Per un orientamento trasformativo. Il ruolo delle scienze bioeducative.
The issue of gender differences in education has
been a central theme in educational research for a
number of years. From their earliest years,
stereotypes and prejudices continue to hamper
girls' educational and professional choices,
preventing them from seeing themselves in roles
other than those that culture has always labelled as
feminine. Hence the need for a transformative
orientation action aimed at strengthening the
gender dimension and providing female students
with the necessary tools to critically understand
reality, build their own identity and realise their own
life project
Disabilità e migrazione: nuove alleanze per l’inclusione
The presence on the territory of children, young people and adults of foreign origin, migrants or second generation migrants, with disabilities represents, an increasingly concrete and complex reality at the same time. The double condition migrant-disabled could trigger social, cultural and educational related issues which complicate the path of inclusion by worsening inequalities, discrimination and social exclusion. Faced with the support that the school offers to pupils with disabilities and their families, the educational institutions ask, in turn, for more support from the territorial services: namely a team work (curricular teachers, support teachers, educators, cultural mediators, child neuropsychiatrists, speech therapists, social workers, parents) able to create the appropriate mediation strategies aimed at promoting meetings and dialogues. In the light of these considerations, the following contribution intends to propose a reflection on the need to design, from the point of view of reception and social and educational inclusion, new training paths in which the skills of teachers and operators intersect and enrich each other in daily practice, experimenting innovative methodologies responding to the new challenges of inclusion.
The research reported in the paper has as its objective the study and analysis of the issue of the gender
gap in science (STEM) courses at pre-school level and presents the results of a qualitative investigation
(grounded theory) involving more than 20 teachers. The specific group of professionals involved acts as a
support to restore meaning to the educational experience and to extract precisely from the context explored
the elements of a design capable of intercepting critical issues and tracing trajectories of awareness
for an educational culture capable of acting on changes and gender prejudices precisely from the quality
of everyday practice
Even in their early years, stereotypes and prejudices continue to hinder girls' educational and professional choices. They prevent them from seeing themselves in roles other than that of carer. Therefore, there is a need for a transformative orientation action that, based on reflection, can deconstruct stereotypes, and provide students with the necessary tools to critically understand reality, build their own identity and realize their own life project
In recent years, the field of Artificial Intelligence has witnessed significant progress in the area of Generative AI and, in particular, in the development of language generation models, such as the Generative Pre-trained Transformer (GPT) developed by OpenAI, which has revolutionised the field of natural language processing. Educational research has an obligation to provide realistic working hypotheses and models that are congruent with the very purpose of education and that can be concretely used within it to improve its effectiveness,
safety and accountability. It is therefore essential to analyse the issue in all its dimensions and to identify the potential and the limits of this new and possible educational alliance
The approach to the design of social and health care environments should no longer be
understood solely as a function of the treatment of disease but must be able to link instances of
humanisation through the design of health care places with the improvement of patient conditions and
staff satisfaction. Several studies show how spaces can have positive effects both on patients, in terms of
participation, favourable contexts for healing processes, positive impact on clinical outcomes of illness
and safety conditions, and on staff, in terms of organisational well-being, increased performance and
reduced conflicts. The following paper reports on a training exercise carried out during the specialisation
course in pedagogy and didactics with students of the Masters in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics, who
tried their hand at designing innovative and inclusive environments in order to improve their professional
skills
When diversity is a resource
During the sixties (60') and the seventies researcher and teachers focused on the definition of handicap. In the early 70's -an Italian psychiatrist- Basaglia wrote about the negative impact of capitalist society on people in his books "L'istituzione negata" and "La maggioranza deviante". In the capitalist society a small group of people produces and buys all goods and services, whether a vast majority of people, such as students, old people, children, disabled people, people with mental issues, does not take place into the productive process. Profess or Basaglia says to reduce the gap between people the society must be restructured only a society that is flexible and that takes a care of diversity can guarantee equality. It is necessary to focus on interaction between people rather than isolation. This new vision of diversity led to many National and International laws, and in education to what Dario lanes calls inclusive education. By the time- with the laws and pedagogical researches- disability has been protected and new processes of inclusion started. Disability tends to be misunderstood and considered the cause of isolation and exclusion, because of its effects on people: limits, difficulties, pains. Can the diversity itself help people with diversity?
The experience and life example of people who overcame disability and have seen it as an opportunity, a chance to strive for more, can support and help other differently abled people? This contribution tries to answer to these questions reflecting on this through the presentation of sam
Costruire Competenze Professionali Attraverso La Didattica Laboratoriale.
