No full textNell’anno 1900 una notizia rossiniana raggiunse l’attenta piazza musicale milanese: "Il m° Lucio Campiani ha donato alla R. Accademia Virgiliana di Mantova alcuni Recitativi con accompagnamento di quartetto d’archi, di Gioachino Rossini, scritti di tutto pugno dal Cigno pesarese che li dedicava al Campiani suo scolaro".
Tutto quanto riguardasse il «Cigno pesarese» era degno di interesse, tanto più se a riemergere fossero sue ignote pagine autografe. Lo scarno trafiletto, comunque più informato rispetto alle ancor più scarne notizie locali, non forniva altri dettagli, ma riconduceva la donazione al rapporto fra Rossini e il «suo scolaro» Campiani. Trattandosi di recitativi accompagnati, si poteva ipotizzare che l’autografo contenesse brutte copie o abbozzi di scene d’opera. Nessuno si dette la pena di approfondire. Il frammento rossiniano, tuttora conservato dalla stessa istituzione, ora denominata Accademia nazionale virgiliana di scienze, lettere e arti, è stato a lungo considerato più un cimelio che una fonte musicale degna di studio. Debitamente contestualizzato, esso reca invece il segno concreto dell’operatività didattica di Rossini, che si esplicava anche con interventi diretti sui lavori degli allievi del Liceo musicale di Bologna. Ramificate le implicazioni che ne conseguono: sulla circolazione delle fonti musicali, sull’impegno educativo di Rossini, intrecciato con le relazioni personali, e sulla sua fama postuma anche di didatta

Get PDFIn this article I address two interrelated topics: space construction and the perception of the built environment at
Palenque, Chiapas, during the Late Classic Period. Starting from the study of Palenque’s urban morphology and
by using Geographic Information System’s tools, I aim at underlying intentionality in specific buildings’ position
and to explore how people’s urbanity, that is their condition in the city and the experience of otherness, would
have transformed their perception of the environment. To this end, I will consider some characteristics of the
environment such as labor investment, infrastructure and resource access, land subdivision in architectural
groups and their distribution. I argue that these elements, if considered in relation with circulation and visibility,
suggest specific planning strategies and point to social status difference within city sectors and their inhabitants
