SAPERI AL PLURALE. VOCI SGUARDI PROSPETTIVE SULLA COMPLESSITA' DELLA CONOSCENZA
The complexity of knowledge requires multiple and plural research approaches, willing to interact and to dialogue with each other in view of the construction of new cognitive paradigms and new paths of research. Almost sixty years have passed since the publication of the famous pamphlet by C.P. Snow, The Two Cultures, (1959), which denounced the drastic separation between scientific and humanistic culture, however, resistance to a true and widespread practice of interdisciplinary research is still strong in the academic and institutional environments. In some cases the loss of the specificity of the research sectors is feared, in others there is doubt about the effectiveness of the dialogue between the knowledge applied indiscriminately to each field of study. Today the dialogue between the knowledges, declined in the plural, requires us a new vision of the relationship between humanists and neuroscientists, biologists, chemists and theoretical physicists, collaborative interpreters of the functioning mechanisms of cognitive processes that preside over the construction and cultural representation of each phenomenon that regards man and his social behavior.

Scrivere è un trasmettere. La parola e l'abisso in Primo Levi
The report proposes a reflection on writing in Levi, now understood as a "clear" practice of thought now, instead, as an expression of the irrational half of oneself, continually threatened by the abyss and by silence. Through a sampling of excerpts from poems, essays, interviews, novels, the complex relationship of the writer with the function of the word, liberating act, witnessing duty but also as a "dark" experience is shed light. Among the texts examined, those related to Paul Celan and his 'dark talk' allowed us to appreciate the ambiguous depth of the writing in Primo Levi
The paper reviews the main critical contributions that have appeared in scientific journals, conference proceedings, monographs on Luigi Capuana from the 1970s to today. Traditionally linked to his friend Giovanni Verga, the writer of Mineo builds a career as a short story writer and as a theatrical and literary critic, intertwining interests aimed at the investigation of reality with theoretical reflections on art and its expressive tools, always projecting himself beyond the national border to scientific and cultural interests. Alongside the studies on the specificity of the storyteller and the experimenter of narrative techniques, very widespread since the 1970s, in recent decades also as a result of postcolonial studies, the attention of critics has turned to investigate the conservative and classist ideology of the writer. by Mineo which contrasts, at least in part, with his poetic experimentalism and with his indefatigable interest in French technique and positive medicine. On the postcolonial studies front, therefore, come the most original and innovative studies that try to re-read a part of the critical prose and narrative production (Le Paesane, for example), and to situate the writer in the composite and complex framework of the Italian post-unification Risorgimento process.
