No full textAlexandre Pieroni Calado está envolvido num projecto disciplinar cruzado que, à maneira de uma historiografia fictícia, tenta recriar uma peça que o realizador, Rogério de Carvalho, nunca fez com os textos da Princesa Dramática: A Morte e a Donzela de Elfriede Jelinek. É um projecto em que a investigação é uma componente vital e que, como este texto pretende demonstrar, pode ser enquadrado no campo da genética do desempenho. Este ensaio mostrará prospectivamente que o processo criativo do Calado tem aspectos comuns significativos quando comparado com a prática poética de Carvalho, em particular quando se consideram os procedimentos de trabalho com actores. Finalmente, argumentaremos que existem ligações relevantes entre a crítica genética/genética da performance, o tema do arquivo nas artes performativas e o problema da prática como investigação

Geometric algebra and electronics devoted to the control of upper-limb prostheses
No full textThe last decades have witnessed significant improvements in the field of prosthetics. However, control strategies are still not as advanced as the prosthetic hardware and fail to provide a robust control to the end user, often leading to device abandonment. This works aspires to improve the control of polyarticulated myoelectric prostheses following two distinct lines of research: a) designing explainable control algorithms for reducing prosthesis recalibration time; b) contributing to the development of a novel implantable EMG-based electronic system. The developed control algorithms are grounded on Geometric Algebra and nearest neighbor classification and are inspired by stroke gesture recognition. These algorithms are the result of the intuition gained from the exploratory work on time series classification and are aimed at reducing the amount of necessary training data and training time while maintaining acceptable recognition rates. It is also intended to provide a geometrically interpretable alternative to the state-of-the-art algorithms, allowing the decision-making process to be more explainable. These algorithms were evaluated on both offline and real-time scenarios and computed high recognition rates (even when compared to other state-of-the-art classifiers) while complying with the reduced training data and training time requirements, indicating that achieving faster device recalibration may be possible. On the other hand, the contributions to the development of the implantable EMG system were based on the development of a firmware/software framework to control different system functionalities and stream/record the EMG signals. Moreover, the feasibility of transcutaneous data transmission using the Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) protocol was demonstrated, along with a preliminary evaluation of the system prototype. In sum, the two lines of research explored throughout this work share the main aim of providing more intuitive control for prosthetic users, potentially improving their quality of life and device satisfaction
La filosofía del derecho de Alexandre Kojève
No full textThis article is a presentation of Alexandre Kojève’s philosophy of law, exposed in his Esquisse d’une phénoménologie du droit (1981). Little attention has been paid to this work. So there is a gap that has to be filled with a critical reflection of its strengths. Among them, undoubtedly, we count the fact that Kojève is introducing a conception of international justice that casts a singular light on current debates about cosmopolitanism and globalization. According to this author, citizenship is the key element of the process of global expansion of the juridical sphere. In sum, Kojève’s philosophy is useful to reflect upon the contrast between the juridical and the political, which is the basis for all philosophy of law, in order to achieve world peace and international justice.Este artículo es una presentación de la filosofía del derecho de Alexandre Kojève contenida en su Esquisse d’une phénoménologie du droit (1981). La poca atención que dicha obra ha recibido es un vacío que debiera llenarse con una reflexión crítica de sus puntos fuertes. Entre ellos destaca una concepción de la justicia internacional que proyecta una luz muy singular sobre los actuales debates en torno a la globalización y el cosmopolitismo. A ojos de este autor, la ciudadanía es el elemento clave para aquilatar la expansión global de lo jurídico. En suma, Kojève aparece como un valioso referente en la labor de pensar la contraposición entre lo jurídico y lo político que está en la base de toda filosofía del derecho, con la aspiración al logro de la justicia internacional y la paz mundial en el horizonte

