The heritage on the tightrope: the case of the chapel and the feast of Santa Quitéria in the district of Rodrigo Silva (Ouro Preto - MG)
No full textA presente pesquisa buscou refletir sobre o processo de patrimonialização como um fenômeno característico do nosso tempo, tendo como enfoque os bens culturais representativos das classes marginalizadas, às vezes institucionalizados como patrimônio municipal. Analisamos a construção da história oficial por membros politizados e da elite de Ouro Preto, seguindo pela apropriação feita pelo SPHAN para consolidação de suas políticas patrimoniais. Desta forma, almejou-se elucidar como a dominação da memória e do fazer histórico foram centradas nas obras barrocas e de Aleijadinho, localizadas no centro de Ouro Preto. Utilizadas e reutilizadas, coligiram na ideia de “cidade histórica” e posteriormente de “cidade-monumento”. O nosso principal objetivo incide sobre o patrimônio cultural local, especialmente naqueles representativos para a própria comunidade, que foram por séculos excluídos e marginalizados dos processos culturais. Sendo assim, nosso objeto de estudo contempla a festa e a capela de Santa Quitéria do alto da Boa Vista, pertencente ao distrito de Rodrigo Silva, inventariadas e no processo de tombamento desde o ano de 2005. Para compreender o silêncio que os assola, permeamos por conceitos teóricos da historiografia do patrimônio cultural e também por questões práticas, ressaltando as ações dos órgãos de preservação como o IPHAN, o IEPHA, Conselhos e Departamentos municipais da cidade de Ouro Preto. Como uma estratégia de salvaguarda e utilizando de documentação e estudos adequados, dedicamos um capítulo para narrar sobre as memórias da capela e da festa de Santa Quitéria, bens significativos para a comunidade. O trabalho buscou demonstrar como este período democrático no qual vivemos possibilita a inserção de diferentes expressões culturais que compõem nossa heterogênea sociedade. Por fim, como exercício de cidadania, a intervenção prática aqui realizada refletiu sobre o papel social do patrimônio cultural e sua apropriação pela própria comunidade.The present research aims to reflect on the process of patrimonialization as a characteristic phenomenon of our time, focusing on the representative cultural assets from the marginalized classes, institutionalized as municipal patrimony. We analyze the construction of the official history by politicized members and the elite of Ouro Preto, followed by the appropriation made by SPHAN to consolidate its patrimonial policies. Itintends to elucidate how the domination of memory and historical making focused on the baroque works of Aleijadinho, located in the center of Ouro Preto. Used and reused, they gathered in the idea of "historical city" and later of "city-monument". The main objective is related to local cultural heritage, especially those that are representative of the local population, who have been excluded and marginalized from cultural processes for centuries. Therefore, our object of study contemplates the feast and the chapel of Santa Quitéria of the high of Boa Vista, pertaining to the district of Rodrigo Silva, inventoried and in the process of tipping since the year of 2005. To understand the silence that devastates them, we permeate by theoretical concepts of the historiography of cultural heritage and also by practical issues, highlighting the actions of preservation bodies such as IPHAN, IEPHA, Councils and municipal departments of the city of Ouro Preto. As a safeguard strategy and using proper documentation and studies, we dedicated a chapter to narrate about the memories of the chapel and the feast of Santa Quiteria, meaningful goods for the local population. Thus, this paper intends to show how this democratic period allows the insertion of different cultural expressions that make up our heterogeneous society. Finally, as an exercise in citizenship, the practical intervention carried out here reflected on the social role of cultural heritage and its appropriation by the community itself
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
