Scopus e Web of Science.
PHYSICAL LITERACY: DEFINITION AND DIDACTIC-METHODOLOGICAL APPROACHES. TOWARDS AN ITALIAN MODEL?
The multiple definitions of Physical Literacy (PL) show how scientific research proceeds, frequently, in a fragmented and not unitary way, with studies and experiences not always in mutual relation and continuity, adopting, often, an analytical and not global approach to the educational process. The scientific evidence emphasized the educational and pedagogical role of motor activities as "accelerator of processes" for the physical, cognitive, emotional-relational and social child’s development. This contribution aims, starting from the definition of the disciplinary and intervention areas of the PL, to analyze some European and extra-European theoretical-organizational models, to propose, finally, some educational and methodological approaches with which to translate PL into practice
ASSESSING THE EFFECTS OF PHYSICAL ACTIVITY ON CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS HODGKIN’S LYMPHOMA SURVIVORS: A SYSTEMATIC REVIEW
Physical activity can improve metabolism, lung functionality, aerobic capacity, physical fitness components and quality of life among children and adults diagnosed with cancer. The daily practice of physical activity and physical fitness levels are important factors to cancer care and prevention, showing positive effects on the immune system and hematologic malignancies. Hodgkin's lymphoma is a cancer of the lymphatic system, originated from B lymphocytes (a type of white blood cell) present in the lymph nodes, spleen, bone marrow, blood and numerous other organs. This system has a defense function, protecting organism from external agents and diseases. The aim of this systematic review is to analyze the effects of physical activity on fatigue, physical fitness levels and quality of life in children and adolescents Hodgkin's lymphoma survivors. The PRISMA protocol was used to conduct a systematic review of SportDiscuss, PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science and Pedro databases. 4 articles met inclusion criteria (randomized controlled trials, pre-post intervention studies with and without control group, pilot studies or preliminary studies; full-text and peer-reviewed studies; diagnosis of lymphoma during childhood or adolescence; studies using validated assessment tools or a combination of validated and non-validated tools; studies including physical activity, physical fitness and quality of life as outcomes; studies focusing Hodgkin Lymphoma exclusively; studies published in English). Results evidence a progressive decline in physical activity levels, a progressive decrease in VO2max, increased fatigue, muscular strength reduction, and major risk of cardiovascular diseases in Hodgkin’s Lymphoma survivors. Future research should clarify the effects of physical activity on HL management and etiology, to reach definitive conclusions and develop specific policy recommendations.

The contribution of technologies for learning and development of motor skills in early age
The diffusion of technologies in the school curriculum solicits every discipline to identify, in its structure, essential themes and methods of use, in accordance with the motivation of the students. The use to technologies expresses an opportunity for expanding disciplinary teaching that follows sociocultural evolution, mobilizing students’ interests, skills and abilities, generating an educational continuity of environments and skills. This work aims to present a review of studies published between 2013 and 2018, which highlights the contribution of technologies to promote motor competences in developmental age and the assessment of levels of physical activity. The analysis of the literature, through various databases and search engines, has brought out multiple directions of study and applications and the need for shared methodological guideline

Assessing the Evolution of Physical Fitness in Children and Adolescents for Evidence-Based Teaching
Physical fitness is one of the most important health indicators in children and
adolescents. This study aims to assess the evolution of physical fitness levels
in children and adolescents (9 - 14 yrs) related to weight-status, providing
evidence-based instructions for physical education teachers, and promoting
the quality of physical education programs. The sample consisted of 542 early
adolescents aged 9 - 14 years (M = 269, F = 273) recruited from secondary
schools in Italy. Physical fitness was assessed with the following motor test:
SBJ, MBT, 10 × 5 and One Mile RWt. In addition to descriptive statistics, independent samples T-test and factorial ANOVA were carried out to compare
and assess the evolution of motor performances over time. Multiple linear
regression analysis was executed to investigate the variance in motor test explained by weight and height. Results evidence a significant increase in SBJ
and MBT, but not in 10 × 5 and OneMile Run/Walk test, in about all age
groups, both in male and female, normal weight and overweight/obese. Data
analysis suggests that strength test in which is required single movement execution is more associated and conditioned by individual growth and anthropometrics factors than test required repeated movement and greater coordinative engagement
PHYSICAL LITERACY, EDUCATIONAL PROCESS AND CONTEXTS: MODELS, INTERVENTIONS, PERSPECTIVES
Physical Literacy (PL) has gained popularity and progressive importance worldwide in recent years,
contributing to the definition of paths in educational research, internal and external school projects,
connections with sports, and other educational contexts. PL has been described as a gateway to physical
activityparticipation across different ages and educational settings such as schools, sports, leisure time, and
the healthsector for the prevention and treatment of non-communicable diseases.
In many countries, not only in Europe, models of PL are now present, with varying degrees of definition,
characterizing not only interpretations of education through physicality and motor and sports activities but
alsothe level of institutional presence and impact. Various studies have recently been published expressing
syntheses and positions on the topic.
In a time when various technologies are often at the forefront of attention for studying their real
contribution to the educational and learning process, it is crucial not to overlook the importance of physical
literacy in the lives of children and youth. PL goes beyond motor and sports skills or the development of
physical efficiency, framing itself as an educational process, a teaching model, a methodological approach,
and a lifestyle.
Physical literacy encompasses motivations, confidence, motor skills, knowledge, and awareness that enable
the maintenance of a physically active lifestyle. A student possessing a high level of physical literacy can move
with motor mastery consciously and creatively (Whitehead, 2013)
TECHNOLOGIES IN PHYSICAL EDUCATION: PEDAGOGICAL AND DIDACTICAL IMPLICATIONS
The use of educational technologies (ET) in school setting is progressively modifying the epistemological structure
of the disciplines, conditioning the development of the educational process, influencing methodologies and enhancing students’ motivation and engagement in learning. In school setting, the use of digital tools combined with
innovative didactic methods (i.e. “brainstorming”, “flipped classroom”, “cooperative learning”, “role play”, etc.)
helps children and adolescents to develop life skills, emotional intelligence, divergent thinking, and solicit different
learnings styles in order to generate links between different areas of knowledge, structure mental concept maps and
provide significant learnings. This paper aims to illustrate the modern pedagogical and methodological implications
of using technologies and game-based learning for the teaching of physical education, highlighting strengths and
limitations
