No full textCe chapitre présente une estimation des vases grecs qui ont été recueillis lors des premiers travaux dans les nécropoles qui entourent La Castellina et, en appendice, quelques fragments mis au jour dans le sondage de 1964 sur le sommet du site. Cette recherche se base sur la documentation publiée et, pour les travaux postérieurs à 1945, sur les objets qui sont conservés au Musée national de Civitavecchia. L’étude de la distribution des vases grecs d’importation dans les tombes de La Castellina a permis d’entrevoir une dynamique cohérente dans l’implantation des sépultures au départ de positions marquantes

Le guerre in Europa e in Medio Oriente, le morti dei migranti a un passo dalle nostre coste, la crisi ambientale, la crescita della diseguaglianza tra nord e sud del mondo e, all’interno dell’occidente opulento, tra ricchi e poveri, l’insorgere di nuove schiavitù, spesso presentate come ineluttabili esternalità negative del migliore dei mondi possibili, l’incapacità della politica di immaginare un futuro alternativo e, soprattutto, di incidere su una realtà governata dall’economia, tutto questo – ma tanto altro si potrebbe aggiungere – ci fa guardare al mondo di domani con pessimismo se non addirittura con disperazione. Cosa più grave, sono i giovani ad avere perso la speranza e a provare – legittimamente – del risentimento nei nostri confronti per il mondo che lasceremo loro. Luciana Castellina con la sua vita mostra come sia possibile avere fiducia nel futuro anche in tempi bui. Ed è a questa fiducia che questa laudatio è dedicata.Humanity is living in dark times today. The wars in Europe and the Middle East, the deaths of migrants just a stone's throw from our shores, the environmental crisis, the growth of inequality between the north and south of the world and, within the opulent west, between rich and poor, the emergence of new slavery, often presented as inescapable negative externalities of the best of all possible worlds, the inability of politics to imagine an alternative future and, above all, to influence a reality governed by the economy, all of this - but much more could be added - makes us look at tomorrow's world with pessimism if not despair. Most seriously, the young people have lost hope and feel - legitimately - resentment towards us for the world we are leaving them. Luciana Castellina, with her life, shows how having faith in the future is possible, even in dark times. And it is to this trust that this laudatio is dedicated
Assistive Technology and Applications: Independent living of severe motor disabled users
No full textSome chronic degenerative diseases lead to communication problems and individual confinement. The progressive and total loss of motor functions induces in these patients anatrhria, i.e., inability of using the normal Augmentative and Alternative Communication systems (AAC), and also the impossibility of interacting with their surrounding environment. In patients affected by ALS and MS, even if other communication forms are damaged or lost, the ability of controlling eye movements is typically maintained. The eye trackers are able to determine the direction of the user's gaze and to use it as an input channel. Communication instruments based on eye-tracking are for some patients a possible solution, both to have a useful communication with family members or at longer distance, using Internet, and for the possibility to control the home environment using a computer controlled by their eye movements. This book tackles, even if in partial and limited way, the communication and independence needs of severe motor disabled person

No full textLe ricerche che osservano l’intera famiglia, comprendendo tutti i figli, sono ancora poco numerose. Le modalità attraverso cui la qualità dell'interazione dei signoli sottosistemi influenza ed è influenzata dall'interazione degli altri sottosistemi e dell'intera famiglia sono raramente oggetto di studio. L'esclusione delle fratrie dalle ricerche coincide in ambito clinico con la frequente esclusione dalle stanze di terapia, dove raramente vengono convocati i fratelli di bambini che mostrano disagio psicologico. La presente tesi ha l’obiettivo di indagare come la presenza di più figli possa influenzare le capacità di coordinazione della famiglia e, in maniera circolare, come le dinamiche familiari possano influenzare l’interazione fraterna. La tesi presenta la costruzione e validazione di una griglia di osservazione dell’interazione fraterna nel contesto di un gioco strutturato della famiglia. Successivamente vengono confrontati due campioni di famiglie(15 cliniche e 15 volontarie)con due figli in età scolare rispetto a: relazione fraterna, sia osservata nel gioco familiare, che percepita dai protagonisti,qualità della coordinazione familiare, comportamento genitoriale differenziale e adattamento dei bambini. Si evidenziano differenze significative tra i due campioni rispetto alla funzionalità di tutte le dimensioni osservate e si ipotizzano modalità differenti di contagio funzionale tra sottosistemi
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
No full textThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
