular and of plough-like aspect (Fig. 4). Paraprocts long, curved and enlarged subapically, terminating in a point (Figs. 2, 3, 4), bearing a few strong spines at curvature. Outer and mesal paraproct lobes slender, subequal in length and both bent sharply near apex (Fig. 2); inner lobe short and somewhat club shaped. Tergum 9 and 10 without conspicuous sensilla patches. Vesicle of normal length, slightly widened subapically (Fig. 2); hypoproct long, enlarged at ⅓ of its length, tapering towards the slightly rounded apex. Female: Unknown. The single male here described was collected with a few female specimens and with also a single male of an unidentified species. These females cannot be associated with the new species. Affinities: The epiproct of male of I. annamensis is distinctive within the genus, not similar to any other described species. The only Indonemoura species that shares a similar epiproctal dorsal sclerite with heavily sclerotized processes is I. voluta Li & Yang, 2008, a species known from China (Guanxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of southern China). Indonemoura annamensis can be easily distinguished from I. voluta by the ventral epiproctal sclerite, plough-like in I. annamensis, flat in I. voluta, and by the shape of the paraprocts, shorter not ending in a point in I. voluta. Etymology. The species name refers to the Annamese Mountains, a mountain range of eastern Indochina, which extends through Laos, Vietnam, and a small area in northeastern Cambodia, where the Bach Ma National Park is located, the type locality of the new species. Diagnosis. The male of I. annamensis does not possess several small tubercles located adjacent to the epiproct on tergum 10 that are present in five of the regional (Vietnam, Thailand) species (Sivec & Stark, 2010). However, among the other three Vietnamese species only I. angulata shares this character.
