La mostra, realizzata in collaborazione con il Musée Rodin di Parigi, indaga la passione del grande scultore francese per la danza e, in particolare, per quella tradizionale cambogiana, diventata estremamente popolare in Europa tra fine ‘800 e inizio ‘900 grazie alle tournées delle danzatrici khmer a Parigi.
Incentrata attorno al nucleo di figurine in terracotta e disegni che formano il ciclo Mouvements de danse, cui Rodin lavorò tra il 1902 e il 1913, la mostra presenta due ulteriori sezioni, curate da Elena Cervellati (storica della danza) e Cristiana Natali (antropologa), che illustrano le influenze delle danzatrici cambogiane sull’immaginario di Rodin, e l'importanza, per la danza contemporanea di oggi, dell'ispirazione fornita dal grande artista

No full textIl saggio, inserito nel catalogo della mostra "Rodin e la danza", realizzata dal Museo delle Culture (MUDEC) di Milano (25 ottobre 2023-10 marzo 2024), mette in luce le relazioni che legano alcune sculture di Auguste Rodin e le creazioni di coreografe e coreografi attivi a partire dalla seconda metà del Novecento, come, ad esempio, Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker o Anna Halprin. Sicuramente, le forme trovate da Rodin sono ben visibili nella maggior parte degli spettacoli a lui ispirati, ma emerge pure un desiderio di cogliere e riproporre l'energia che pare prorompere dall’interno delle creazioni dello scultore e che è intimamente connessa con la ricerca di un’interiorità generatrice di movimento che interessa profondamente tanti protagonisti delle rivoluzioni del corpo messe in atto tra fine Ottocento e inizio Novecento, alcuni dei quali sono a vario titolo vicini allo stesso Rodin.The essay, included in the catalog of the exhibition "Rodin and Dance," organized by the Museum of Cultures (MUDEC) in Milan (Oct. 25, 2023-March 10, 2024), highlights the relationships that link some of Auguste Rodin's sculptures and the creations of choreographers active since the second half of the twentieth century, such as, for example, Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker or Roberto Zappalà. Undoubtedly, the forms found by Rodin are clearly visible in most of the performances inspired by him, but there also emerges a desire to capture and re-propose the energy that seems to burst forth from within the sculptor's creations and that is intimately connected with the search for a movement-generating interiority that profoundly interests so many protagonists of the body revolutions enacted in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, some of whom are in various ways close to Rodin himself

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
No full textThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
