    Machine Learning Based Model for Prediction of Autism Spectrum Disorder

    Abstract: Autism spectrum disorder is a neurodevelopmental disorder that affects a person's interaction, communication and learning skills. Although diagnosis of autism can be done at any age, its symptoms generally appear in the first two years of life and develop through time. Autism patients face different types of challenges such as difficulties with concentration, learning disabilities, mental health problems such as anxiety, depression, motor difficulties, sensory problems, and many others. Diagnosis of autism requires significant amount of time and cost. Earlier detection of autism can come to a great help by prescribing patients with proper medication at an early stage. It can prevent the patient's condition from deteriorating further and would help to reduce long term costs associated with delayed diagnosis. Thus, an efficient, accurate and easy screening test tool is very much required which would predict autism traits in an individual. The main idea behind this project is to detect autism spectrum disorder in an individual (male/female). This project is implemented by making use of a Machine Learning model using parameters such as an individual's age, gender, ethnicity, Autism Quotient Tool. The detection derived from this project will help an individual to get required diagnosis in time to prevent further complications of developing Alzheimer's disease.     Removal of copper and cadmium from the aqueous solutions by activated carbon derived from Ceiba pentandra hulls

    Activated carbon prepared from Ceiba pentandra hulls, an agricultural solid waste by-product, for the removal of copper and cadmium from aqueous solutions has been studied. Parameters such as equilibrium time, effect of pH and adsorbent dose on removal were studied. The adsorbent exhibited good sorption potential for copper and cadmium at pH 6.0. C O and S O functional groups present on the carbon surface were the adsorption sites to remove metal ions from solution. The experimental data was analysed by both Freundlich and Langmuir isotherm models. The maximum adsorption capacity of copper and cadmium was calculated from Langmuir isotherm and found to be 20.8 and 19.5 mg/g, respectively. The sorption kinetics of the copper and cadmium have been analysed by Lagergren pseudo-first-order and pseudo-second-order kinetic models. The desorption studies were carried out using dilute hydrochloric acid solution and the effect of HCl concentration on desorption was also studied. Maximum desorption of 90% for copper and 88% for cadmium occurred with 0.2M HCl

Focus of present study is on Author-Self-Archiving (A-S-A)Metadata of the 983 Eprints in the Live Archives of the E-LIS (EPrints of Library and Information Science),which were approved till 7th July 2004.The A-S-A Metadata was used for librametric analysis.     In the context of the low levels of regional cooperation among South Asian countries when compared with the successful results from cooperation in East Asia (consisting of South East and East Asian countries), the objective of this paper is first to assess the prospects of cooperation among South Asian economies and then to draw lessons from East Asian regional experiments for South Asian regionalism for the betterment of these prospects. The main argument of the paper is that South Asia should adopt a twin-track approach : better integration within itself and better integration with rest of the world particularly East Asia.     M. N. Srinivas, the well known sociologist is widely recognised as architect of modern Indian sociology and social anthropology. His publications have been analysed by year, domain, authorship pattern, channels of communication used. Keywords, etc. The results indicate that the papers published by him are of a nature that qualify him to be a 'role model' for the younger generations to emulate. By the end of 1995, Srinivas had to his credit 144 papers which, included 33 broad papers in sociology and anthropology; 18 papers in social change; 28 papers in village studies; 12 papers on religion; 17 papers on caste and 36 papers of general popular interest. The periods 1958-61 and 1974-77, when Srinivas was 38-41 and 58-61 years old. were his most productive periods with highest publication activity
