The essay first analyses the conflict between freedom of conscience and mandatory vaccination, with references to the different case of mandatory vaccination for minors, which offers useful arguments for dealing with. The introduction will also clear the field from what does not constitute conscientious objection, specifically the avoidance of vaccination linked to health reasons. Then will be examined the discipline introduced by d.l. 44/2021 and the state of the art on the possibility of raising conscientious objection to the mandatory vaccination, a problem introduced by the new legislation. In conclusion, the author support the obligation introduced by the new discipline, since it has successfully absorbed the criticism of previous vaccination plans, and has done a reasonable balance between the right to therapeutic self-determination, the freedom of conscience, the right to work and the right to collective health
Quasi-real photon contribution to AN in lp↑ →φ X within a TMD approach
Within a TMD approach we discuss the impact of quasi-real (Weizsäcker-Williams) photon contribution to the transverse single-spin asymmetry, AN, for the inclusive process lp↑ → φ X. This study extends a previous one where only the leading-order contribution was taken into account. Predictions are obtained adopting the Sivers and transversity distributions and the Collins fragmentation functions as extracted from fits to the azimuthal asymmetries measured in semiinclusive deep inelastic scattering and e+e-annihilation processes. The description of the available data is very good, showing a clear general improvement with respect to the previous analysis (already quite promising). This result represents a further step towards a unified TMD treatment of SSAs in lp↑ → l'hX and lp↑ → hX processes
