It more specifically shows and discusses the integrated collection of art works housed there.Het werk van de veelzijdige kunstenaar Jan Fabre spreekt al meer dan dertig jaar tot de verbeelding. Met zijn legendarische voorstelling Het is theater zoals te verwachten en te voorzien was plaatste hij begin jaren 1980 een bom onder het toenmalige theaterbestel. Sindsdien is Fabre, ook met zijn beeldende kunst en literaire werk, niet meer van het culturele voorplan verdwenen. Hij exposeerde in talrijke grote musea zoals het Louvre, het Kunsthistorisches Museum Wien, het Stedelijk museum Amsterdam, en binnenkort ook in de Hermitage St. Petersburg. Zijn obsessie met de verschillende gedaantes van het menselijk lichaam en het opvoeren van zichzelf als personage maakten zijn creaties wereldberoemd.
Dit boek zoomt in op de centrale plek waar al deze verbeelding en creativiteit borrelt en ontstaat: het Troubleyn/Laboratium, de werkplaats van Jan Fabre aan de rand van de Seefhoek, de Antwerpse volkswijk waar de kunstenaar is opgegroeid. Hier werkt Jan Fabre met zijn theatergezelschap Troubleyn aan nieuwe creaties. Tegelijk is het bijzondere gebouw met zijn bewogen geschiedenis ook een vrijplaats waar jonge kunstenaars in een professionele en stimulerende omgeving vorm kunnen geven aan hun dromen. Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed.
