No full textLa información de esta miniguía se basa en el Cedulario de salas del Alcázar y en los trabajos: Chapultepec, Museo Nacional de Historia; Chapultepec, su leyenda y su historia de Rubén M. Campos; Historia de un Castillo de Martine Chomel y en la Guía oficial del Museo Nacional de Historia de Rosalino Martínez Chiñas.El edificio construido por el virrey Bernardo de Gálvezen 1785 fue conocido como el Palacio de Chapultepec; en 1803, al visitar nuestro país, Alexander von Humboldt se refirió a él como el Castillo de Chapultepec, nombre con el cual desde entonces se le identifica. Aunque los términos alcázar y castillo significan lo mismo, sólo un área del edificio se conoce con el primer nombre. Durante el gobierno del general Miguel Miramón (1859-1860) se le agregó al alcázar un segundo piso y se realizaron diversas modificaciones. En la etapa del gobierno de Maximiliano de Habsburgo, el castillo en su conjunto fue objeto de distintas modificaciones arquitectónicas; en el alcázar, por ejemplo, se construyeron el jardín y los corredores. Fue hasta 1882, en la gestión presidencial de Manuel González, cuando se hizo la distribución de espacios para la residencia, la cual ocuparía Porfirio Díaz a partir de 1884.</p

No full textAlonso de Castillo Solórzano includes in his Sagrario de Valencia a compendium of seven stories of saints and blessed related to Valencia, including the brother Tomás de Villanueva. He confesses to have used the text written by Miguel Bartolomé Salón as a source, but nothing says about the Epítome a la vida of this Augustinian friar, written by Quevedo, which Solórzano is imitating in fact. The object of this article is to analyse this particular circumstance and the different ways of the rewriting of Castillo SolórzanoAlonso de Castillo Solórzano recoge en su Sagrario de Valencia un compedio de siete vidas de santos o beatos vinculados con esta ciudad, entre los que se encuentra fray Tomás de Villanueva. Poisoning attacks on algorithmic fairness
No full textComunicació presentada al ECML PKDD 2020: Machine Learning and Knowledge Discovery in Databases, celebrat del 14 al 18 de setembre de 2020 a Gant, Bèlgica.Research in adversarial machine learning has shown how the performance of machine learning models can be seriously compromised by injecting even a small fraction of poisoning points into the training data. While the effects on model accuracy of such poisoning attacks have been widely studied, their potential effects on other model performance metrics remain to be evaluated. In this work, we introduce an optimization framework for poisoning attacks against algorithmic fairness, and develop a gradient-based poisoning attack aimed at introducing classification disparities among different groups in the data. We empirically show that our attack is effective not only in the white-box setting, in which the attacker has full access to the target model, but also in a more challenging black-box scenario in which the attacks are optimized against a substitute model and then transferred to the target model. We believe that our findings pave the way towards the definition of an entirely novel set of adversarial attacks targeting algorithmic fairness in different scenarios, and that investigating such vulnerabilities will help design more robust algorithms and countermeasures in the future.This research was supported by the European Commission through the ALOHAH2020 project.
