Intelligent agent-based simulation for supporting operational planning in country reconstruction
This paper proposes the development of conceptual models for supporting operational
planning in complex scenarios characterised by critical issues such as natural disasters, crisis,
asymmetric warfare, etc. In this context, it is fundamental to take into consideration social and
psychological aspects; so the author developed a special kind of intelligent agents (IAs) driving
computer generated forces (CGF), specific for normalisation and stabilisation phase with
particular focus on CIMIC and PSYOPs operations, in order to consider the human aspects as
well as the impact of social networks on this context as further development of their IA-CGF.
The research provides an overview about conceptual models to beimplemented in a simulator for
supporting CIMIC and PSYOPs operations planning during stabilisation and normalisation
phases in country reconstruction. The author proposes the general architecture of the simulator,
focusing on objects attributes and features and verification, validation and accreditation (VV&A)
process

In una prospettiva inversa e complementare rispetto a quella tradizionale, molto frequentata dagli studi, focalizzata sul processo di cristianizzazione della cultura classica nella poesia tardoantica, questo volume collettivo, esito di un seminario annuale che si è svolto a Nizza dal 2016 al 2018, intende approfondire lo studio del processo romanizzazione della fede, ovvero della alterazione del suo contenuto originario sotto la suggestione dell’inculturazione romana del cristianesimo.
La questione fondamentale che viene posta è, cioè, se la poesia costituisca un semplice ornamento per la religione oppure ne operi una trasformazione sostanziale: e in questa seconda direzione appaiono orientati i dieci contributi incentrati su autori dal III al VI sec. d.C

A Simulation Model for Dispersion Equation in a Bounded Domain

Innovative solutions based on modelling and simulation for supporting decisions makers in maritime logistics
The research proposes a new approach based on modelling and
simulation to support decision making inmarine logistics. The aim is to
identify innovative and effective solutionsfor maritime logistics problems with
a particular focus on petrochemical industries, where different production sites
need exchange intermediate products by marine lines
So, the authors propose a simulation model, named maritime logistic
network (MARLON) which is combined together with additional simulators,
developed by the authors, in order to support decision makers in maritime
logistics. The authors present MARLON features, functions and architecture.
In addition, in order to validate the model, it is provided an experimental
analysis on a specific case study. This paper presents even benefits and
advantages of the simulation use in termof resources, time and costs; as matter
of fact, the authors define an algebraic equation for the evaluation of savings, in
term of monetary value, by using simulation
