Hot Stock or Not? A Qualitative Multi-Attribute Model to Detect Financial Market Manipulation
The emergence of online financial information channels, such as web portals and financial blogs, eases the challenge process for scammers of publishing fraudulent contents in order to manipulate share prices. To maintain market integrity, financial market surveillance authorities monitor these different information channels to detect suspicious behaviour. However, as the available amount of online information increases, analyses become more costly and time-consuming. In order to support related decisions, we have developed a model to identify fraudulent situations. Based on interviews with domain experts, we first identified the factors determining suspicious situations and then applied a qualitative multi-attribute modelling technique. Thereby, our resulting model builds upon valuable knowledge of domain experts and provides means to address the challenge of information based market manipulation

PRODUCTION OF FORMALIN WITH LOWER UTILITIES
Za družbo Nafto Petrochem d.o.o, smo v diplomskem delu naredili raziskavo za proces proizvodnje formalina. Naša glavna naloga je bila učinkovitejša proizvodnja formalina, zato smo se usmerili v toplotno integracijo procesa. V delno integriranem procesu smo razpoložljivo toploto uporabili za segrevanje obstoječega srebrovega procesa in s tem zmanjšali porabo pogonskih sredstev, ter proizvodnjo nizkotlačne pare v oksidnem procesu. Simulacije smo izvajali z računalniškim procesnim simulatorjem Aspen Plus, v katerem smo spreminjali parametre, da smo dobili rezultate, katere smo nato podrobno analizirali.
Z metodo analize uščipa smo podrobno preučili vse pridobljene podatke in ugotovili, kateri od podatkov se najbolj približajo vrednosti 1 maksimalne možne toplotne integracije v procesu.For company Nafta Petrochem d.o.o, we made a research study for the process production of formalin. Our main task was more efficient production of formalin, so we focus on thermal integration of the process. In partly integrated process, we used the available heat of the silver process and so we reduce the consumption of the utilities, and producing low pressure steam in the oxide process. Simulations were performed with a computerized simulator Aspen Plus procedural, in which we change the parameters and then we got results, which we then analyzed in detail.
By pinch analysis, we examine in detail all the information obtained and determine which of the data is most closer to the maximum possible integration value of 1 in the process
Decision Making: A Computer-Science and Information-Technology Viewpoint
We address the phenomenon of decision making from the viewpoint of computer science and information technology. The basic question from this viewpoint is: what can the computer offer to decision makers and how it can support their work? Therefore, the main issue is to provide support to people who make complex decisions. In this article, we first present the taxonomy of disciplines that are concerned with methodological and operational aspects of decision support. At the main level, we distinguish between decision sciences, which are concerned with human decision making, and decision systems, which address computer decision making. This is followed by basic definitions related to decision processes and their components. We also describe properties that characterise different classes of decision problems. In the main part of the article, we present three prevailing approaches to decision support and give illustrative examples of their application: decision analysis, operational research, and decision support systems. Renovation of warehousing and purchasing operations in a manufacture company of gaming instruments
V diplomskem delu smo predstavili nekatere rešitve, ki smo jih vpeljali v proces skladiščno-nabavnega poslovanja v podjetju Počkaj d.o.o., ki trži svoje produkte, kot so elektronska ruleta, Black Jack in Poker v različnih različicah, pod blagovno znamko Alfastreet. V prvem delu smo predstavili zgodovino podjetja, poslovne enote, organizacijsko strukturo ter oddelke, ki podjetje sestavljajo. Sledi predstavitev informacijskega sistema GoSoft 2000. Ta je namenjen podpori pri operacijah, ki jih opravljajo posamezni oddelki na nivoju celotnega podjetja ter kooperantov. Opisali smo njegove module ter uporabnost na vseh nivojih poslovanja podjetja. V drugem delu diplomskega dela smo razvili rešitve in jih uvedli pri prenovi nabavnega, logističnega in skladiščnega poslovanja podjetja. Opisana je uvedba tehnološkega zapisnika, ki je poenostavila postopek naročila izdelka in olajšala komunikacijo med prodajnim in nabavnim oddelkom. Druga izboljšava je uvedba kreiranja delovnih nalogov s pomočjo kosovnic, torej izdelava določenih sklopov artiklov, ki se pri večini izdelkov enakega tipa ponavljajoizboljšava omogoča nabavni službi hitro planiranje potreb proizvodnje za doseganje realizacije. Kot zadnjo smo predstavili uvedbo črtne kode in mikrolokacij materiala, ki se skladišči na regalih v skladišču podjetja. Ta uvedena novost je na nivoju skladiščnega poslovanja občutno pripomogla k poenostavitvi skladiščenja materiala in polizdelkov ter skrajšala pot in čas, ki so ga potrebovali skladiščniki za pripravo materiala za proizvodni proces.In this thesis we presented some solutions that we introduced into the process of warehousing and purchasing operation in the Počkaj d. o. o. company, which produces electronic roulette machines, Black Jack and Poker in various versions under the trademark Alfastreet. In the first part we presented the company history, its business units, organizational structure and the company departments. This is followed by the presentation of the information system GoSoft 2000. It is intended for the support at operations that single departments perform on the level of the entire company and cooperators. We described GoSoft 2000 modules and their usefulness at all the levels of the company operation. In the second part of the thesis we developed solutions and implemented them in the renovation of the purchasing, logistic and warehousing operations of the company. We described the implementation of specification list, which simplified the product order process and eased the communication between sales and purchasing departments. The second improvement is the formation of work orders with bills of materials, i.e., the production of certain article complexes that keep recurring throughout most products of the same typethe improvement allows the purchasing department a quick production requirements planning for realization achievement. At last we introduced the bar code and material microlocations, stored on the racks of the company’s warehouse. At the level of warehouse operation, this innovation has substantially simplified the storage of material and intermediate products and it also shortened the travelled distance and time required by warehouse employees for the material preparation used in the production process

This chapter of the 2nd edition includes discussion of deep learning, do-it-yourself (DIY) robotic projects, popular microcontrollers, contributed by Marko Popovic as well as material contributed by new co-author Mihailo Lazarevic on fractional PID control approach. All these are quite relevant in the context of biomechatronics research