principais carateres que, nos diversos momentos históricos, se foram evidenciando.
Numa segunda etapa exploramos os fundamentos dogmáticos do modelo de
transmissão contratual assumido pelo legislador e a sua viabilidade no sistema
jurídico global, em particular, no direito dos valores mobiliários. Constatamos a
crescente necessidade na prática mercantil e inevitabilidade no sistema jurídico
global da admissibilidade da existência de contratos de compra e venda de natureza
meramente obrigacional. Num terceiro momento desenvolvemos os principais
aspetos do regime jurídico aplicável às ações tituladas nominativas fora do mercado
regulado, em particular, os principais limites à transmissão, enquanto instrumentos/barreiras ao consensualismo contratual.We start from the historical evolution of contractual consensualism emphasizing the
main aspects that, in different historical moments, were showing up. In a second
stage we explore the dogmatic foundations of the transmission model contractual
assumed by the legislator and its viability in the global legal system, in particular, in
securities law. We note the growing need in commercial practice and inevitability in
the global legal system the admissibility of the existence of contracts of sale purely
obligatory. In the third stage we develop the main aspects of the legal regime
applicable to nominative titled actions outside the regulated market, in particular,
the main limits to the transmission, as instruments / barriers to contractual
consensualism

Western Atlantic — Mexico (Yucatan Peninsula) to Panama, Puerto Rico, Brazil (São Paulo) (Rhyne et al. 2012; Santana-Moreno et al. 2013; present study) Previous records. Ubatuba, Couves Island [Barros-Alves et al. 2016 as Lysmata cf. intermedia (Kingsley, 1878)]. Remarks. Barros-Alves et al. (2016) sampled two specimens of L. cf. intermedia occurring syntopically with more than 30 individuals of L. ankeri in Couves Island. One of the specimens (size 6.2 mm) was re-examined, but the other specimen reported (5.4 mm in CC) was not found in the MZUSP collection. The specimen examined by us matches L. jundalini, since it has 23 fused segments on the lateral antennular flagellum (vs. 17 fused in L. intermedia) and 3 teeth on the dactylus of the 3rd to 5th pereiopods (vs. 4 in L. intermedia) (d’Udekem d’Acoz 2000; Rhyne et al. 2012). This finding extends the species distribution considerably south-westwards to São Paulo and constitute the first record from Brazil, since the previous southern limit of occurrence of these shrimps was Panama (Rhyne et al. 2012; Santana-Moreno et al. 2013). Our record exemplifies one more case of decapod misidentified along the Brazilian coast and several, non-exclusive hypotheses may explain the low number of captured individuals such as cryptic habit, low collection efforts in the rocky subtidal areas, and recent introduction as proposed to other congeners (Barros-Alves et al. 2016). Regarding the color pattern, we cannot discuss much based on the analyzed specimen, since there is practically no shading due to the fixation and there is no reference which specimen is (that one we examined or that one we could not find) in the photo provided by Barros-Alves et al. (2016; Fig. 1b, p. 2). Taking in account the photos of specimens recorded by Rhyne et al. (2012; Fig. 4, p. 76) in the original description and Santana-Moreno et al. (2013; Fig. 2C, p. 227) that recorded the species in Mexico, there is some variation of color tonality in combination with some similarity in the general aspect as translucent body with wide rust colored longitudinal stripes, lateral carapace with longitudinal strips, lacking transverse bands and dorsal carapace with heavy singular inverted U-shaped band. Molecular analyses are in progress to give more subsidies and elucidate this taxonomic field. In addition, due to the impossibility of analyzing a second specimen collected by Barros-Alves et al. “Era por Alexandre tod’esto demostrado”: ¿pruebas verídicas y pruebas engañosas en el Libro de Alexandre?
No full textEl Libro de Alexandre es un texto de s. XIII, que se escribió en la España medieval. En este escrito, el autor pretende demostrar que, en el Alexandre, algunas de las situaciones que se ponen a prueba son aceptadas, pero eso no significa que el macedonio gane la prueba. El articulo esta dividido en tres apartados. En el primero, el autor da cuenta de la historia textual de la obra y también dedica ciertas líneas al Estado de la cuestión del texto; mientras que, en la segunda parte, nos guía a conceptos etimológicos de los términos prueba, evidencia y demás. En el tercer apartado se centra en algunas pruebas expuestas en el Libro de Alexandre.The Libro de Alexandre is a literary work, written during the medieval Spain. In this paper, the author tries to demonstrate that, carefully reading the L.A, some of the situations that are set as proves are accepted, but it does not mean that Alexander can be a victor. This paper is divided in three sections: firstly, the author tells the textual history of the L.A and, then, tries to update the State of art: on the other hand, in the second part, the author offers meanings about terms as: prueba and evidencia.
