Tembang anggitane Andang C.Y minangka salah sawijining karya seni kang ngandharake kahanan sosial lan kahanan alam ing urip bebrayan, mligine ana ing Kabupaten Banyuwangi. Tembang anggitane Andang C.Y didadekake objek panliten amarga bisa narik kawigaten kanggo ditliti. Tembang mau bisa narik kawigaten kanggo ditliti, amarga tembang karya Andang C.Y nggunakake pamilihing tembung lan lelewaning basa kang endah. Saliyane nggunakake basa kang endah, karya Andang C.Y uga nduweni nilai fungsi kang migunani tumrap masyarakat.              Saka andharan alesane panliten, undheran sajroning panliten iki yaiku (1) Kepriye wujud pamilihing tembung sing digunakake pangripta?, (2) Kepriye wujud pangolahing tembung sing digunakake pangrita?, (3) Kepriye fungaionalitas pamilih lan pangolahing tembang kang digayutake karo masyarakat?. Saka undheran panliten mau, tujuwan saka panliten iki yaiku (1) Ngandharake wujud pamilihing tembung sing digunakake pangripta, (2) Ngandhare wujud pangolahing tembung sing digunakake pangripta, (3) Ngandharake pamilih lan pangolahing tembang kang digayutake karo masyarakat.. Paedah saka panliten iki diajab bakal (1) panliten iki didadekake bahan seserepan ngenani teori stilistika lan teori-teori liyane kang ana gayutake karo teori mau, (2) bisa nambah wawasan ngenani tembang Banywuangi kang nggunakake Basa Using, (3) analisis iki uga nganalisis ngenani nilai fungsi karya sastra, saengga masyarakat penikmat sastra bisa ndudut amanat, piwulang, lan makna kang diandharne pangripta sajroning karyane.                 Panliten iki nggunakake pendekata stiistika kang awujud metode analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data panliten iki yaiku pangripta tembang, yaiku Andang C.Y. Data kang digunakake yaiku antologi tembang campursari Banyuwangi karya Andang C.Y, kang jumlahe ana 20 tembang. Teknik pangumpuling data yaiku kanthi nggunakake teknik dhokumentasi lan wawancara, kanthi cara maca, nyathet, lan pustaka. Cara ngolah data yaiku kanthi nggunakake pendekatan stilistika.                 Asiling saka panliten iki nuduhake aspek kang onja sajroning antologi campursari Banyuwangi karya Andang C.Y yaiku saka pamilihing tembung, pangolahing tembung kang ana. Pamilihing tembung digunakake dening pangripta nduweni tujuwan kanggo ngripta karya sastra kang endah lan nuduhake salah sawijining karya kang nduweni nilai, makna, lan paedah. Analisis kapisan kanthi merang kelompok tema kang luwih onjo tinimbang tema liyane. Kelompok tema kaperang dadi patang kelompok, yaiku kelompok tema pitutur tumrap bocah, kelompok tema katresnan, kelompok tema sosial, lan kelompok tembang panyengkuyung. Pamerange kelompok tema kasebut kaperang miturut ciri-ciri tartamtu sajroning tembang kang nuduhake tema kang padha. Pamilihing tembung kang asring digunakake yaiku titi swara, lan titi tembung. Titi swara sing digunakake yaiku purwakanthi guru swara (asonansi), puewakanti guru sastra (aliterasi), lan purwakanthi guru basa/lumaksita. Titi tembung kaperang dadi rong kelompok analisis, yaiku aspek estetis lan aspek makna. Aspek estetis sing digunakake sajroning tembange yaiku akeh tinemu tembung saroja lan saperangan tembung yogyaswara. Aspek makna kang akeh tinemu sajroning tembang yaiku tembung kang ora nduweni makna sabenere (teges entar) lan saperangan teges wantah.                 Saka andharan analisis mau, bisa dingerteni yen antologi campursari Banyuwangi anggitane Andang C.Y nggunakake pamilihing tembung lan mangolahin tembung kang kaya andharan mau. Pamilihing lan pangolahing tembung digunakake pangripta kanggo ngandharake ciri-ciri tartamtu sajroning tema lan uga nuduhake pitutur sajroning karyane. Tembang anggitane Andang Ora mung digunakake kanggo panglipur, nanging uga mujudake karya sastra (tembang) kang nduweni nilai fungsi tumrap masyarakat.     Rb-Sr Isotopic Study of Andesites from Lu-Tao, Lan-Hsu and Hsiao-Lan-Hsu, Eruption Ages and Isotopic Heterogeneity

    [[abstract]]Rb-Sr radiometric ages and initial 87Sr/86Sr ratios have been measured for some volcanic samples erupted near the onset time of collision between the Luzon Arc and the Eurasian Piate at the islets of Lu-Tao, Lan-Hsu, and Hsiao-Lan-Hsu. Four Lu-Tao horn-blende-biotite andesites have ages 9.4, 2.9, 2.3, and 1.1 Ma based on data for coexisting biotite-plagioclase pairs. Two similar samples from Hsiao-Lan-Hsu show younger ages of ≦ 1.0 Ma. These ages are consistent with the K-Ar ages (Richard et al., 1986) but significantly expand the duration of dated magmatic activities. However, distinct isotopic heterogeneities observed in some of the coexisting amphibole separates render the oldest age in suspect. The younger ages imply that the magmatic activities lasted at least until two million years after the beginning of the collision, consistent with that inferred previously for the Coastal Range by paleontological and paleomagnetic means. The initial 87Sr/86Sr for the above six rocks range from 0.70478 to 0.70524 while a pyroxene andesite from Lan-Hsu yields a similar value of 0.70472. Such high ratios are unusual among intra-oceanic arcs. If no substantial exchange with seawater has occurred in the genesis of these andesites then the involvement of continental crustal material is implicated. Since these values are much higher than that reported for the Coastal Range in the northern section of the arc (< 0.7035, Shih, 1973), its Sr isotopic composition seems to be heterogeneous. There is no apparent correlation between the initial ratios and the eruption ages.     Reversing radial segregation and suppressing morphological instability during vertical Bridgman crystal growth by rotation

    During vertical Bridgman growth of an alloy crystal, local accumulation of solute at the interface center due to buoyancy often causes formation of a deep depression or pit and accelerates morphological instability. Through visualization of the freezing interface during directional solidification of succinonitrile containing ethanol on a rotating table, it was shown that rotation about the ampoule axis might reverse solute distribution and remove pit formation. Simulation was also conducted to explain the observations
