No full textValerie Contreras-Gomez (Class of 2020) was interviewed by David Hu via the Zoom internet-based video conferencing software on July 1, 2020. Ms. Contreras-Gomez was born in Mexico City and moved to the United States when she was 15. During her interview, she discusses the difficulties she faced in high school due to the language barrier, and the impact it had on her social life and education. She initially attended community college for two years before transferring to SMU, where she majored in Marketing. While at SMU, she made a diverse group of friends and was involved with a volunteer program. She speaks highly of her mentor in the marketing program, and of the assistance she has received from her advisors post-graduation. Ms. Contreras-Gomez graduated with her B.B.A. in December 2019 and remains in touch with her mentor and others at the university

No full textDigitalEn este informe, se describirá el trabajo realizado durante las prácticas formativas en el campo de la Tecnología en Producción Gráfica Publicitaria durante el primer semestre de 2023. El enfoque principal se centró en la creación de contenido para la marca Carolina Contreras, con el objetivo de mejorar la estética de sus redes sociales, fomentar la interacción con la comunidad y aumentar las ventas a través de estas plataformas. Para lograr estos objetivos, se establecieron lineamientos visuales que sirvieron como base para la creación de contenido atractivo y coherente. Para lograrlo se implementaron estrategias de posicionamiento de marca y se produjo material de entretenimiento para satisfacer a los seguidores y cultivar una base de fans sólida ya que estos son a menudo los más propensos a apoyar y difundir el mensaje, impulsando así a la marca para que no se quede solo en un emprendimiento local sino que supere sus límites.In this report, we will describe the work carried out during the training internship in the field of Advertising Graphic Production Technology during the first semester of 2023. The main focus was on creating content for the Carolina Contreras brand, with the aim of enhancing the aesthetics of their social media platforms, fostering community interaction, and increasing sales through these platforms. To achieve these objectives, visual guidelines were established as a basis for creating attractive and consistent content. Brand positioning strategies were implemented, and entertaining materials were produced to satisfy followers and cultivate a strong fan base, as they are often the most likely to support and spread the message, thus propelling the brand beyond being just a local venture and exceeding its boundaries.Tabla de Contenidos
