Managerial Paths, Social Inclusion, and NBS in Tactile Cultural Products: Theory and Practice
Full text linkThe aim of the work is to outline the contribution to nature-based solutions (NBS) of managerial paths regarding processes of social inclusion of cultural institutions. The article addresses particular aspects of heritage accessibility with respect to the
community of a territory, making it more sensitive to disadvantaged people with special
needs. Considering social inclusion as an important social challenge of NBS, the
article examines a case study, the Tattile Polo (Tactile Centre), in which accessibility
to culture plays a preeminent role, transferring the historical and artistic value of
cultural products to visually impaired and blind people. Empirical study assesses the
degree of social inclusion of this institution where the NBS approach helps develop
inclusive pathways and improve the perception of the reality of these disadvantaged
participants. The research defines a possible accountability model through the
definition of indicators to measure the inclusive aspects of managerial action as a relevant challenge of the NBS approach

No full textLo studio affronta il tema della tecnologia e dell'inclusione sociale all'interno dei musei tattili, in quanto istituzioni culturali dotate di una struttura espositiva in cui l'arte può essere fruita attraverso il tatto. L'obiettivo del lavoro è indagare la relazione tra innovazioni tecnologiche (IT) e processi di inclusione sociale per comprendere il ruolo del museo tattile nel promuovere un più ampio cambiamento culturale ed etico. Il disegno di ricerca, basato sulla letteratura che indaga il ruolo delle tecnologie nelle istituzioni culturali e le modalità di fruizione e gestione dei musei secondo una logica inclusiva, presenta un caso di studio qualitativo, il Museo Tattile Omero di Ancona (OTMA), tra i più significativi al mondo nell'offerta di servizi museali basati sulla percezione tattile. I risultati dell'analisi empirica evidenziano una stretta relazione tra IT e gestione dell'inclusione sociale nell'istituzione indagata.The study addresses the issue of technology and social inclusion within tactile museums, as cultural institutions that have an exhibition structure in which art can be enjoyed through touch. The aim of the work is to investigate the relationship between technological innovations (TIs) and the processes of social inclusion to understand the role of the tactile museum in promoting a broader cultural and ethical change. The research design, based on the literature that investigates the role of technologies in cultural institutions and the ways of enjoying and managing museums according to an inclusive logic, presents a qualitative case study, the Omero Tactile Museum of Ancona (OTMA), among the most significant in the world offering museum services based on tactile perception. The results of the empirical analysis highlight a close relationship between TIs and the management of social inclusion in the investigated institution
Fra Cardillo e ZEN. Incrocio tra via Fabio Besta e via Lanza di Scalea
No full textLa via Fabio Besta, preesistente collegamento fra la borgata di Cardillo e il quartiere ZEN, è interrotta dalla via Lanza di Scalea in prossimità dello ZEN 1. La frattura è resa più evidente a causa di un salto di quota.
La soluzione di continuità è legata alla profonda differenza fra le due arterie; infatti mentre la via Fabio Besta deriva da un tracciato più antico e minuto, la via Lanza di Scalea fa parte di un sistema di infrastrutture ad alta
velocità, realizzato per l’edizione dei mondiali di calcio del ’90, che collega la zona nord della città all’autostrada.
Bisogna invertire i termini rispetto alla situazione attuale e attribuire alle infrastrutture viarie in prossimità dei quartieri periferici un carattere urbano in grado di prevalere sulla connotazione di strade extraurbane. Si ritiene perciò necessario distendere un filo continuo fra Cardillo e ZEN che, intercettando la via Lanza di Scalea, dovrebbe rallentare la velocità dei veicoli e suggerire l’ingresso al quartiere. Tale incrocio potrà essere risolto, per esempio, con una rotonda o con un altro sistema in grado di rendere compatibili e sicuri i due flussi veicolari fra loro perpendicolari. Insieme al tema del nodo infrastrutturale bisognerà risolvere la continuità pedonale fra Cardillo
e ZEN. Si tratta di un progetto di suolo in grado di coinvolgere e riqualificare anche le aree disposte lungo i margini della via Lanza di Scalea e vicino alla via Fabio Besta, che il P.R.G. prevede come spazi pubblici a verde
(zona V3). La rete stradale è parte dello spazio pubblico, che si affianca ai luoghi di sosta. Tale connotazione non deve essere annullata dall’aspetto meramente funzionale di canale di scorrimento. Il sistema delle vie Lanza
di Scalea e Besta e gli spazi limitrofi possono esprimere nuove centralità

La cosa che per prima salta all’occhio giungendo presso lo ZEN di Palermo è che il quartiere risulta essere come "rinchiuso", rinchiuso non solo entro i suoi stessi confini fisici ma, principalmente, entro una sorta di isolamento sociale. Sembra non solo che la sua presenza nella piana dei Colli sia quasi quella di un corpo estraneo continuamente rigettato e rinnegato, ma anche che lo stesso contesto voglia quasi segnare un confine tra ciò che è ZEN e ciò che non lo è:
la sensazione è sia fisica che sensoriale
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Full text linkThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

The aspects concerning tourism can be considered positively as an engine of sustainable development, or they
can be perceived as a threat if the management is not carried out following the aims of sustainability and
inclusion. Starting from the theoretical basis of sustainable tourism and based on Sandell’s model (1998, 2000,
2002), the work aims to evaluate inclusive processes and the possible contribution of managerial systems. The
ability to manage inclusive processes is the basis for broad social change in tactile museums (Baldarelli and
Cardillo, 2020). To this end, an empirical study was conducted at the Omero Museum in Ancona with the
aim of evaluating and interpreting the inclusion processes
Variations on the Author
Full text link“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
