No full textIl contributo intende esaminare la valenza educativa che viene assegnata al corpo all’interno della Regola di Benedetto. Considerando il monastero come una scuola alla vita in comune si analizzeranno, in particolare, le preoccupazioni educative per il corpo e per il suo disciplinamento partendo dagli ideali ascetici più alti da custodire, fino alle indicazioni più pratiche e quotidiane da seguire. Una specifica attenzione verrà riservata all’educazione dei bambini e dei più giovani, mostrando la particolare sensibilità educativa di Benedetto alla continua ricerca di un equilibrio tra le esigenze e le peculiarità dei singoli e quelle della comunità.The contribution aims to examine the educational value assigned to the body within the Rule of Benedict. Considering the monastery as a school for communal life, the educational concerns for the body and its discipline will be analyzed, from the highest ascetic ideals to the more practical and daily instructions. Specific attention will be given to the education of children and young people, shedding light on Benedict's search for a balance between the needs and peculiarities of individuals and those of the community

Absorption Spectra Evaluation from Global Absorption Data
No full textThe paper presents and discuss a new technique for the evaluation of the absorption spectrum of a body, whose coefficients of global absorption are known for a restricted number of incident grey-body spectra comprised in a given range of temperatures (T1, T2). Indeed, although the absorption spectra reconstructed through the method proposed are not faithful reproductions of the original spectra, they nevertheless allow to achieve very well approximated results if employed for the estimation of the coefficient of global absorption of whichever incident grey-body radiation emitted by a source with a temperature within the same range (T1, T2), with clear advantages for radiating heat transfer computations. It is identified an optimum criteria to choose the radiating temperatures, which allows to bring down to 6 the number of sources needed to rebuild the spectrum. Finally, it is verified that a computed spectrum allows obtaining a well approximate results in the study of radiation heat transfer, even in case multiple reflections are not negligible

No full text“Senatore Cappelli” durum wheat products have attracted much interest in recent years because of their nutritional and quality characteristics, as they are a source of different bioactive compounds (i.e., polyphenols, serotonin, etc.). This study examines the content of biogenic amines (BAs), ß-phenylethylamine, putrescine, cadaverine, histamine, tyramine, serotonin and spermine, total polyphenols content (TPC) and antioxidant capacity (AC) of different products of the “Senatore Cappelli” durum wheat chain (SCDW): seeds, chaff, flour, and pasta. BAs were detected and quantified by HPLC-RF. While UV-Vis spectrophotometer was applied for the determination of TPC and AC. All BAs investigated were found in the samples analyzed at different concentrations. Particularly, the presence of serotonin (21.71 ± 0.15 - 42.66 ±0 .03 mg/kg), an BA with positive effects on human health, was found in all SCDW products. In addition, a higher concentration in SCDW pasta of histamine (36.37 ± 0.01 mg/kg) and cadaverine (11.43 ± 0.36 mg/kg), which are the main BAs involved in allergic processes, compared to the other SCDW products was found.
