Criticità e prospettive di sviluppo per le attività economiche dell’Area Marina Protetta Capo Caccia – Isola Piana
Anthropogenic Activity and Regional Vulnerability to Change: The Case of Sardinia (Italy)
The paper contributes to the debate on the relationship between economic growth and environmental limits. The analysis is conducted on a regional scale and focuses on the development of a pressure indicator which is the correlation between the performance (in Added Value terms) of each economic anthropogenic activity and its relative level of pollution. Using a comparison between the results produced by the pressure indicator and other indicators used in the literature, it is possible to work out a more coherent view of the regional relationship between climate change and economic growth
Il Club dell’1% nel potere delle lobbies
The research examines the system of socio-economic inequalities that characterizes industrialized societies, observed jointly with the lobbying carried out by large pressure groups.
Starting from the issues related to the high instability and volatility in our markets, we analyze the results produced by the research conducted mainly by four authors (Stiglitz, 2013, Piketty 2014, Saez and Zucman 2014) to highlight the structural weaknesses of public governance, inside which, often, the major stakeholders operate in the absence of proper regulation.
It explores the close relationship between the political and economic power of the elites, whose lobbies represent the highest point of view. Lobbies, in fact, define, through their activities, the link between the public and private spheres of governance.
The State has a duty to define the line between individual interests and the collective and balance the roles and spheres of the influence of private stakeholders, in the social interest and overall. In the praxis, in the various areas in which the economy operates and manufactures their effects, especially in the financial sector, the level of power exercised by lobbyists exceeds the limit of the virtuous link between political and economic spheres, transforming the process of integration between the two worlds into a systemic dysfunction that generates socio-economic centers and peripheries that also evolve within the community, in which strong pluralistic realities legitimately coexist. The consequences are those of an irreversible fragmentation of society into two levels: on one hand there is a majority of taxpayers less exposed to the process of public governance, plagued by recession, the austerity and predatory behavior generated by this, and on the other there is the elite patron who lives at the apex of the social scale, within the major powers, which is a small part of the population
Innovazione digitale e destinazioni turistiche intelligenti. Il Protocollo SMAS
The technological revolution is transforming the classic paradigms of tourism. If on one hand, thanks to the transition from analogue to digital, cities have become Smart Cities, on the other the destinations have evolved into Smart Destinations, forcing a global revision of the service and supply systems. With the integration of connective technologies, tourist destinations have become the center of advanced technological infrastructures; the transition from a classic to an intelligent tourism standpoint stem imposes new organizational models. The study frames the functional tools for tourist planning conveyed by ICT and proposes a structural reorganization of holiday destinations, in a smart perspective. Finally, the research leads to the elaboration of a model that monitors the performance of digitized tourist destinations, called SMAS. The application of the SMAS enables a quick acquisition of information in the digitization of tourist-oriented territories, giving the opportunity to make dynamic changes in their organizational structure, in symbiosis with the rapid evolutionary process of digital technologies
Assetti e scenari territoriali connessi all'attivazione dei parchi naturali in Italia, con particolare riferimento agli aspetti sociali ed economici
Research on sustainable models of economic development continues to
fuel the historical debate on the relationship between human beings and
nature. Politics is the most appropriate context where large scale economic
intervention is planned. This article deals with the governance of the
environment on three territorial dimensions: international, E.U.-based, and
national. It takes into consideration one the most characterizing aspects of
environmental protection policies, i.e. the management of conservation
areas and nature reserves. By chronicling the development of measures of
environmental protection, the objectives, tools and actors of the policies in
this field are analyzed. In particular, the study examines the socio-economic
aspects linked to the establishment and management of Italian conservation
areas and National Parks as instruments for enhancing the Italian natural
heritage
