Get PDFEste artigo analisa a construção das masculinidades adolescentes em contextos educacionais a partir do filme As Melhores Coisas do Mundo (2010), de Laís Bodanzky. Com base em aportes dos estudos de gênero, pós-críticos e interseccionais, problematiza como a escola, a família e as pedagogias culturais atuam na regulação e normalização dos corpos e subjetividades juvenis. A narrativa cinematográfica evidencia conflitos vividos por adolescentes diante das normas de gênero, especialmente quando a masculinidade hegemônica é questionada. Por intermédio de uma metodologia fundamentada na análise fílmica, identifica-se que, ao não problematizar corpo, sexualidade, raça, subjetividade e gênero, a escola tende a reproduzir discriminações, hierarquizações e exclusões, reforçando desigualdades. Argumenta-se que os processos de ensino, ao privilegiar práticas biológicas, quantificáveis e comparativas, contribuem para a naturalização das desigualdades. Conclui-se pela necessidade de alternativas pedagógicas que promovam equidade de gênero, respeito às diferenças e valorização das subjetividades, destacando o cinema como recurso formativo potente
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Variations on the Author
Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. No full textA Educação Física como disciplina presente no currículo escolar do ensino médio tem no corpo em movimento o seu principal foco de estudo. Como as outras disciplinas, atua também no processo de formação de estudantes, introjetando determinados valores e regras que orientarão os seus comportamentos e suas relações com o mundo e a sociedade, promovendo uma socialização que muitas vezes sobrepõe autonomia e controle social de acordo com rotinas culturalmente estabelecidas. Desse modo, partimos do pressuposto que os corpos discentes podem ser considerados como um documento vivo, que pode ser lido e interpretado como um texto, já que traz as marcas dos valores sociais do passado e do presente, expressando desigualdades de gênero e apontando o seu caráter socialmente construído. Este estudo partiu da indagação de como o ensino da Educação Física na escola de nível médio reproduz ou ameniza as assimetrias e expressa uma construção dos corpos pelo viés de questões de gênero. O objetivo geral foi compreender como se expressam, mediatizados por cenas de cinema, os aspectos constitutivos das identidades sociais e da construção social dos corpos na perspectiva das relações de gênero em aulas de Educação Física em uma escola pública do ensino médio Como parte deste objetivo, buscamos descrever como docentes e discentes atuam no ensino e contribuir para o aprimoramento das propostas de ensino na Educação Física com base nos referenciais teórico-metodológicos adotados na pesquisa referentes ao respeito às diferenças e à coeducação entre os gêneros por uma perspectiva intercultural. Adotamos uma metodologia com abordagem antropológica que visa à interpretação dos fenômenos socioculturais e à atribuição de fenômenos sociais e significados culturais em contextos específicos. De modo convergente a esta perspectiva, o uso do cinema almejou promover um olhar de empatia relacionado aos temas da pesquisa na relação com o outro. Foi desenvolvida revisão bibliográfica que incluiu levantamento de questões acerca da abordagem de identidade e gênero na produção na área de Educação Física, análise de filmes (Tomboy, Billy Elliot e As melhores coisas do mundo) e trabalho de campo onde foram realizadas entrevistas em grupo e observação das interações no contexto de aulas. As entrevistas em grupo foram realizadas com o uso de cenas de dois filmes (Billy Elliot e Tomboy) com dois docentes de Educação Física e seis discentes envolvidos no processo de ensino de nível médio de uma escola estadual no estado do Rio de Janeiro Nas interações no trabalho de campo, observamos a contribuição das aulas na modelação do corpo normalizado e naturalizado a partir de modelos identitários fixos não problematizados, o que pode reforçar subjetivamente uma expectativa socialmente aceita. Identificamos nas práticas escolares classificações e hierarquizações entre sujeitos em estruturas binárias como \201Cnós\201D e os \201Coutros\201D: normal/anormal, homem/mulher, homossexual/heterossexual, entre outras. Ao mesmo tempo, encontramos questionamentos sobre relações de poder, problematizando esses binarismos produzidos na construção da identidade e da diferença. Buscamos com esta pesquisa contribuir para gerar mudanças nas relações de poder no processo de ensino, na adequação metodológica e didática, na seleção de conteúdos escolares e na consequente construção do espaço de xvi ensino; tudo isso, visando a uma educação mais equitativa, crítica, que respeita e estimula as diferenças.Physical education as a discipline presents the high school curriculum and not the movement in its main focus of study. The general objective was to understand how the constitutive aspects of social identities and the social construction of bodies from the perspective of gender relations in physical education classes in a public high school are expressed, mediated by film scenes. As part of this objective, we seek to describe how teachers and students act in teaching and contribute to the improvement of teaching proposals in Physical Education based on the theoretical-methodological frameworks adopted in research related to respect for differences and coeducation between genders by intercultural perspective. We adopt a methodology with an anthropological approach that aims at the interpretation of sociocultural phenomena and the attribution of social phenomena and cultural meanings in specific contexts. In a way that converges with this perspective, the use of cinema aimed to promote a look of empathy related to research themes in relation to the other. A literature review was developed which included raising questions about the approach to identity and gender in Physical Education production, film analysis (Tomboy, Billy Elliot and As melhores coisas do mundo) and fieldwork where group interviews were conducted and observation of interactions in the context of classes. Group interviews were conducted using scenes from two films (Billy Elliot and Tomboy) with two Physical Education teachers and six students involved in the high school teaching process of a state school in the state of Rio de Janeiro. In the fieldwork interactions, we observed the contribution of the classes in the modeling of the normalized and naturalized body from nonproblematized fixed identity models, which may subjectively reinforce a socially accepted expectation. We identified in school practices classifications and hierarchies between subjects in binary structures such as “we” and “others”: normal / abnormal, male / female, homosexual / heterosexual, among others. At the same time, we find questions about power relations, problematizing these binarisms produced in the construction of identity and difference. We seek with this research to contribute to generate changes in power relations in the teaching process, the methodological and didactic adequacy, the selection of school contents and the consequent construction of the teaching space; all of this, aiming at a more equitable, critical education that respects and encourages differences

No full textWe have done our best to complete the author checklist relating to the use of animals in the hut study. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
