An Unconventional Finite Difference Scheme For Modified Korteweg-De Vries Equation

    No full text
A numerical solution of the modified Korteweg-de Vries (MKdV) equation is presented by using a nonstandard finite difference (NSFD) scheme with theta method which includes the implicit Euler and a Crank-Nicolson type discretization. Local truncation error of the NSFD scheme and linear stability analysis are discussed. To test the accuracy and efficiency of the method, some numerical examples are given. The numerical results of NSFD scheme are compared with the exact solution and a standard finite difference scheme. The numerical results illustrate that the NSFD scheme is a robust numerical tool for the numerical integration of the MKdV equation.WoSScopu

Applications of Parameter-Expanding Method to Nonlinear Oscillators in which the Restoring Force is Inversely Proportional to the Dependent Variable or in Form of Rational Function of Dependent Variable

    No full text
He's parameter-expanding method with an adjustment of restoring forces in terms of Chebyshev's series is used to construct approximate frequency-amplitude relations for a conservative nonlinear singular oscillator in which the restoring force is inversely proportional to the dependent variable or in form of rational function of dependant variable. The procedure is used to solve the nonlinear differential equation approximately. The approximate frequency obtained using this procedure is more accurate than those obtained using other approximate methods and the discrepancy between the approximate frequency and the exact one negligible

Hacıbeyov'un "Köroğlu", C. Hacıyev'in "Vatan", A. Bedelbeyli'nin "Nizami" operasında, Murtuza Memmedov'un söylediği müzik parçalarının analizini ve sanatçının opera ustası olarak performansı hakkında detaylı bilgi verilmektedir. Aynı zamanda Ü. Hacıbeyov'un "Sevgili canan" ve "Sensiz" romansları incelenmiştir.Bulbul (Murtuza Rza oglu Mamedov), one of the strongest artists of the Azerbaijani people, made an invaluable contribution to the development of national culture. The enchanting melodies of the Turks, the strong voice of the immortal singer and his unique performance found an even better embodiment, the romances of Azerbaijani and foreign composers and the brilliant performance of opera arias played an important role in the formation of national vocal art. His high professional training in Baku and later at the Milan Conservatory allowed him to implement his initiative to create a national singing school based on the traditions of vocal art in Europe in the style of reading. Murtuza Mamedov also took an active part in the creation of musical numbers, which are a manifestation of Eastern and Western musical thinking, such as Senfoni mugam, gazelleromance. Founded in 1932 by the artist, who played a major role in collecting, transcribing, teaching and researching samples of Azerbaijani folk music, the Council for the Study of Scientific Music played a special role in the formation of national music. In the study, U. Hajibayov’s “Koroglu”, J. Hajiyev’s “Vatan”, A. Bedelbeyli’s “Nizami” operas, analysis of musical pieces sung by Murtuza Mamedov and detailed information about the artist’s performance as an opera master are given. At the same time U. Hajibayov’s romances “Sevgili canan” and “Sensiz” were examined

Constacyclic locally recoverable codes from their duals

    No full text
A code has locality r if a symbol in any coordinate of a codeword in the code can be recovered by accessing the value of at most r other coordinates. Such codes are called locally recoverable codes (LRCs for short). Since LRCs can recover a failed node by accessing the minimum number of the surviving nodes, these codes are used in distributed storage systems such as Microsoft Azure. In this paper, constacyclic LRCs are obtained from their parity-check polynomials. Constacyclic codes with locality r <= 2 \documentclass[12pt]{minimal} \usepackage{amsmath} \usepackage{wasysym} \usepackage{amsfonts} \usepackage{amssymb} \usepackage{amsbsy} \usepackage{mathrsfs} \usepackage{upgreek} \setlength{\oddsidemargin}{-69pt} \begin{document}r2r\le 2\end{document} and dimension 2 are obtained and a sufficient and necessary condition for these codes to have locality 1 is given. Then, the construction is generalized. Distance optimal constacyclic LRCs with distance 2 are obtained. Also, constacyclic codes with locality 1 are constructed. They may be so useful in practice thanks to their minimum locality. Constacyclic codes whose locality is equal to their dimension are given. Furthermore, constacyclic LRCs are obtained from cyclotomic cosets.Yildiz Technical University Scientific Research Projects Coordination Department [FYL-2023-5605]; Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkiye (TUBITAK) [BIDEB-2210]This research was supported by the Yildiz Technical University Scientific Research Projects Coordination Department (Project Number: FYL-2023-5605) and first author is partially supported by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkiye (TUBITAK) (Grant Number: BIDEB-2210). Interplay between network configurations and network governance mechanisms in supply networks a systematic literature review

    No full text
Purpose: This work systematically reviews the extant academic management literature on supply networks. It specifically examines how network configurations and network governance mechanisms influence each other in supply networks. Design: 125 analytical and empirical studies were identified using an evidence-based approach to review the literature mainly published between 1985 and 2012. Synthesis: Drawing on a multi-disciplinary theoretical foundation, this work develops an integrative framework to identify three distinct yet interdependent themes that characterize the study of supply networks: a) Network Configurations (structures and relationships); b) Network Governance Mechanisms (formal and informal); and c) The Interplay between Network Configurations and Network Governance Mechanisms. Findings: Network configurations and network governance mechanisms mutually influence each other and cannot be considered in isolation. Formal and informal governance mechanisms provide better control when used as complements rather than as substitutes. The choice of governance mechanism depends on the nature of exchange; role of management; desired level of control; level of flexibility in formal contracts; and complementary role of formal and informal governance mechanism. Research implications: This nascent field has thematic and methodological research opportunities for academics. Comparative network analysis using longitudinal case studies offers a rich area for further study. Practical Implications: The complexity surrounding the conflicting roles of managers at the organisation and network levels poses a significant challenge during the development and implementation stage of strategic network policies. Originality/value: This review reveals that formal and informal governance mechanisms provide better control when used as complements rather than as substitutes
