A quick glance at the apostrophes to the reader, which are spread along the lines of Dante's Commedia, allows us to appreciate the importance of these interruptions of the narrative objectivity of the work. Its abundance calls attention to an specific treatment of the poetic-self. A more detailed study allows the discovery of the temporalization eagerness which guided the author as a repositary of a theological revelation which he could only share with the rest of the world being transformed as a personal and historical experience. Andreu Febrer's translation into Catalan (1429) treated Dante's work with high respect. This can be seen particularly in his respectful treatment of the above-mentioned apostrophes, where the unity of form and content is better shown. An analysis -short and synthetic- of the various traductological attitudes in the Middle Ages, and also of the three translations of Dante's Commedia, made in the Hispanic environment in that time, give prominance to Andreu Febrer's work -whose fidelity offered Catalan readers the oportunity to experience by themselves the same as that felt by the Tuscan poet
Validation of the PDRI for Massachusetts Institute of Technology building projects
Thesis (S.M.)--Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Dept. of Civil and Environmental Engineering, 2004.Includes bibliographical references (p. 93-94).This electronic version was submitted by the student author. The certified thesis is available in the Institute Archives and Special Collections. The thesis presents the work performed to validate the managerial tool called Project Definition Rating Index (PDRI). An improved methodology is presented. This new methodology produces much better linear correlation results between PDRI scores and Cost performance of the projects (R² = 0.957) than previous validation efforts. The projects used for validation purposes have been developed by MIT for its Capital Project effort that started officially in the year 2000. While the results are recommended to be applied to future MIT projects, the author explains how the PDRI works thus facilitating future validation tasks. In the process, the author proposes a modified version of the weights of the PDRI scoring sheet that better adjusts to the definition principles of the tool.by Pere-Andreu Ubach de Fuentes.S.M

Permission from IEEE must be obtained for all other users, including reprinting/ republishing this material for advertising or promotional purposes, creating new collective works for resale or redistribution to servers or lists, or reuse of any copyrighted components of this work in other works.[EN] In this letter, a research of ultra-wideband in-body channel by using a high accurate phantom is performed in order to evaluate the impact of frequency dependence of human tissues on the channel characteristics. Hence, a phantom-based measurement campaign from 3.1 to 5.1 GHz has been conducted. From postprocessing data, the path loss is assessed considering subbands of 500 MHz as well as the entire frequency range under test. In addition, the correlation in transmission is computed and discussed. This work was supported in part by the Ministerio de Economia y Competitividad, Spain, under Grant TEC2014-60258-C2-1-R, and in part by the European FEDER funds.
