“What’s in a name? That which we call Royal Prerogative...” Foot, Executive Power. The Prerogative, Past, Present and Future, Oxford, Hart Publishing, 2022)
The essay aims – looking at the suggestions coming from the latest book by Robert Hazell and Timothy Foot – at analysing the topic of the Royal Prerogative in the United Kingdom. Starting from a brief definition of its formal characteristics, attention will be paid to the concrete developments it has experienced throughout history, looking in particular at the way this power has been applied in some fundamental areas of constitutional law (the appointment of the Prime Minister, the early parliamentary dissolution, the royal assent of laws, the ratification of international treaties, the prorogation of the House of Commons). Finally, some remarks will be made on the possibility of “codifying” (or even reforming) some structural aspects of the Royal Prerogative, without changing its contents

Zool. 56: 317, 1989; Csermely et al., Birds of Prey Bull. 4: 133, 1991; Csermely, Proc. Symp. "Biol. & Conserv. of Small Falcons", in stampa; Csermely, Boll.

18F-FDG PET/CT Metabolic Behavior of COVID-19 Pneumonia: A Series of 4 Patients With RT-PCR Confirmation
Between March 26 and April 6, among 80 patients who underwent F-FDG PET/CT in our department (Brescia, Italy), 4 showed the presence of an interstitial pneumonia suspected for COVID-19 with reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction confirmation. All patients except one had bilateral ground-glass opacities and/or lung consolidations in at least 2 pulmonary lobes. Inferior lobes and basal segments were the most frequent site of disease. All lung lesions had an increased FDG uptake corresponding to the interstitial pneumonia, and in one case, mediastinal nodal involvement was registered
Prognostic Value of 18F-FDG PET/CT Metabolic Parameters in Splenic Marginal Zone Lymphoma
The present study investigated the potential value of fluorine-18 fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography metabolic features in estimating progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS) in patients affected by splenic marginal zone lymphoma. The estimated 2-year PFS and OS rates were 78% and 90%, whereas 5-year PFS and OS rates were 63% and 82%. Only lesion to liver maximum standardized uptake value ratio and lesion to blood-pool maximum standardized uptake value ratio were independent prognostic factors for PFS. By contrast, for OS, no positron emission tomography/computed tomography features were correlated with outcome
Determination of triphenyltin compounds and tricyclohexyltin hydroxide by gas-chromatography of their derivatives
A gas-liq. chromatog. method is reported for detg. the triphenyltin derivs. (Ph3SnR) and tricyclohexyltin hydroxide (Cy3SnOH) after their conversion (via the Grignard reaction catalyzed by CuCl) to tetraphenyltin (Ph4Sn) and tricyclohexylphenyltin (Cy3PhSn). The recovery of Ph4Sn and Cy3PhSn was satisfactory in the range 50 to 3000 mg. Different columns were tested using flame-ionization detection. For both derivs. (Ph4Sn and Cy3PhSn), the response is linear from 0.05 to 3.00 mg. Results of thermal anal., IR spectroscopy, and mass spectrometry are reporte
Some chemical-physical properties of tricyclohexyltin hydroxide and its analytical determination
A gas-liq. chromatog. method is reported for detg. tricyclohexyltin hydroxide in powders marketed as insecticides, after its extn. with CHCl3. Different glass columns were tested using flame ionization or electron capture detectors. The linearity of the response was from 0.1 to 2.5 mg using the flame ionization detector and from 0.5 to 5.0 ng using the electron capture detector. Its recovery from the analyzed samples is satisfactory. Results of thermal anal., I.R. spectroscopy and mass spectrometry were also reporte
