The G0 experiment at Jefferson Laboratory: The nucleon strangeness form factors

    No full text
The G0 experiment is dedicated to the determination of the strange quark's contribution to the electric and magnetic nucleon form factors, provided by parity-violating asymmetries of cross-sections measured with longitudinaly polarized electrons in elastic electron-proton scattering and quasi-elastic electron-deuteron scattering. Forward angle measurements, which have been performed in Hall C of Jefferson Laboratory, have provided a linear combination of electric and magnetic vector form factors for momentum transfers in the range 0.1 to 1 (GeV/c)^2. Backward angle measurements, which will be performed starting in 2006, will allow the complete separation of the form factors of Q^2 of 0.23 and 0.63 (GeV/c)^2

The G0 experiment at Jefferson Laboratory: Measurement of the weak neutral form factors of the nucleon

The G0 experiment aims to measure parity-violating asymmetries in elastic electron-proton and quasi-elastic electron-deuteron scattering. This experimental program allows to perform the separation of the electric and magnetic weak neutral and axial form factors for three different momentum transfers 0.3, 0.5 and 0.8 (GeV/c)2^2. The first part of the experiment has been performed in Hall C of Jefferson Laboratory with a commissioned setup. A preliminary analysis of the data has provided a first estimate of the main systematic uncertainties. The analysis to determine the actual physics asymmetries is proceeding

The utilitarian représentation of sport in Rumania, a brake in the development of leisure practice. Since the countries of central Europe entered the liberal sphere influence, the consumptions of possessions and services develop there. We observe a movement of tutellaire and ideological emancipation of the sports organizations, but the practice of popular physical activities delays developing. If, on the ground, we notice the appearance of an structured professionally offer, contrary to all expectations, it does not pull a real increase of consumption. This situation which rises in inferred paradox a cultural interrogation on the previous history of these brakes. Historically, the sport during the influence of communist sphere was enpreint of elitist and nationalist ideologies. An inquiry, made with the professionals of the forming in physical and sports education, moves closer to this weak development of the popular sports with the cultural inheritance of the country. The frame of sports of leisure in the representation that builds itself the professional actors, as the consumers, always revet a strongly utilitarian dimension which hinders its development. To develop the sports of leisure implies to integrate this peculiarity into the professionals of sports forming programme

Digital technologies foster two types of attitudes: either the enchanted discourse about the wonder of global access to information or the catastrophy of the digital divide which expands the social divide between riche and poor, especially between North and South of the planet. Beyond these attitudes, the present communication aims at reconsidering the nature of relationship between nations in a symbolic perspective of information exchange. Rather than borders between nations we prefer to speak of mutual exchange of cultures and identities. Traduction is a process that permits exchanges and can be carried out due to the universal adoption of digital technologies by the young generations of all continents
